This theme wont let me use Advanced Custom Fields PRO instead of Advanced Custom Fields which comes with it.
This is preventing me from managing my custom fields. Please could you fix this? ACF PRO works properly as soon as I active a theme which is NOT Kalium.

Hi yes, i have tried disabling the ACF included with the theme. I wish to use ACF PRO because i have a developer license for it and I wish to use some of the features on this particular website. Without Kalium ACF pro works, with it it doesnt. The ‘fields’ tab doesnt show in the dashboard menu. When disabling kalium it appears.

In the latest release of Kalium we have included also inc/acf-fields-pro.php file which imports all custom fields.
If you want to be able to see Custom Fields manage page please replace this file:

It will allow you to manage custom fields:
However the existing custom fields that are exported for Kalium will not be listed there because they are exported as PHP code.

The 404 page, in WordPress, needs to be hardcoded in the source PHP file, you cannot create it like a regular page, from the “Edit Page” screen. So, you can open the file “404.php”, at the root of the theme folder, and apply your desired modifications to it.

So, you are experiencing this issue at the back-end, specifically at the theme options panel, right?
In that case, first, you need to make sure that you have both WP’s and the theme’s latest version installed, as well as the latest version of every plugin.
If the problem persists, you can try disabling all your plugins, in order to check if any of them is causing the issue.

I’m afraid that adding fields to the built-in form would require complex code modifications, so I’d recommend you to install a plugin like Contact Form 7, which will allow you to build flexible forms.

1) By default, the search element should not be included in the menu. Could you please provide us a link to your website, so we can check why it’s appearing there?
2) You can see all the available options for the menu in the section “Header and Menu” of the theme options panel. There are several fields there, which allow you to customize different aspects of the menu.

2) In which exact page do you want to modify this date element? Could you please show it to us in a screenshot, so we can give you the exact instructions that you need?
3) In this case, you need to create a hierarchy of categories, in the “Portfolio->Portfolio Categories” section of your dashboard. Then, in the section “Portfolio Settings->Portfolio Page” of the theme options panel, you can enable the field named “Enable subcategory filtering”.

Search issue – In order to change this text: “Search site…” you must install Loco Translate and then go to Theme translation Kalium, replace that word “Search site…” with your own and save settings.
Date issue – In order to set date in the header/menu you need to modify theme files, more exactly tpls/header-main.php and add this function:

Dropdown – This is something you may figure out, because it requires customization of theme files.

Hi Arlind, I tried to replace ‘Search site…’ with SEARCH using Loco Translate as recommended – but nothing changed. Also, we are using the child theme and I cant find the pls/header-main.php you are referring to. Can you advise? However, we did test the date thing in the parent theme, and it worked like a charm, thank you! We’d like to know though 1) how can we get ‘Tue’ to be ‘TUE’ instead, 2) how do we increase the margin before the date, and 3) how do we get it on level with the menu points? In order to translate strings with Loco Translate go to Loco Translate management page, choose Aurum theme and then search for that string Search... word.Header main template is contained inside aurum/ parent file aurum/tpls/ files. In that dropdown you will see “Aurum” theme.
1. If you want that in upper case simply wrap the code with strtoupper( date( 'date-format' ) ) and it will convert all characters to upper case.
2. That should be located with CSS path, it depends the date div you have inserted, just add a class to that div and then you can add margins/paddings/ and other stuff.
3. Simply make the date container div position relative, and then set top: 20px; or any value that will make that div stay in the same level with menu.

Sorry, I didn’t get the tips about ‘search’. I went to Loco Translate and chose the kalium theme, after which I changed ‘Search…’ to SEARCH. But nothing has changed.
About the header-main template. If we are using a kalium child theme, won’t these changes be overriden if there’s an update?

Can we have a regular header (navigation across top) instead of the mobile style hidden menu 3 bars? How is your support? How long does it usually take to get a response? Answers to support questions are usually provided in a 12 hours time lapse, from Monday to Friday, and up to two days in weekends. Small tweaks are something that we can provide.

I have a question about menu / navigation placement. I see there is built-in option for having the navigation on the left / right side of the page using the sidebar menu. I have made a bit of research before asking this, but I couldn’t find exactly what I wanted to know. So there I go:
I would like to apply typographical changes to the header-logo (I am not using image, just text). I managed to change the size but not the font. I am writing this code in the custom CSS:
.header-logo { font-size: 30px !important ; font-family: ‘Playfair Display’, sans-serif, !important ; }
but the typeface is still the one chosen from the theme options.
Also another small question, I removed the default favicon (after importing demo contents) but I still can see an icon I didn’t upload. Where could I fix this?
