Styled Scrollbar is a little broken. It’s not responsive, rather it loads the script if the window width is >=1000px. If loaded, resizing the browser <=1000px destroys fixed positioned elements by positioning them relative to the entire html element, rather than the window. It’s fine if you want to leave the Styled Scrollbar after a browser resize, but fixed elements need to work when a user resizes their browser window.

the styled scrollbar is not recommended anymore and mostly exists for legacy users, it was originally added to supplement smooth scrolling when browsers didn’t have that years ago but that functionality exists in Chrome/Firefox now and your site will perform noticeably better when not using the option

The only thing you have to do:
- Download a fresh new Salient copy - Head to your filezilla salient theme, delete that map - Install the new salient.zip theme through wordpress - Update the plugin

iam trying to load content via ajax (json encoded) in a html container my content output is filtered by apply_filters(‘the_content’, $content) as wordpress propose
but it only returns in plain text as if wordpress ignores filtering:

This isn’t directly related to Salient itself, have you tried to ask the plugin developer for the best way to parse the shortcodes when loaded that way?

Hmmm… but this is a modification version from you… and it works versions earlier. only worked salient with the new WordPress version is not correct – that’s why I need to patch and now it is no longer. If I support new buy – can you help?

For everyone who hasn’t seen the announcements,
In regards to WordPress 4.5
The only version of Salient that is compatible with the latest WP is Salient 7.0.8, and the only version of Salient Visual Composer that is compatible with WP 4.5 is 4.11.2. If you’re using older versions of these and have updated to WP 4.5, your visual composer will not work.
Once you’ve updated Salient, head to the plugins section of your admin panel to update Visual Composer. If you’re having issues after using both the current versions, check for third party plugin issues – WP 4.5 added a new version of jQuery and a lot of plugins broke because of it.
Since the new Wordpress 4.5, the Salient Visual Composter isn’t working anymore. It edit mode, it only shows a + and template button. The content below it with all the rows etcetera, disappeared.
Hey, you need to install the latest Salient and Salient VC in order to have WP 4.5 compatibility. If after doing so you still encounter issues kindly let me know

I can verify that no third party plugins are causing this issue as I have deactivated all except the VC plugin and replicated the same steps with our success.
I also tried submitting a ticket but my support has expired. As this issue seems to be a core problem and a typical feature that should work as part of theme I don’t believe I should need to pay to renew my support.

I’ve been looking for a fix to my issue and can’t seem to find one. Visual Composer is broken right now and needs an update (currently on 4.9.2). When I click on ‘update’ in the Install require updates section I get taken to a page which says this “To receive automatic updates license activation is required. Please visit Settings to activate your Visual Composer.” I’ll then click on the ‘settings’ hyperlink in the text and get taken to an error page which says this “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page” I’m the admin of my site so that confuses me a little bit.

Actually just fixed this by downloaded the Salient theme zip, opening it up and replacing the JS_Composer_Salient plugin on the server with the new one.

I am having a problem with the visual composer, it does not work anymore. I have updated the theme and wordpress. But I could not see the visual composer in the plugin’s when trying to reinstall it using the ZIp file js_composer_salient included into the update folders, I can install it but when activating it get the following error:

i have updated the parts, and seems to help. But why can you not update without loosing settings? had to redo some parts like widgets and contact forms and the header image was not showing and had to reupload as well.

I imported multiple demos by accidents, and I only want the top navigation of the ‘Agency’ demo. But for some reason, it still shows my name at the top and I want to completely remove this upper block of navigation.
I followed your tutorial and got the off-screen mega menu working, but there is a white block at the top of every page with my name in the left screen and I cannot figure out how to get rid of it! What can I do to fix this?
