- the image dimensions are being ignored, these are supposed to be square
- and when i add a new portfolio item and a square Featured Thumb, the new image comes out as a long rectangle.
- I deactivated all plugs and removed all custom css – no change

The portfolio in non masonry mode has always cropped images to around 600×400 – if you don’t supply an image with those minimum dimensions it’s not going to look right, if you’re needing a square look you could change the “portfolio-thumb” size in your functions.php file and then run a plugin to regenerate the thumbnails https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

Actually i was just fixing this – it was due to the me editing the thumbs here: add_image_size( ‘portfolio-thumb’, 600, 250, true );
- but when i added a NEW image i wanted to be square it cut it to that new size i specified. so i now realise the only way to get it to work is to set my size in the functions.php and regenerate thumbs for each portfolio dimension i want…
- but i think this would be a great new feature to add: the ability to specify portfolio image dimensions, the same way you have it in the Image Grid Gallery module…

I have used the Page Builder to manually create a two column layout, with a “single image” on the left, and “text” on the right. This works ok but will not populate itself dynamicly.
It would be better if I could have it look this way for blog or portfolio listing so I could add tags, categories, and the posts would be searchable and paginated.
How could I create a custom template that displays my recent portfolio or blog listings the way I described above?

Unfortunately there’s no portfolio or blog style like that so the only way to achieve such a look would be to modify one of the current styles with custom css – it would be a fair amount of css though so using a child theme would probably be best suited

the dummy data files are still located in salient/nectar/redux-framework/extensions/wbc_importer if you desire to import them manually. This could be achieved by going to Tools > import in the options panel

We have the footer color set to red and also the accent color is the same red as well – this means that if we have a link in the footer when someone hovers over it, the hyperlinked text will fade to red which will then seep into the red background.
Would you be able to provide a CSS snippet to force the hyperlink color in the footer (only) to black when someone hovers over it?

My tickets have been open since March 3rd, and are both very basic, yet have not been resolved 
One of them is grey area of support so I would understand that, but the other is a basic issue with header transparency functionality. It’s possible it’s user error, but I’ve used the old version without issue … a resolution today would be very helpful.
