You are using an old version of our theme (1.8.7.1) and the latest version for the moment is (1.8.9), please update theme first and then the premium plugins.

Very Important: After you update the theme please don’t forget to go to Appearance > Install Plugins to update all your premium plugins to the latest version that we support.

1. How could I downsize the font of portfolio categories (filtering) a little bit? (in my website as above, that includes ‘All’ and four other categories)

P.S: I saw that you haven’t updated our premium plugins, always after you update the theme please don’t forget to go to Appearance > Install Plugins to update all your premium plugins to the latest version that we support.

Note: If you can’t update LayerSlider, go to Plugins > Installed Plugins and delete LayerSlider plugin then install it from Install Plugins page again. Your current sliders will not be deleted.

I choose ’’Noto Sans’’ as primary font from Theme Options/Typography, which should support Chinese well, but on my friends PC the font looks weird….. How can I set ‘Microsoft JhengHei’ as second priority for primary font, and ‘Adobe Heiti Std’ for heading font? I tried some CSS code, but it seems not working…

1. Make sure that you have not enabled the title and description in the page options because this way it will replace the settings from the Theme Options.

2. This is possible by editing the theme files in Appearance > Editor and edit the logo.php file and change the destination of the URL.

Hi Yill, I have managed to update. Some questions: 1. I am struggling to get the product image on the front page in good order. The images are too small for my description, price and cart to be properly featured. Please advice how I can size the images to get them consistent. 2. Hi, please have a look at my site. 1. How do I create the kalium demo structure for the Top Rated, Best Sellers, New Items? Currently, I added a Woocommerce item, and it can only allow column choices like how items per row, but not the 3 row per column option on your site. I am also not able to change the setting of that section to have the prices, product name at the side. Currently, it has the full background setting. 2. How do I create a background for the product items on main page similar to your demo site. 3. I need to change the colour when mouse point to my product with the pricing. I prefer it to be just sllghtly transparent similar to your demo site again.

1. To create those widgets, you need to add more sidebars, so install Custom Sidebars plugin. Then create sidebars:

Then in homepage, call these widgets with “Widgetised sidebar” via visual composer (3 different widgets in each column), and you are done.

2. I am not sure how do you mean background for products in main page. They basically have only images, the images are processed with photoshop in order to center them within standard size.

3. To have hidden product prices, then show them when hovering apply go to Theme Options > Shop Settings:

Hi, Thanks for the reply, but i think you missed my question. I already have the widgetized sidebar enabled. But it looks different from your demo site. Please take a look again. I am unable to replicate the structure in your demo site, and that is the help I am asking for. You need to put your mouse over the product image to also know what I meant by the prices/description in the sidebar is not the same as your kalium shop demo site. I like the way I have setup the product list just below my fullwidth slider. Except that when I hover above the product image, i get the gold overlay with my product description and price. Your shop demo light greyish overlay is what I prefer. But there is no option to change it. What I meant by background is there is a grey box where the products are featured. Is that the entire image, or is that a setting I can achieve with my products which are of void of any background. Thanks for helping.

Thanks for the reply. 1. Yes, you made the gold background go away and did make it transparent, but I prefer 80% transparency not complete transparent, much like your demo site. 2. And I also need the wordings when in semi transparent mode to be black or dark grey. 3. Next, I need the 3 boxes in each row to be centrally aligned, not aligned from the top, as it is now. However, you have yet to address the widgetized sidebar issue. 4. I would like to set up the sidebar exactly the same as your shop demo. Can you please give me all the specifics to arrive at that layout? I can then specify which categories to be featured, like latest, featured, sale etc. 5. For the top menu of the home page, where you see “home”, “products”, “shop”, i would like to control the font colour, and if possible be responsive to the back image, or if not, I would like to have a 80% transparent top menu background so that all background images can be used with the preset top menu font color. 6. I can’t seem to get the 3rd image on my categories to be the same size as the other 2. Can you advice?

2. It depends on the logo size, so the smaller logo size you set for a sticky menu the height will be smaller. Also the vertical padding of the menu can be set in this case in THeme Options > Header and Menu > Sticky Menu.

