Hello I am having difficulty adding projects to my website using your theme. Every time i select projects it rediverts to a demo of your theme page. I have turned on the tool under visual composer and still nothing. I want my website up and running by the end of the week but i don’t want my customer constantly being diverted to a theme forest demo page… Thankyou

I have edited demo projects and even made my own but when i click on the link that is in the footer to get to services or projects nothing that i have done shows up there. When i click on the links it takes me to a demo page like this http://demos.volovar.net/bluecollar.wp/demo/projects/ .
I am also struggling to get rid of the handman picture that is feature next to “25 years of experience and replace it with my own image. The image of the handyman has the code “image=” so i thought if i deleted ‘image’ and added my own media it would appear however it just remains blank.
I have also installed visual composer to add a gallery to the services when they are clicked on from the home page however it doesnt work, i cannot add any new elements.
Since you’ve imported the demo content, those menus contain demo links. You need to edit both menus (header and footer) to add there your own links.
“The image of the handyman has the code “image=”” – I don’t really understand what code do you mean. Just edit the image via Visual Composer.
BTW, make sure you are using latest version of the theme (1.3.5) with latest version of Visual Composer (4.11.2.1)
where can i edit the header and footer to add my own links?? Is there a way to uninstall the demo content?
Visual composer doesnt work on any of my pages. I have purchased it and activated it however i cannot edit the page via live composer. It takes me to the live page however there is no option to delete or insert a new photo.
All is up to date as well.

Sorry, but you are NOT using latest version of the theme. You current version is (1.1.2). The latest one is 1.3.5. You can download the latest version from Downloads under your ThemeForest profile.
Also, try to disable all 3rd party plugins except those required by the theme (LSVR Toolkit, Visual Composer, Redux) if it makes the Visual Composer working (but update the theme first).
i have downloaded the updated version of the theme however it will not let me add it as a new theme…
You need to remove the old version first. Activate any other theme, then you will see an option to remove Blue Collar.
okay so i have updated it and now it has erased everything on the homepage except the footer..
I was happy with the way the home page was and now its completely gone..
Nothing was erased, just make sure to check out Settings / Reading if the front page is set. Some settings may need to be re-set after updating the theme, but you won’t lose your content or theme options.
With all due respect, if you are new to WordPress, consider reading through the beginner tutorials.
if you looked at the URL before and look at the URL now you will see that it has gotten rid of what used to be there. There is no indication of settings that need to be updated. I have all the same coding and everything the same as before i updated it however nothing shows up as the same.
I have read through most of the beginner tutorials and there is nothing about reseting your setting after updating a theme. I wouldn’t have updated it if it was going to ruin what i had spent hours on previously thats all.

But why you want to do it without Visual Composer? Does it still not work for you? If so, are you 100% sure you are running 4.11.2.1 version of it? Older version WON’T work with WordPress 4.5. If you are not using the latest version, then just deactivate and remove your current version and then you will be prompted to install it again, which will installs its latest version bundled with the theme.
Since this theme was built around Visual Composer, you will have a really hard time working with it without VC.

this seems like an issue with your server. However, you can try to install plugins via FTP.
All bundled plugins can be found in Plugins folder in full theme package. Contact form 7 and other free plugins can be downloaded on official WP repository.
But you should definitely contact your host provider with this issue.

demo content is available of course. But is is just a classic .xml file with all the posts and pages plus separate file with theme options. No “One click demo import button” or anything like that, just old fashioned way.
You can actually check out documentation on how to import demo content to learn more about it.
Also, demo images are not included.

Hi,
this page is generated and can’t be customized in a way as regular pages can be. However, you can change this title under Theme Options / Services with Service List Page Subtitle field. You can also change many other aspects of this page under Theme Options / Services as well.
BTW this title was originally “We Are Specialists In These Areas” not “I Specialize In These Areas” so it seems you’ve already edited it in the past.
Ad “Did You Know” text: you can change that in Theme Options / Footer Settings with Footer CTA Title field and other Footer CTA fields. BUT you can also change this CTA separately per page. Just edit the page and scroll down to Page Settings / Footer.
Please browse through all sections in Theme Options to familiarize yourself with all the options this theme has to offer.

bundled premium plugins such as Visual Composer don’t come with separate license (that’s the same for all themes on ThemeForest). When new version of VC is released, I always follow with the new theme update which contains this latest version of VC. The older version of VC have some compatibility issues with WordPress 4.5, but it was already fixed in the latest version, so you need to:
1.) Update the BlueCollar to its latest version (1.3.5). Just download and install the installable file form your Downloads on ThemeForest
2.) After updating BlueCollar, deactivate and remove your current version of Visual Composer, then you will be prompted to install it again which will install its latest version bundled with the theme (4.11.2.1)

What will happen if I just purchase Visual Composer? I hired someone to install the theme because I had no clue how to do it. I’m worried about starting over from scratch.
If you purchase your own license for VC, then you will be able to update it by yourself in the future, without need to wait for a theme update with latest version of VC. Plus, you will gain access to Visual Composer support.
You won’t lose your changes or anything like that. You just register your license key under Visual Composer / Product License.
Hi, I built nailitroofing.com on an old domain I had. I then transfered (copied/migrated) the site using updraftplus to its current domain nailitroofing.com. I activated the visual composer license and its activated on the site. I go to pages and open the home page. I have all my content on the page, but when I look for the visual composer builder, its not there. How do I get the visual composer to show? Picture below. that’s weird, first, try to check if you have enabled VC for pages under Visual Composer / Settings, if yes then it is possible that this issue is related to the recent VC bug described here https://forums.envato.com/t/wordpress-v4-5-and-visual-composer-compatibility-update/44319

that’s not a watermark, those are placeholder images which were imported with demo content (since original demo images are not part of the theme).
You need to edit those services under Services. Image can be changed under Service Settings with Service Thumbnail option. Please read the documentation.

there was some issue in default.scss file, I’ve already updated it (hit CTRL + R to hard refresh it to make sure you are viewing updated version). Also, if Sassmeister throws another error, try to paste the code again.

some strings are part of LSVR Toolkit plugin, which can be translated in the same way as a theme itself (its .po file is located in wp-content/plugins/lsvr-toolkit-bluecollar/languages). Please try to find and translate any missing strings there.
