1. Sure, the post slider can also be set to slide at 1,2,3… seconds and the navigation arrows will remain as they are in that case.

2. Those related posts can be configured from theme’s panel to show posts in relation to common tags or categories: http://screencast.com/t/7gKR2qfU5 but with some additional customizations added to theme’s query I believe you can set theme to show articles based on popularity. Please keep in mind that though that you would need someone to have a look and do those customizations for you if you do not have coding knowledge because we cannot provide customization services at the moment.

If you have access to your admin panel then go ahead and empty all caches first then deactivate all plugins, leave enabled just theme’s VC plguin then check your front end again and also empty browser’s cache: https://kb.iu.edu/d/ahic

Hi,

In theme’s page speed guide: http://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ we recommend using WP Smush.it plugin but you can also try other similar plugins or use a the hook to jpeg_quality which is also mentioned there as you’ve also stated the long road will be to use Photoshop or a similar image editor software to compress your image before uploading them to your wp.

These are 3 methods recommended by us but you can search online for other more convenient ways.

If you refer to the Visual Composer Grid builder, please not that the custom template can be applied only on Visual Composer elements and not to the tagdiv blocks.

To create a custom Big Grid block you will need to alter the code and this is not an easy task so I suggest to hire professional developer to do this for you as we are not available for custom services – http://screencast.com/t/ny8ZnoXluuuH

Both themes share the same core so their functionality and performances are similar. The main differences are in designs/appearances and the content area width which slightly differs from one theme to another, newspaper’s grid width is 1068px while newsmag’s width is 1021px. Other differences are also appear regarding features, some of the blocks are present on one and missing on the other. I’m not sure what you mean, the lighbox feature is available only for post images,It will not be applied to block’s thumbnails. When you click on block/module thumbnail the article will be opened.
