I installed version 4.4.1 a while back and see there is a new download. Having read the changelog I dont see a number advanced from this and yet it appears there is a new download on April 7th. Can someone please advise

4.4.1 is currently the latest version of X, so you’re in good shape. From time to time there may be non-theme files that need to be updated in our packaged zip file at ThemeForest that have no direct effect on the theme itself. If there is ever a theme update it will be reflected on our Changelog.

Okey dokey. Just checked and my Cornerstone plugin for the 4.4.1 I installed was version 1.2.2. If I update the theme to latest one will that include 1.2.3 as shown in changelog
You’re already on the latest one for X, so you can go to your WordPress dashboard > Updates and click “Check Again” if the Cornerstone 1.2.3 update is not showing and it should then show.

All of our stacks can support this nicely. The best way to do this would be by creating a slider (using Revolution Slider or LayerSlider, both included for free with X) and assigning it above or below your masthead from the page meta options. There are several links to our support forums on our listing here at ThemeForest as well as a tab that at the very top that says “Support.”
There was a small bug that has since been addressed in version 1.2.3 of Cornerstone that was happening if you deactivated X but left Cornerstone active. Please make sure you’ve updated to the latest version, and then if you need anything further, a member of our development team would be happy to assist in our forum.

Hi, I have some pre-sale questions. I don’t know exactly how the features of one stack can be matched with the ones of the other stacks. Thanks for reaching out. Anything you see in our demos is easily reproducible. For an example of a parallax homepage, take a look at Ethos 3. You could use the included portfolio items to create a page featuring your videos with thumbnails. Clicking them would take you to a new page where the video could be played. Or, you could just have them play right there on the index page. For an example, check out the icon portfolio page. Our portfolio allows many types of items, but you could do them all as videos if you like.

Our demos on the sales page give you a good idea on the functionality and layouts we provide out of the box, you should be able to recreate something very similar but to replicate an exact copy of the site you’ve mentioned some custom coding will be required with is outside the scope of support we can provide. While at this time we do not have something specifically like this in place, we are currently beginning our development on a complete rewrite to how our headers and navigation work within the theme, and this is certainly a feature we have planned to integrate, so stay tuned for that! As this is a complete overhaul from the ground up, it will take some time for this to be released, but you can rest assured this is something we are definitely planning on looking into adding. Hopefully this helps.

Can you achieve a header like so http://postimg.org/image/87lze1rbr/ with X? None of your demos had that. Strange for a multi-purpose! Or could you recommend a few plugins that can do it?

This would be possible to achieve with some modifications, by default there is only one menu in the header, but you could modify the header template file in a child theme to register and call a secondary menu.

I think your theme is good, but to complicated for my little brain and support is not good so I’ll go back to Total. I can’t say I didn’t learn anything though. Have a good one.

Does this theme allow for real time bookings for multiple vacation property rentals thru calendar function and payment processing? Minimum stay requirements, special deals, promotions, grouping of properties by features such as swimming pools, pet friendly? Thx, Andy.

Thanks for writing in! All of the functionality you’re referencing is something you would need to find a plugin to help you do this as this is not “theme territory.” The management of listings and bookings with calendars is not something WordPress does out of the box, so you’d need a third party plugin to assist with this. X styles content from WordPress and provides you with an assortment of settings and functionality to customize this styling to your liking, but for something of this nature you’ll need to look for a plugin that fits your needs and you may need to implement some custom development depending on how extensive things are. Hopefully this helps.

I see no place in the customizer to add a header. I posted a help question in support but I got no response.

You also don’t “add a header” in the Customizer. You simply select the layout configuration as explained in the Customizer > Header article on our Knowledge Base.

Hi, a client of mine got her website made with X by another design company and now wants me to fix some problems. She deleted the blog page, I restored it, but now posts don’t show on page, only in the sidebar. Sure, we can offer some advice here. Because this is our home page, we don’t offer the demo content for it directly, but it’s easy to reproduce. First, import the Ethos 3 demo content. This will give your site global styling similar to ours. Next, edit your home page in Cornerstone and add the “Sales Page” template. This will replace your home page content with a template that was based on our X home page and contains many similar sections.

