I am wondering about the huge price lift. Now themes are supportet 6 instead of 12 months? So I have to buy the theme each year new? I understand that you want to generate constant income but the same price for existing customers?

This will be due to the paid support initiative that Envato introduced back in September the 1st, 2015. This does not come from theme authors as we do not have any control over the pricing structure.
Your theme license purchase is a one off purchase, not recurring. It is the support extension of 6/12 months that can be extended periodically, if you so choose
When this was introduced by Envato, in 2015, we (ThemeFusion) released the following statement:

On September 1st, Envato changed the terms for support. When you purchase Avada you receive 6 months of free support. When those 6 months have expired, you can renew your support subscription for another 6 or 12 months at a designated fee.
After the 6 months of included support is over, you’ll still be able to get free theme updates that we release and submit bug reports via email or item comments. In addition you will still be able to access our support center for documentation, knowledge base, video tutorials and other community avenues of support. However, if you do not renew the support subscription after 6 months, then you will not receive access to hands-on support through our ticket system.
In addition, we’re excited to announce that we are issuing a grandfather support system for anyone who purchased Avada before September 1st 2015. While there are still many details to work out, we can confirm the most important part.
Any customer who purchased Avada before September 1st 2015 will be able to continue and get free support through our ticket system as long as we are developing Avada. If Avada is still being developed and updates released, then you will be able to access all of our support system as long as you purchased the theme before September 1st 2015 and have a registered purchase code and setup license verification with our system.
There is a lot of work to still do with the Themeforest API and our own system which relies on it. This will all be handled on our own company site, and it will not sync up with Envato. So for example, if you view your account on Themeforest, you will see that you are only eligible for support for 6 months. However, in our own system you will still be able to access all of our resources including our ticket system.
ThemeFusion is committed to our product, customers and the support we offer. More details will be announced by us in an official statement once everything is finalized.

Love theme but why is the theme panel so slow. It’s only slow when I click on an upload button to addd backgrounds – logos etc. But when I click upload I have to wait 30 seconds at minimum before I can choose any media. Is this normal? Saving is fast.

Usually when someone experiences a speed issue, it is the other way around. If saving is quick then it would be better for our support team to get logged into your installation and test this. If it is a internet speed issue or a server PHP configuration issue, our support will guide you

Also kind of shocked I have to use CSS to customize the buttons. Unless I have not found section to do that in theme panel yet. But I clicked on a predefined color scheme and it changed all buttons and other items. Many other items I could change in theme panel to custom color but not the buttons? Like in the menu for shop button and in WooCommerce sections? I really love theme but seriously? Thought I read you may do a custom color scheme option in threads I read a year ago…...

It will depend what you’re trying to customize on the button. We have quite a few options for the button shortcodes that can be set in your Theme Options (These are applied to your buttons that aren’t shortcodes, such as the button in your menu) and on the button shortcode itself.
Predefined color schemes will reset all of your color selections and adopt the values for that particular scheme. Custom schemes have no been implemented yet, but they are in discussion for the 4.0 and 4.1 release. Nothing has been confirmed yet, it still needs to be approved by the development team for the release cycle.

Thanks for a great theme, but to my disappointment some of the features shown in the demo are not the same when you install the demo from the theme as showcased.

Hmm you can check out Contact Form 7 (free) and also the premium Gravity Forms, both of those should be able to do that however I have not used them in that way so cannot say for certain. We do have design integration for both of those plugins though so they will fit right into your design.

I would like to change my current template with Avada. However, I was wondering how the already published article on my current wordpress template and their image would fit in your template. The articles’ featured images are 600px wide and their height is variable. Does Avada adapt automatically to images size? The thing is I don’t want to have to change all images after changing to Avada theme.

Going by what you have described here, you will be fine but do need to take into account the type of Blog layout and single post layout you choose in Avada. Take a look at the demo site and go to the ‘Blog’ menu item to see the various layout types -> http://avada.theme-fusion.com/
For a layout like ‘Large Image Fullwidth’ an image of a minimum of 800px would be fine, the featured image will fit the available space of the container so therefore will proportionately scale. For choices like grid or medium alternate, smaller images are fine.

We like using your theme. When do you expect to release new big upgrade in version 4 ? We got new project but want to wait for big release to do clean start with Avada version 4. Do you think it will take up to two weeks,.. or over a month?

We expect the new version during March. So it might be in between the range you wrote. I can’t give you a final date at this time. But we are implementing a smooth migration from 3.9.3 to 4.0, so you may want to start your project on current version now, as all your option settings will be ported nicely.

there’s also a problem with the featured images of the related posts in single posts. when the size is set to fixed only two images are fixed. the third one is displaying the auto size. happened to me when i upgraded to 3.9.3.
Another problem is when sharing post links to google plus, the description is missing. these two problem happened only after i upgraded recently. and to confirm i switched back to the older version i was using and these two problems dissapeared. just thought i let you know

If you have fixed images enabled, they should all appear the same size. I would recommend regenerating your thumbnails using this plugin:

Would love to, but “Sign Up Here With Your Themeforest Purchase Code” is an issue, as I stated, I was handed this site.
However, I managed to do what needed to be done by editing the code through FTP.
We understand, glad it’s resolved. unfortunately we can only provide support through verified buyers which is why the support site is setup that way. If you can, try to get the purchase code from the person who gave you the site. Only one purchase code is allowed per site also, so they would of needed to transfer the license to you.

I dont understand the responsiveness for phones and padding. When I get content to look the way I want it to on the web and switch to phone the content gets way to scrunched up and looks awful. What am I not doing correctly?
Example, If I have a one column or a full page container, put left and right padding at lets say 100px. It stays 100px when I am on mobile and looks way to scrunched up. Same goes for %. It doesnt seem to adjust.

This will all come down to setup and configuration. Typically though if you are using that high of a padding value (100px) you should be using a % value so it degrades properly on mobile.

This would depend if you want the entire table to link or just specific content. Specific content like table data can be links just by adding a link to the content in the WP editor. For the entire table ,that would take a bit of customization to do as we do not offer a link option for the full table.

While I can’t guarantee that every WooCommerce extension will work with Avada, we are fully integrated with the core plugin. So if the extension is well coded, you shouldn’t have any issues using it with the Avada theme.
