Yes, the theme provides a possibility to disable just all sharing buttons to remove just the pinterest button you can use custom css and hide it, like this: http://screencast.com/t/Oxt7ARMZjp

Have you made any other changes to your social sharing plugin settings that actually adds these necessary og meta data to your posts? Or do you use a plguin for those og meta data? If you don’t please consider using the Yoast SEO plguin which does that as the theme does not handle those informations.

1. If I am using Big Grid Slide, is it possible to use different categories on every slide? So for example on one slide only 1 specific category would appear, on the other slide, another category, and so on.

1. Unfortunately not, theme’s big grid slider doesn’t have that option. Sorry!
2. I’m not really sure about this but I believe you could set it considering that the theme provides ways of filering your posts on all grids based on categories. Let me know if you need any additional details on any of these matters.

Yes, you can set and use there any post type you like but you should also take into consideration that this grids were designed for the default wp post type and to look well a page or another post type would need a featured image to be used there and pages do not have a featured image settings.

1. Can I reproduce this layout – http://www.nytimes.com/trending/ ? I mainly care about the top ‘Trending’ section which is split into 2 equal columns and the right one has 4 smaller columns inside. Or, in other words, can I custom define the width of your blocks so I can fit more or less posts?
2. Can blog posts be posted continuously into subsequent sections, without filtering them by category? For example, the first 5 posts go into 1st section and the next 10 go into 2nd section?
3. Do you know by chance if any of the Front End Submission plugins or User Submit Form plugins are comparable? What about Social Voting widgets?

1. You can check theme’s demo and its blocks to find if all the elements from the page you have given as an example are preset in the theme. At an overview I believe a similar result is achievable.
2. You could use an offset and arrange them like that but this woudl be kinda hard when using many blocks on your page. The theme also has an unique articles feature which you could enable on a page and which works on a similar principle.
3. I’m not aware of these plugins functionality so unfortunately I can’t offer you any informations on them. Sorry!

1. Of course, I’ve checked all of your theme’s blocks and all other features and variations, and I didn’t find that specific or similar layout. That is why I’m asking if it is possible to change the width of the standard blocks? Can it be done via some standard option or will it require to change templates’ code? Will the overall layout adjust automatically? Will the responsive layout adjust automatically?

1. Theme’s blocks have standard design set width and there aren’t any available options to change those values so for that you would need customizations to theme’s original design and to its gird becasue it will not adjust automatically to your changes. If you need a more accurate answer on this pleas refer to a specific case.
2. Those settings ( offset and unique articles ) are already available within theme’s settings you do not need to implement them.

Feature Request: Would you perhaps consider adding the option for people to insert more than one inline ad? Rather than using one inline and one bottom ad, or one top and bottom ect, I would like to use two inline ad placements (for example: after 3rd and 7th paragraphs), with ad placements aligned either left or right. Hopefully you understand what I mean. It’s becoming the norm now for a lot of online newspapers. Also, for shorter posts, the option to disable the second inline ad placement on an article by article basis would be invaluable. Or perhaps shortcode, so ads can be inserted manually per article. An for an extra inline ad there already is the shortcode method available so you can get one of you ad spots shortcode and place it manually in post’s content right where you would want the ad to appear.

That could be possible but you would have to use an additional plugin in order to provide your visitors/users posting rights as the theme doesn’t have any features on this.
The theme uses wp’s registration system and the registration would need to be enabled from your site’s admin but we have that option disabled for the health demo.