3. Currently I am not able to debug this, because I am working on sticky menu script and will add more features/control on sticky menu in the next update v1.9

4. If you want to change the color of the text on logo you can do this via Custom CSS, for example:

.header-logo {
    color: #fff !important;
    font-size: 25px !important;
}

Thanks Arlind. 1. Through my own research, I am able to set the height of the header. However, I am struggling with something quite irritating. I would like to see my site header to look similar to this site. http://danishdesignco.com.sg. It is has a full page background, with a slight transparent header. When I click into any of their category page like http://danishdesignco.com.sg/product-category/living/sofas/, the words “High quality sofas, designed to last” sit nicely, just below the header which stayed the same. If I choose Absolute for header setting to get full page, I need to set the header spacer to “0” to get the full page effect. If I do so, when i click on my category page such as http://5l-2f.com/product-category/abode/, the return result is so high up that it eats into the header area. I need to set my header spacing to 100 in order for that not to happen, but that will push my background image of my slider by 100px as well, resulting in a non-full page effect I was after. So please provide me with the custom css to solve this. Similar to http://danishdesignco.com.sg, I would like my header width to be offset on both side about an inch, instead of the current full stretch, with my logo moving towards the right with the offset as well. My current setting is as follows, with out my full background on slider. .header-absolute .main-header { background: rgba(255,255,255,0.9) !important; height: 100px !important; margin-bottom: 50px !important; padding: 20px !important; 2. Currently, for whatever reason, my sticky menu size cannot be compressed into a thinner header height when scrolling. It stayed the same as the original header height. NEW ITEMS: 7. Shopping cart icon became white, need to get it back to black. 8. When I load my page, the background image tend to have a latent effect of a smaller background area, before being stretched. What is the reason? And it has a dark grey background while loading the image instead of the white background that was set. How do I fix that? 9. On this website (http://originals.com.sg/), when I click on “product”, I get to have a range and a collection setup differently as 2 separate category groups namely “range” and “collection”, plus a “new in” section . How do I achieve that? I would like the dropdown menu to be similar as well, not necessary the same. 10. When I setup my categories, some of the sub-cat is not displayed according to my setup in the products/categories setup structure. Here (http://5l-2f.com/categories/) Wave Art is under Collections, and Shawl Series is also under Collections. But when you hover over the Product header menu, it shows, “Wood Art” as the same level as “Abode”, and “Shawl Series” is a level under. “Collections” is not in the 1st level as “abode” and “commune”. What I should see, is Abode, Commune, Collections, and Complements. Ideally, I want to achieve what I mentioned in Pt 9, because my store is organized in the same approach.

Hi Imran – just check any of the links on Chrome and then check them out on Safari or Firefox – it was pulling teal for the image overlays, etc., as well and I had to add a lot of extra CSS to fix it. But I don’t know what controls the underline color:

Ideally we’d find out why the colors set in the theme options are not taking effect in Firefox and Safari so we wouldn’t need a lot of extra CSS.

Hi Imran – it looks like on Chrome when I inspect the element there is an issue with the jQuery library – does this theme use the jQuery library compatible with WordPress 4.5

Also, on Firefox the Facebook and Twitter widgets in the menu sidebar thing don’t load.

I wish I could take away all of the CSS we had to add to fix that issue so you could see it for yourself. For example, in Firefox the hover state for the stylesheet listed as kalium.css says it should be turquoise and you’ll see above it I had to reset to red in the CSS listed as / – http://screencast.com/t/iovSNdHY – there are a ton of compatibility issues with regard to color in Safari and Firefox similar to this and I feel like my CSS is only fixing things in the short term.

I still can’t get Facebook and Twitter to load in the sidebar in Firefox.

Is it even possible on a responsive theme to code so that it is correct on every screen size? Maybe the yoast code shouldn’t be attached to the header but instead to the header of each individual site but I guess that means that I have to put the code into different templates, right?

Premium plugins don’t allow us to give customers our license number, so on each premium plugin such as Visual Composer, Revolution Slider and Layer Slider update we release a new update to our theme with the latest version of that plugin included, and customers don’t need to worry about that,

You never need to buy any premium plugins that comes with our theme
