Hey,
I’m using your theme for a clients website and am having some issues with iframes within blog posts. Looking at the code, the theme seems to inject some of its own code in around the iframe and adds padding.The padding means we have a large gap beneath the iframe.
Are there any quick CSS fixes I can make?

I am working now on my online portfolio, and I would like to display more than four columns in the main portfolio page in order to use the whole wide of computers with hi-res and wide screens like the iMac.

I’m afraid that the gallery is not prepared to hold more than 4 columns. However, I can provide you a code tweak that will increase the size of the images, so they fill the entire width of the screen.

Have a couple of questions:
1. Similar to @Bottillo_82, category filtering on my portfolio page is not working.
When I hit a category in the filter above the thumbnails, the url goes to /portfolio/#category-name but does not filter the layout. If I manually enter the url portfolio/?portfolio-caterogry=category-name, then that does work to filter the results.
2. How do we rename the theme so that people looking at our source code (ctrl U) won’t see ‘Kalium’ as the theme name?
You said before that this was in Theme Options, but I do not see this. How is it done?

1— What version of our theme are you using please? If you are using any version below the 1.8.8.1 please update your theme
The easiest way to update our themes is if you use Envato Toolkit. On this link How to update Themes and Plugins
you can learn this easy step-by-step procedure
Important: Please don’t forget to go to Appearance > Install Plugins to update all your premium plugins to the latest version that we support.

1. As for this, I need to view your site and see whats the issue, can you please give me your page URL which contains portfolio filter issue.
2. To remove “kalium” referencing, go to wp-content/themes/ folder and rename kalium folder to your desired name. Then open the style.css of Kalium child theme and change Template: kalium to the theme name you have defined.
There are also custom files enqueued in inc/laborator_actions.php so you may or may not change their names also followed by renaming file names in their respective directories. Doing this, will always require to repeat the same steps when you update the theme, so its up to you if you want to do this or not. We do not support customized version of Kalium theme (parent theme), but if you only switch the names, thats not a problem.

Hi,
I found out that the issue is related to the slug of the portfolio categories. For some reason, WordPress won’t work correctly if your slug uses only numbers, as they were doing: 2015, 2016, and so on.
So, I replaced the slugs of the categories with “fifteen” and “sixteen” instead, and now the filter is working fine.

HI! I am revisiting this comment page to see if I can get some suggestion or help on my site! Currently on my portfolio page, I am able to separate the content into two columns, but I’m using short codes. I’m wondering how I could achieve that without shortcodes and just by the portfolio type found at the bottom of the page? There is no other way to separate the content in the portfolio items if that type does not support that feature, you can use the Visual Composer type of portfolio and style it how you want, we will release some new portfolio items designed with Visual Composer.

Hi there,
I tried to change colour of the theme by using custom skin builder. But somehow it only shows me one of your presets (Gold). Is this is a bug in the theme Kalium, out am doing something wrong? I would think just selecting the colours I’d like to change and changing the hexadecimal values would do the trick, but it doesn’t.
Can you please help me with this, I could go check the .css of the theme. But I think that would be stupid, as you provide a (what should be) much easier option.

Firstly just make sure you have the latest version of the theme and then replace the laborator_filters.php file in wp-content/themes/kalium/inc and then try again.

I cannot see your site live as it is on maintenance mode but as you describe the issue seems familiar, have you tried changing the slug of the category “3D Printing” to something that starts with a letter and then check it again to see if it works.

First even if I refresh the page the category filtering does not work!
Second, refreshing the page every time is not a solution, it’s not possible buy a Kalium theme (for a simple showcase web site) and have a theme where the category filtering doesn’t work!

1— So you want to use Slider that you see on the Main Demo right? To do that just download our theme from themeforest and then extract it, navigate to Extras folder > Demo Content > Main Demo > and import revolutionslider.zip on the Revolution Slider.
2— Theme changes are mostly changed on database, and when theme updates those changes will loose, so child theme is the best choice if you want to edit core theme files of our themes.
3— Can you please write us your site URL here on comments first? We need to investigate your site and then get back to you if we have possible solution.

3. site is under mainteance mode, i ask if i use fullscreen images and they are lighter dann the white menu button you can see the button. make a shadow in this area doesn’t work but to much images generated after upload and image position is never the same. so i have the idea to switch the color of the menu if i use a fullscreen image.

3— You can change the menu color for specific pages by going to this option when you edit page (view large version)

The background image of the contact page is not really an image, it is a map showing the 3D view of the Google Maps, you can set a background color by using the Revolution Slider or by setting a background image via Visual Composer, take a look at this tutorial.

Make sure you’ve followed these steps and you should have the full-height images and not cropped:
Laborator > Theme Options > Blog Settings > Blog Page – tick the Use proportional thumbnail height
then switch to the Single Page tab and set the Featured image size to Original Image Size

Hello,
I am shut down by my host because of malware/hacking. No clue what happend. I have used always the most up to date version of Kalium and Wordpress. Besides that my side was not even “really” on line because I was still busy setting up, anyway there was already some work done and it would be pity if I lose it.
Is there a possibility to take the content I already made, of the ftp server and out of the database and install everything clean again?

It is strange how this happened to you! None of our customers has had this kind of problem. However there is still possibility to retrieve all the data, simply go to phpMyAdmin and export the database, and then download entire folder: wp-content/uploads/ folder, that all you need.
It would be great if you can ask your hosting provider which of the files is infected so I can see the possible issue.
Our theme does not handle the “security” part of WordPress, it only displays theme styles.

For the paragraph of “woocommerce .item-info p”, I’d like to see bulleted list icon and change color to default color instead red. You can check the available updates for plugins in the “Plugins” section of your dashboard. There, you will be able to see whenever a new update is available.

Hello, In the theme we have an alternative portfolio page (just showing one category) but if we are in a portfolio item, the 4 little squares button, refer to the portfolio page in the settings (/portfolio) while it needs to go to /portfolio-projects any idea how we can get this to go back to the page the portfolio items were? you can see it under the url http://dq-8.de/projekte/ i wrote some text in the classic editor and this text are under the headline and moves the filter to the right site. so i ask i i can use the vc editor for better controll of content width, padding, etc.
so the filter content is under the text of the headline (maybe in full width). if i actived the vc editor and add a row with a text section it moves over the headline. i make a other demo portfolio page so you can see want i mean: http://dq-8.de/projekte-test/