You could start with the Ethos 3 demo content. It was setup to offer a style similar to that of our X home page, and features the fixed navigation. To add that effect to an existing site, go to “Header” in Customizer and choose a “Fixed Top” navigation.
Hi , i did same as your way , but the top menu stocked top of the page , i want top menu on landing page show on bottom of page same as X theme then when scrolling down menu going up and stick to top of the page .

This is just a visual effect that gets achieved by adding a full page slider on top of the page and adding a offset bottom to the slider so the navigation gets displayed on the initial page load. Once you scroll down the navigation will stick on top. Hope that helps!

Our theme is fully responsive and mobile ready. Google PageSpeed is testing against a certain criteria of things and creating a score out of this which is not related to a theme’s functionality. By adding caching or other criteria you increase your score and therefore Google will let you pass their own set guidelines. As outlined before this has nothing to do with the functionality of a theme, it’s a website optimisation service that gives you insight on what you can improve on your individual site.

Hi, I have some pre-sales questions:
1)I have to build two websites (they are two separates websites but on different domains), one in italian and one in english. If I set “Italian” on the .it website and “English” on the .com website (from Wordpress, General/Settings/Language), can I create my menu items on the italian website using italian names (like “Negozio” instead of “Shop”) or must I use standard names? 2)If I set in Wordpress the .it language, will be Woocommerce fully translated in italian? I mean instead of “Add to cart” there is “Aggiungi al carrello” or the checkout page or the login page? Also are these translation handled from woocommerce or do I have to translate them? 3)Can I set the background colour of the woocommerce shop, product and all associated page (like my account, checkou, etc.) to another colour different than the standard white (for example black)? If yes, can I use other colours easily or do I have to use css, etc. (I am not a coder, so I am just searching something for newbies)? Can I change the font colour too in the shop page etc. (for example black backgrounds and white or gold text)? 4)If I have the same websites with more domains (.it and .com like in my case), do I have to purchase an additional license? 5)how does your woocommerce theme work? I activate xtheme and with xtheme comes a predefinied woocommerce layout?

Thanks for writing in! I’ll work through your items one by one:
- X is translation ready, but translations must be setup by each user as they wish, so running the theme, WooCommerce, et cetera must be setup with your own translation files to update the text strings as needed.
- Similar to #1, WooCommerce is translation ready but must be setup by each user.
- For what it sounds like you’re trying to change here you may need to implement some custom CSS for this (the content area) at this time via a child theme.
- A standard license must be purchased for each domain you plan to use the theme on as these are ThemeForest’s licensing terms, so since you have a .it and .com website address, you would need two licenses.
- We provide styling for the standard WooCommerce layouts and templates, so you can download WooCommerce and activate it and set it up how you like and X will work to style the shop, product pages, et cetera.

1) you said that X is translation ready. this means the backend can be translated in another language, right? the language on the frontend will be the same language that I set in the backend (for example I set italian in the backend, create menu elements in italian (like negozio instead of shop) and in the frontend in the shop woocommerce recognizes, I set as language in wordpress italian and use then the italian strings automatically. Is that right? If I create other users with limited previleges (like they can only create articles), can they set the backend language to another one different than italian?
2) with child theme you mean another theme or a theme I need to create manually? I know how to create a child theme in wordpress (with the two files style.css and functions.php), but I want to be sure!
3) with your standard templates for woocommerce can I change the colours of background etc via builder or backend withouth using css or do I have always to use css? for example integrity here (http://theme.co/x/demo/shop/integrity/) has a nice shop. I would like to have the same layout (or symilar) but with different colours. Is it possible to change these colours and font types easily? Sadly I have no background in css

Hey There,
1. Back end and Fronend are two separate things. In the Frontend you will need to translate all the strings on your own, we provide the translation file which you then can use the translate the theme to your needs. The backend / WordPress ships different languages of their software so they are pre-translated.
2. Yes, a child theme is a theme that borrows the styles and files from the parent theme.
3. You can change the colors of the page in our Customizer. There might be some elements that you need to target with CSS but that’s something our support staff can help you.
