Hi guys, I would like to export saved Cornerstone layout and load onto another page, is it possible?
Hi There,
Open up the page you want to save as a template in Cornerstone, in the Cornerstone editor, on the layout part, click “Templates”.
Click “Save”, then enter a name for your template and choose to either download or save to library, if you choose to download the template, you’ll get a file you can then import on any other site. If you choose save to library, the template will then be available from the templates page to use anywhere else on your site.
Thanks!
Hi there,
I’m really interested in this theme, but as I want to use it as a photographer I need to know what kind of galleries are included: masonry? flow? horizontal? carousel?...? Can you post a link to demo-galleries?
Thx, Martin
Hey there,
Thanks for writing in! If you haven’t yet done so I would take some time to go through our features to see what all is included and if it is a good fit for you. Additionally, we include many Extensions (plugins) with your purchase of X, which you can use for additional features if needed. This includes “Essential Grid,” which you may find suits your needs for your projects.
Don’t hesitate to let us know if you need anything else!
I am having an issue with duplicate open graph tags. I am using Yoast SEO for the Social Open Graph but the X theme is putting in default tags that are overwriting my settings. Where can I find the og: tags in the header for this theme?
<meta property=”og:title” content=”Home”>
I’m interested to put a video like in the home of your demo content but i don`t know how to do it,.. do you have a guide or something similar? Thanks!
Sure thing! This video from our Knowledge Base walks through the process. If you need anything further, a member of our team would be happy to assist in our forum.
Cheers!
Would like to implement a FULL SCREEN video background, as I saw in the Integrity demo-1. My pre-purchase question:
1) Can I put a search box (or other input form) on top of the full-screen video background?
2) Can I put a tabbed content box on top of the full-screen video background?
3) Can I do BOTH of the above mentioned items at once?
Hey There,
Slider revolution lets you embed shortcodes and content on top of the slide, so something similar to this should be possible, the only thing that will be challenging is to embed the search form into that section as we do not have a shortcode for that. One solution would be to look for a plugin or embed a different form element there.
I had planned on disabling the sliders. (and most everything else that I wasn’t planning on using)
1) Is Slider Revolution the only method for creating a video background?
2) Was hoping that a full width container could have a video background?
Hey there,
Thanks for writing in. The full width sections have the ability to place background videos if desired. Hopefully this helps!
Hi, which font did you use for the logo in the expanded demo SPA?
Hi There,
Regretfully I’m not sure as we worked with a 3rd party.
Aaaawhh… That is too bad. I am looking for exactly this font for our brand design. Thank you anyway!
You’re welcome!
Hi! Very nice and complete theme! I would like to know if its possible to import demo content of your theme website ( http://theme.co/x/ ) ? Thanks!
Hi There,
Thanks for the kind words
We’re glad to know you’re enjoying your time with X!
With regards to your question, you have a couple options. 1) Our Integrity 1 Demo is a very similar layout to that particular page so you could use that demo (via our demo content importer). 2) The Ethos 3 Demo has virtually the same menu, so if you like that particular aspect, you could instead chose to install that one via our demo content importer.
If you need anything further, a member of our team would be happy to assist in our forum.
Cheers!
Excited to maybe purchase your X theme any moment here! A few pre-purchase q’s…
(1) For speed and efficiency, can I disable your extensions individually? (Typeset, essential grade, Envira, LayerSlider, etc)
(2) Can I disable the plugins individually? (Disqus, RevolutionSlider, Soliloquy, WhiteLabel etc)
(3) Is there anything else that I can disable, via your Admin menu, in order to make the theme lighter and faster?
Hi There,
All of our Extensions are separate plugins, so there is nothing you need to disable. On the contrary, you simply activate whichever plugins you need. X is a very performant theme out of the box, and you can read more on our process for that here.
Cheers!
Thank you. I have read your FAQ, very informative. (btw I am already on top of WP-optimized hosting, CDN, caching, and all of the rest of the performance stuff) And I do realize that X is already performant and secure.
However, I think you may have misunderstood my previous question. My desire is to further increase performance and security, by disabling all plugins that I am not using. (which will be most of them fyi)
1) Can Disqus, Revolution Slider, Soliquoquy, and WhiteLabel be disabled from the plugins menu?
2) Can Typeset, Essential grade, Envira, LayerSlider be disabled from the plugins menu?
Please let me now which of those plugins can and cannot be disabled from the plugins menu, thank you.
Mark
PS….............
You know the proverb, a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Likewise, a WP site is only as secure as it’s weakest plugin. Therefore, as you’re aware, the fewer plugins a WP site has, the more secure it is. Each plugin is its own separate PHP script, with it’s own vulnerabilities. And if a webmaster does not keep up with installing the latest versions (with security fixes) of all the plugins on their WP site, then their WP site is vulnerable. ....For example if a vulnerability is discovered in Revolution Slider, that plugin vendor may have a plugin update available in one day, however X may not be coming out with a theme update (including the updated Rev slider) for a month—therefore it is the webmaster’s responsibility to keep up with the vendor’s plugin updates. Right? So if i’m not going to be using any of the dozen plugins in X, I would rather not have the responsibility of forever watching for plugin updates and then installing them. I think you would agree. So back to my questions 1 and 2, would you kindly let me know which of those plugins can be deactivated from the WP Admin plugins menu, thank you.
Hi Mark,
I think you may be confused on what our Extensions are and how they work. They are separate plugins, not required to use and not automatically installed. You decide which ones you want to install, we simply make them available to customers as well as provide support and updates for them. The only thing that is required to run with X is Cornerstone.
Cheers!
Perfect!
Thank you!
You bet!
