I somehow have sets of two of everything… (e.g. two home links, two page links, two portfolio links in my mega menu)

Reset mega menu, but still getting pages that are not working correctly (example of what shows up on a loaded page):

There is probably a simple solution to fix this.

Hey, you need to install and activate the Salient Visual Composer plugin. You can do this in appearance > install plugins in your admin panel

Hey – this is occurring because the gallery you’re using is not a theme element but rather from a plugin. It could be fixed, but it would require javascript modding to the init.js file located in the js folder – find this line in the file:

$tabbedClickCount++;

and add this in directly after:

$(window).trigger('resize');

Thank you – that does help the wordpress galleries work within tabs but it still doesn’t fix the issue with blog items which are a part of the theme. I setup a quick example of the issue here:

If you’re upgrading from Salient VC 4.9.2, you’ll need to delete the plugin from your plugins section in the WordPress admin panel before installing the current version (4.11.2) in Appearance > Install Plugins – This is necessary due to a bug in the Salient VC 4.9.2 which prevents regular updating.

You can update by either downloading the theme again from here and uploading it to your WordPress setup via FTP or you could use the Envato Toolkit plugin to update from the WordPress admin dashboard http://code.tutsplus.com/tutorials/toolbox-of-the-smart-wordpress-developer-the-envato-wordpress-toolkit--cms-23883

Also, don’t forget once you’ve updated Salient you’ll need to head to the plugins section of your admin panel to update the Visual Composer plugin as well to ensure WP 4.5 compatibility.

Hey – have you tried to reupload your logo in all areas of the header > navigation tab? (Including the transparency tab)

The only version of Salient that is compatible with the latest WP is Salient 7.0.8, and the only version of Salient Visual Composer that is compatible with WP 4.5 is 4.11.2. If you’re using older versions of these and have updated to WP 4.5, your visual composer will not work. Once you’ve updated Salient, head to the plugins section of your admin panel to update Visual Composer

Hey – there’s two places to make that change in the init.js, one for the page load and one for scrolling when clicking. Try making it in the other section as well

Hey – the menu items are generated in the WP function wp_nav_menu in the header.php so you could just delete that and hardcode the menu items in if desired

Hey, as of now this would require some custom development unfortunately. You can link the thumbnail to a video, but the thumbnail itself can’t be set as a video
