There is no option via the visual composer and FTP the replacement image does now work.

You may change the image in Row settings > Ultimate Background (Deprecated) tab. We’d also recommend you to recreate this feature with the new settings (available in Ronneby 1.1.1) in Background options tab.

You may change the image in full width row in Row settings > Background options tab (Deprecated) > Auto moving image background. We’d recommend you to recreate this feature with the new settings (available in Ronneby 1.1.1) in Background tab.
As for the columns, you may change background images in the Design tab of the Column settings.

Basically yesterday we installed the theme, loaded a template and started making adjustments. It was slow and editing pages with VC sometimes hung. When I was then able to access the backend editor, I populated 60% of the home page, only for it to crash, and most of my changes disappear leaving a corrupted looking page. I can only access VC about 10% of the time, and most times it will either hang, or come up with an unresponsive script message.
So there are 2 main issues, one I can rarely access VC to make changes to pages, and secondly (this has happened twice now) when I have been able to access the backend editor, my changes have not been saved past a certain point (it was the same part of the page where this occurred.)
I need this looked into asap otherwise I will need to obtain a refund and find another theme.

You may enable the external link on the portfolio link in the latest theme update. There’s an option to add link to any external link to the portfolio thumbnail button.

This may sound stupid, but how do I update? And esp. without losing the design and content? Sorry, but I feel like a dork 
The content cannot be lost while theme update, as well as the theme options. However, in case you’ve done any theme files modifications, we’d recommend you to copy them to your computer for a backup. Moreover, you may rename the theme folder (via FTP client) and install the theme in Appearance > Themes > Add new > Upload > and select ronneby.zip archive from Themeforest.

There were lots of modifications, modules, and new features added, and you may check the demo for more information about the styles.

but is there any way to disable the portfolio page, archive page, post page? I mean by clicking on the Title in the Portfolio Module, the user should be sent in a new tab to the client´s page, and not sent to the portfolio page instead? I updated the theme, but it seems there is still no way to use the Titles as direct links. I use now the subtitles as Client´s name, and a direct link button, but it would look nicer if the Titles would work as links. The portfolio inner page and so on is not needed :-/

I woould like to insert a gallery in a portofolio item, but when I try it, no matter what I do, it only shows the main image, instead of the whole carrousel, as it happens when I preview the gallery alone. Could you please help me with this issue?

Please, add the images to the Images Gallery section of the portfolio work and not to the WYSIWYG editor. Also, select the Default gallery type in the portfolio item settings section. That has to help.

I’ve just moved my Wordpress site from my development server to a different live server however none of my theme options are now saving? I keep getting an error “There was a problem with your action. Please try again or reload the page.”. I’ve contacted the hosting provider and got them to update the php.ini as per this article but it’s made no difference – http://support.dfd.name/2015/07/20/ronneby-theme-options-saving-issue/
Do you know what else could be causing this? Plugins don’t seem to update either which I’m not sure is related?

Is it possible for me to add Custom Post Types and have the blog posts module display the recents posts of a custom type. I would like to add a post type named activities and on the home page show the recent activities the user entered. Or does this blog posts module only supports the standard ‘posts’ type/

You may display recent blog posts of a certain category in the Blog Posts module. There are also different post formats, like Standard, Gallery, Video, Audio, Quote post, and you may use any of them to present the needed content.
As for the custom post-types, there are posts, portfolio and gallery in the theme. You may check plugins that may help you to integrate more custom post-types into the theme and display them properly.

Please, access the theme files with FTP client and find the themes/ronneby/assets/css folder. Copy all the files on your computer, for a backup and delete them on the server (don’t delete the css folder, only the files inside). Then refresh site front page and the options have to be applied properly. All the files will recreate after you refresh the page.

Dear author,
I have found an incompatibility problem with Ronneby theme and WPML plugin. I have tried to use theme together twice and it is not possible for different reasons. In one of the websites it is impossible for me to access to WPML option “Theme and plugins localization”. In the other website when I try to install the plugin the web doesn’t run.

As far as we can see, there’s extra class name ‘dfd-hide-bigger-show-smaller’ added to the Text block modules, that hides it on smaller screens.
You may see the CSS code in the Custom CSS field in Main theme options that hides the content between 800 and 1280px screen width.
Please, delete the extra class name from the Text block an check the site, it has to display the the content properly.

i cant use VC AND the theme options together. If i deactivate the VC, the theme options are running fine. If i do use vc, the theme options are not working. I always get the error “Fatal error: Allowed memory size…etc etc” with different numbers at the end (3401, 2898…etc etc) Our server ram should be 256 MB… (like a plugin told me) So, i think server ram is okay. What else can i do? Please assist.
