The code for the Portfolio Details are present in the file named ‘shortcodes.php’ in the function ‘be_project_details’. This file is present in the BE page Builder plugin.

Note that , we do not recommend making any changes to the core theme files as you might lose them while updating the theme. You have to install and activate the Child theme, and make the customisation there. Also, the issues that might occur due to the customisations will not fall within the scope of our support.

If you have gotten the syntax right, the shortcode should display the content. If you want me to debug this, it is best if you could host your site on to a server so i can log in to check this.

Hi Charlotte,

I am not sure how different your grid has gotten after the update, without knowing which i cannot help you restore it back. All i can assure you is that we have not modified any thing in this update that will automatically disrupt the grid.

The issue that you had currently in the personal works page was because all the items in the grid were set as either double width or double height. As i have mentioned to you earlier, there needs to be at least one normal item in the grid for double width/height to work correctly. I have removed this setting from the first item and the images are loading well.

Hi,

It is likely that one of the 3rd party plugin that you are using in your site is disrupting the styling required by the BE Page Builder. Can you please check and disable the plugin, so that the icons are visible.

Are you having any 3rd party plugin in your site, that is modifying the URL of the landing page? Check and disable the plugins to ensure this is not due to conflict with the theme.

Apologies, but there ins’t an option in the theme to modify the meta information that is getting shared in the social media platform. You have to use any 3rd party plugin to modify the meta data.

However I tested this in your post, and the actual link to the blog post is what is getting shared. Only the preview of the Share Page, shows the link the Coming Soon Page.

If you don’t receive emails, then it is likely that your hosting provider has blocked the default php mail() function which is used by the contact form in the theme. In this case, try configuring the contact form 7plugin to send mails using SMTP. The following article will be useful -

I would recommend you to try using the contact form 7 plugin? (free)? ?to create your form. The plugin will provide a shortcode for the form, which you simply need to paste in a PLUGIN SHORTCODES module of the page builder.

Hi I didn’t receive your email regarding the password – anyway I checked the server requirements with my hosting company and all is up to date – however your one click import plugin never worked and there is a serious bug with your publisher plugin that do not update changes – I spent too much time trying to contact you and to have your template running – I bought another template and now I can finally work on my website without frustration and all works smoothly – It’s a shame your template is beautifully designed but it is not working for me – it cost me money and time – Thank you for your efforts but at this stage I would like to be refund and move on, many thanks.

1. I tested the home page, and there isn’t a sidebar that appears in this page. I am sure you are not referring to the Left Header. Apart from that i see only the slider and not any other sidebar. Please send a screenshot of the element, if you think i am overlooking it.

2. To customize the icons, the easiest way is the create Icons using the Icon module in the Page Builder and Copy and Paste them in the Slidebar Widget area under APPEARANCES > WIDGETS. If you want to just add URL to the existing icons, you can key in the URL in the href parameter of the shortcodes present in the text widget in slidebar widget area under APPEARANCES > WIDGETS.

3. The Masonry Layout will pull the images based on their natural dimension, and it is technically not possible to line up the images in a Masonry layout.

4. You need to ensure that all the images that you are using are optimised in size. The sizes should be less than 500kb and the dimension should be within 1920px. You can also have Caching and Minifying enabled in your site, that will reduce the resource load. Apart from this, the server hosting plays a key role, and you have to make sure the server response times are good enough.

5. The email to which the contact form enquires will be set should be set up under OSHINE OPTIONS > CONTACT SETTINGS.

Thanks for the help. I was able to get majority of it working but I still have some questions.

1) How can I change the color for the left sidebar. currently it is white and I need black. Also how can I change the color of the menu to a white and then it changes to gray when you highlight/mouseover it?

2) on the contact page I want to do a parallax image with the top picture but it doesn’t seem to work.

3) The contact email in oshine settings doesn’t work for me even after i sent several forms and placed the proper email.

4) I am not fully satisfied with the masonary layout but I want to use it. Is there any more options or ideas you have about the masonary layout to help me improve with it?

In a gallery Module, you only have the option to add a Hover color with a + icon in the middle. The Name/Caption for the image, can be added however that will be displayed only when the image in the grid is opened in a lightbox. On the other hand, if you want a title on the image on hover, you can use the Portfolio Module, that is much more powerful.

Hi Mattia,

Performance is more important than aesthetics. Printing them in the head tag is the most optimal way in terms of speed & performance. And moreover some servers will not have file permissions for the creation & writing of a css file. So we have to use a method that will be independent of a customers server permission settings.

That didn’t fix it. It still stretches on my iPhone. I’ll just try a different layout, but add that to the list for the next update. It works on your demo but not in the theme being sold.

We are running the latest version on the demo site as well, the one that is shipped to buyers. So I am not sure if there is a setting that you are missing, of if there is any 3rd party plugin that is disrupting the image resizing. Please check and disable this to ensure that this is not due to a conflict with the plugins.

Also include a larger image size. I see that you have included a 300 by 300 image dimension. The width of the container in mobile screen size is itself 320px, so a bigger image might fit better.

Thank you for purchasing the theme. To get the site to look exactly like the V5 demo, you need to import the sample content and settings as per the instructions here – http://www.brandexponents.com/oshine-knowledgebase/knowledge-base/import-demo-content .

The importing of the sample content is divided into the following 4 parts.

1. Import Pages, Posts, Portfolio and Settings 2. Import Sample Sliders – Master Slider or Slider Revolution 3. Set up Main Navigation Menu 4. Set up Home and Blog Pages

The details about each of these parts are given in the above article sequentially. These steps have to be completed to get the Site to look exactly like the demo.