How do I develop the site on another domain that I will eventually move to the domain I registered the template for ? I can’t get Visual Composer to work on my development domain.
Hi There,
You can work out of a local installation or validated domain that you then revoke and re-apply to the production domain. This video and article cover the process for product validation. If you need anything further, a member of our team would be happy to take a look in our forum.
Cheers!
Hi.
Nice theme!
Do you have any examples from customers, preferably magazine style like this example? http://furthermore.equinox.com
I’m also wondering if it’s possible to create something similar to the example above with your theme?
For example something like this: Avada header number 5 with dropdown menus. The big video slider from one your Demo Law. Frontage with two rows. Small and big images next to each other.
I’m looking for a clean, simple and modern theme for a site about yoga and healthy food.
Thanks!
Hello there,
Thanks for writing in! Something like the example you’ve shown here would require a good amount of customization via a child theme to achieve, so you’d need to be comfortable working with templating, WordPress’ functionality, and CSS to achieve such a result. That being said, we strongly recommend all users take some time to run through our demos to see if there is one that suits your needs to help you get started.
Don’t hesitate to let us know if you need anything further!
Hi,
We are looking for a premium theme that we could return to for a number of upcoming sites for our clients. Could you please comment on the following specs when it comes to customizing X theme?
Custom post types We would like to create different custom post types based on your filterable portfolio functionality. These would have their own custom fields. Is X theme set up in a way that we could customize our templates using X theme templates as starting points ? …“archive” -template and “single” -template
Fullscreen video Is it possible to create sliders that include fullscreen videos, with X theme?
Is there an included “header option” for displaying page title and breadcrumb transparent over a fullwidth background image? …and is it possible to choose whether this background image should also be under a transparent menu?
Do you know of compatibility with the Ninja forms plugin?
Thanks!
Hey there,
Thanks for writing in! Our portfolio is based on a custom post type we define and work with, which you could certainly piggy back off of and implement anything you need via a child theme and WordPress’ hooks. Alternately, you could create your own custom post type if you need something highly specialized. While we cannot assist in customizations of this nature, as is the spirit of WordPress, you can customize things to your heart’s content as you need.
Regarding fullscreen video, indeed this is possible.
At this time this type of title/breadcrumb option is not available, but you could certainly customize things as needed as mentioned above.
Our policy related to 3rd party plugins is that unless they are integrated into the theme in some way (Revolution Slider, Gravity Forms, etc) then we are unable to provide support or guarantee compatibility for them. The implementation, customization, and troubleshooting of any issues that may arise would be the responsibility of each customer. Technically speaking, since X was developed according to development best practices, any well developed 3rd party plugin should play nicely with X, however due to the virtually limitless nature of things that can and often times do go wrong with software, we can’t support something that we have not first developed or integrated into the theme.
Cheers!
Hi there, I have the revolution slider that came with the X theme. Problem is that on the homepage slider only the first slide is loading in Safari (ipad/iphone/macbook). In chrome and Firefox it’s working just fine. Any idea how to fix this?
Tried clearing cache / updating rev slider / duplicating slider to load different named one
http://franklincovey.nl— This comment was placed in the Rev Silder section, but they referred me to you guys.. Could you take a look?
Hey there,
I’ve taken a look, and those images have some accented characters. By web standards, URLs can’t contain non ASCII characters, so Safari seems to be choking on that when it tries to retrieve the image. Chrome is often more forgiving. I’d recommend renaming the images.
Thank you so much.. So simple yet so annoying
.
You’re welcome
Love this theme – but a question: I want to use VC – will Cornerstone replace VC in the future? Is this no longer the right theme for me because VC won’t be a priority any more?
Hi Karen,
VC will continue to be supported and made available as an option for those customers who wish to use it.
Cheers!
I guess my real question is: will it be supported with equal enthusiasm – equal to Cornerstone? Many thanks for your speedy reply!
Cornerstone is much more used now within X than VC, so while new X Elements will not be mapped into VC (has been that way since Cornerstone was released), the vanilla VC plugin itself will continue to be updated.
Thanks so muc for your reply! Got it!
You’re welcome
HI, My client would like a website similar to http://www.weddingsbybespoke.co.uk/about/about-bespoke-events/ especially when to toggle menu appears and the menu drops in the middle of the page with background. I don’t want to commit before I buy it as it is an expensive theme.
Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out. A similar layout and navigation effect can be achieved in X. To present the logo as shown there would take a little custom work. I would advise checking out our < a href=”http://theme.co/x/demo/expanded/spa/”>expanded Spa demo. It’s somewhat like that site. You can also see all of our demos here. To get an idea of what is possible. Resizing the browser window can help preview how the mobile navigation behaves when it is visible instead of the full navigation.
I currently have Ethos installed on one of our sites and wondered if a person could show a different list is articles above the header based on a category. For example… I’d like to show pets articles when people are in that section… and health articles when they are in the health section. Currently i only see and option to show ‘recent posts’ or posts by id.
Hi, we’ve setup a website using this template and found out that the Post Grid from Visual Composer is not always showing. We’re using Visual Composer on other sites too and never had this issue. Is this a known bug or can you help us out finding the problem? Thanks, Florian
Hi Florian,
It’s not something we’re aware of as a bug, but we’d be happy to take a look at your site and see what’s going on. Could you open a new thread in our support center? One of our developers can check your site and advise a solution.

Question…I’m a web designer creating websites for clients. What are my options to use this theme? I’ve been reading the Q and A’s and it seems for every website I create I need to purchase a license? If I have 10 clients, would I need to purchase 10 licenses? Thanks
Hey There,
Yes, you need to own 1 license per website you’re using X on. So for 10 clients you would need 10 licenses.
