If you disable/remove Visual Composer, you will break the right functionality for tagdiv blocks and/or other Visual Composer elements – http://screencast.com/t/JQLG92DRDn The Visual Composer plugin can be used to create your posts if you enable it – http://screencast.com/t/e3mJq9R41tq but it was initially designed for pages.

2. I’m not sure what you mean. If you don’t want to use Visual Composer you can disable it, but like I said above you cannot build your pages using our blocks, the modules that you can use on loop templates will still work, for example latest articles, category templates..

If you use predefined footer template all these widgets will appear by default and you can alter them only in the code, but if you change the footer template from Theme Panel > Footer – http://screencast.com/t/o8CCponxpBpw you can add your own widgets from Widgets area – http://screencast.com/t/X8GwdVQx

Hi,

Both themes functionality and performances are similar. The main differences are in designs/appearances and the content area width which slightly differs from one theme to another, newspaper’s grid width is 1068px while newsmag’s width is 1021px. Other differences are also appear regarding features, some of the blocks are present on one and missing on the other(newspaper has a little more features). We plan to constantly add new features to each theme. You can use the same post template on all your articles, you can set a site wide post template from Theme Panel > Post Settings – http://screencast.com/t/vIwC75ARN1c and this will be used on all your posts if you don’t set them different from individual post settings – http://screencast.com/t/tXZUKC0Xnd The smartlist template has to be set manually on each post as by default it is disabled – http://screencast.com/t/VcPugcCEZ

The theme works properly with wordpress 4.4.2 we did not found any issues and also did not received similar reports that’s why I suggested to make sure that you did not get any error during the wordpress update. Also I suggest to check this without any plugins active except Visual Composer, clear all the caches and see if you still have this issue and check the browser’s console for errors and errorlog file.

Unfortunately Newspaper theme was initially designed at this width – 1068px – with an fixed grid layout, responsive as it is fluid and style for desktop/tables/mobile screens and it will not be an easy task to change it as all the theme elements were designed for this specific width and you will need to adjust them too.

Unfortunately the theme doesn’t have an option to add widgets to the top bar, you will have to add it directly in the code, for example you could replace the default theme sign in widget – http://screencast.com/t/p2HS9fGF or register a new sidebar and place it in the top bar so you could add widgets directly to the top bar. You will need custom modifications for this and unfortunately we cannot provide custom services at this time, sorry!

I have read your message/questions and for almost all your queries you will need custom work and/or find plugin to help you to achieve this as the theme doesn’t have these featured by default and you will need custom modifications to the code or to implement some plugins so I suggest to hire someone to do this for you as we don’t provide custom services and these are the plugins tested with the theme(beside the plugins provided with the theme which are specified in the documentation) – http://screencast.com/t/aCbQqk7kWS1F The theme have a review feature that allows the post author to add a review to the article/product but it is not a general option to create a review for all posts from specific a category. We use the default wp post types but you will need to create a custom post type for example to add phone details(Nokia 925) or price tables. To invite customers from all social networks you will need to use a plugin and also the sign in/register pop up widget works based on wordpress log in functionality and you will need custom modifications to alter the code(or use a plugin) as the users cannot sign in using social account. Also for your members I guess that you could use Buddypress plugin, you can read more about it on their documentation – https://codex.buddypress.org/
