Thank you! That happens when theme’s index file is accessed directly, you can find more info about this in this forum tread: http://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/fatal-error-in-wp-contentthemesnewspaper/ and add a redirect rule for it.
If your site’s webmaster tools currently shows notifications on this it will disappear after a while once you add a redirect for it.

Yes, we know about this matter, it’s on our attention and we will try to find a solution as soon as possible. Currently this is the standard functionality for menu items with a drop-down on a touch device.

Hi if I place my ads in the ‘Article inline ad’ option, they don’t show up in posts with Smart Lists. Any ideas?

That happens because smartlists contents isn’t designed to show the ads as its handled different and the smart list use specific templates.
You can use ad spot’s shortcodes to place ads inside smart lists content if you like. We also have this on our requests lists and we will consider trying another approach on this in future updates.

Yes, that happens as the theme handles and renders your adsense ad codes based on its structure in order to deliver responsive banners. When you also add other tags/codes you break its structure and the code is stripped and your ad may not work.
If you want to wrap your adsense ads into a comment or something similar you have to use a solution like the one given here: http://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/ad-settings-and-eu-cookie-law/
If you just want to place your ad tags according to the instructions given. Please these two script resources in theme’s head tag in the header.php file: http://screencast.com/t/k9MTiGw9 then place ad tags to theme’s ad spots: http://screencast.com/t/R5CodpOn it should work.

In that case it means that your ad code dose not work. Try the ads troubleshooter I have gave you in my previous reply: https://support.google.com/dfp_premium/answer/1739296?hl=en
If nothing works also try using a default wp theme and address this to your ad code provider and ask for assistance.

Just a question about the theme – nice, organized – I like it. Regarding posts – can meta information (author, date, etc) be removed completely? If so, does the space where it occupied become blank – or is the info. above and below have normal spacing. I hope that makes sense. Also, in the category lists – I see that for example here: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/category/template-style-1/ every post has just one category (or tag?) in the lower left of its image. Can these contain all the categories in the images – if it belongs to more than one? Finally – are there any shortcodes in the theme – like for quote, accordian, etc. Thanks!

Yes, all those author/date/views/comments informations can be disabled from theme’s panel: http://screencast.com/t/wbXiEVcb and yes, that space becomes blank afterwards but in those case it can be adjusted with a small custom css to appear well.
Just one category will appear there and to display other ones there you woudl need some customizations.
There aren’t any quote, accordion.. shortcodes, the theme has some formats present in posts pages for quotes, paddings and other, you can find more details here: http://forum.tagdiv.com/post-formats-for-tinymce/

Is there any way I can display, in some list form that you have, something like this that would display all associated categories? I’m going to have about 3 or 4 categories. Is there a way I could pay extra for this. On the other hand – can I disable the categories to show at all on any post – yet still assign them for organization and list purposes? Thanks

If I understood this well, you will need this for post form your categories. If so, yes, you could customize the theme and implement a similar behaviour for posts appearing on category pages. Concerning category labels on post, yes they can be turned on and off for post and category pages and if you need other functionality you can customize this functionality too.

Sure, the featured image can be disabled from theme’s panel or you can edit the post template for which you do not need the image and remove it or you can also set a post template that dose not include the featured image.

OK – that’s what I thought and I think I have it right – I wanted the feature image to show in the category list page – but not on the individual post – thanks for making this available on the theme’s option panel – will puchase soon.

Unfortunately one demo can be set on a whole wp install not on its individual categories so each travel, car, health etc demo will need its own wp installation. You do not have to pay any additional fees, those demos are included in the theme and can be imported, you can find more informations at the links I’ve pasted below:

According to the license terms set by Envato: http://themeforest.net/licenses/standard – http://themeforest.net/licenses/faq you can use each theme license on one end product ( finished live site) and on multiple test sites.
So yes, if you plan to use it on multiple live site’s you would need to purchase a license for each site/domain.

I changed the Modal Image settings to On recently, I had been setting it to On individually for each image until now. But all my images are still the same. Plus any future image I add is set to Off by default.

Yes, you can set different sidebar for posts belonging to specific categories therefore set different banners.
Another way would be to customize ad spots to appear only on certain categories but this will require code customization becasue the theme doesn’t have any options on it. We can provide guidance on this but if you are not familiar with conding and you can’t manage following our instructions you would have to turn to a freelancer bacause we do not provide customization services,

Hello,
It is happening many times that the font for the post content change in thickness. I use the open sans that I chose from the theme panel> theme fonts> post content> open sans.
The problem is solved temporarily if I go to the theme panel> theme fonts and I click on save settings.
If I look at the code of the site is always open san, and even if I go to the theme panel all is set correctly (it is always open sans) but it happens many times that the font becomes thinner.

I’m not sure that I follow you. If that widget is available in VC’s page builder you can add it using the page builder then switch the VC from the backend mode to classic mode and get the shortcode from wp’s visual editor. Below you have an example for a default wp widget:

Hi, search box doesn’t appear and mobile menu is not working. They show up fine in Appearance—>Customize but not in any other form, mobile, tablet or desktop. I have no other plugins activated only Akismet, Visual Composer and WP Total Cache. Please advise how to fix this. This is freaking me out.

The W3 Total Cache plugin has many features and modules which needs a thorough configuration becasue features like autominification of your site’s js/css resources can cause problems. I can’t check this on your site as I see you do not have the newspaper theme active anymore however, in your case, I suspect that js autominify is te reason. Lately we recommend using wp supper cache plguin for caching with the theme which is simpler to configure and you can sue it with these recommended settings: http://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
