Hi, can we use the plugins elsewhere if we are no longer using the theme?

I’m not sure, most likely not as they come bundled with the theme and should be used with it. But you could check on that with Envato, maybe they’ll say it’s OK: https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/categories/200216004

After all the plugins from CodeCanyon are relatively inexpensive and you can always purchase your own license which will be best for automatic updates and support from the plugin authors.

Hi, I have few questions on this theme. Does it come with a child theme? Also, does the support include access to a website/forum where other users have posted questions in relation to this theme and that is searchable? Also I dont want a parallax theme, can this be switched off so that a user can scroll as normal?

If for any reason Im not happy with my purchase am I allowed to get my money back?

the answer to all your question is “yes”. Once you purchase the theme you’ll have access to the theme’s support forum – which contains over 20,000 support threads that we have already resolved and questions there are answered under a couple of hours usually. This really angers me. I go to sign in on the U-Design support page and contribute to the community and I get this message -

In other words you want me to pay another $41+ to communicate with you guys? No, not going to happen. Matter fact we are going to simply dump you and your theme and be done with it.

As you may already know, recently Envato has changed their item support policy regarding the support provided for themes sold on their marketplace as per this announcement.

Now, if you have purchased the theme prior to Sept. 1st, 2015, you will be granted “Grandfathered” support status, meaning you should be able to post questions in the forum as a regular member without having to pay for extended support. This is my initiative, I decided to grant this option for users who have purchased the theme prior to Sept 1st, 2015 because before that date there was no such support policy by Envato and I was always providing free support for users.

If you have purchased your theme AFTER Sept. 1st, 2015 and greater than 6 months of today’s date going back, then your support would have expired and you need to purchase extended in order to post questions in the forum. You will still have “View Only” status which means you can still access the wealth of information (over 20K questions answered) and the FAQs, etc. so you’re not left out in the cold, additionally if you have an emergency or you think you discovered a bug you can still contact me via email. You can send me an email through my Profile page.

I need help bad and fast guys. The update for wordpress 5.4.1 is breaking all my websites using this theme. These are just two demos but all my live websites have now broken. The homepage on these are suppose to be and set at full width but they are not as you can see.

it doesn’t look like you’ve updated your theme in a while, please check the theme’s changelog, especially when you decide to update WordPress, that’s to make sure the theme is also fully compatible with the WordPress latest, in recent updates I applied WP 4.5 compatibility fix,so most likely, seeing that you’ve not updated the theme recently, this is what’s affecting your site.

Hi, same question as EcoYork, I do not have acces to the Visual Composer tool anymore. In the abckoffice I am requested to buy the update whereas I thought it was included in the template. Thanks for getting back.

Yes it is included with the theme, once you update your U-Design theme to latest version which at time of this writing is 2.10.1 and then you will be able to update to VC’s latest release.

you would need to download the theme in order to get Visual Composer, there is no way to offer direct download link to the plugin as it needs to be bundled with the theme. If you have further question please post to the forum.

I is dating an error when updating the theme, “IMPORTANT MESSAGE (U-DESIGN THEME). Looks like you just updated the U-Design theme There Were some Changes and new features added to the theme’s” Font Settings “section. You are required to refresh the U-Design Settings page first and then a save it in order for the new Changes to take effect. Not doing so Might impact your site’s typography. Sorry for the inconvenience. “

And when saved as indicated in the message, I get this error “there was an error”

No, the stay on top is for desktop only, that’s because the menu is completely replaced with responsive/mobile menu on smaller devices’ screens.

The latest version of U-Design is not compatible with the latest version of Formcraft. If I can’t get a quick fix, I am going to have to purchase another solution. Can you help?

you mean the Formcraft is not compatible with the theme… :)
To be honest I’m not familiar with that plugin, never heard of it, if this is another form building plugin there are tons of really good ones out there, at least 20+ that I’ve run into, I’ve worked with some but not this particular one.

Hi, amazing theme, pre-sale question. Can i add text (titre, category, tag) under filterable portfolio items??

Oh, I see, well in that case you won’t see the actual category and post tags pulled under the portfolio item but you can add any text or description you want under each items, it’s free style text. I hope this makes sense.

your question is not very clear, do you mean can the Portfolio item thumbnail image be a link, or? The filter links otherwise are used for sorting so they are links already but automatically generated. Hi There, would post in u-design support but my envato account is not linked to the purchased theme so unable to. Our web designer is not responding to our emails regarding our requests for Envato username from theme purchase and secret theme forest API key which we require in order to update our theme. We have issue where visual composer not working and support notes say update theme first (unable to update visual composer plugin as is done through the theme updates). We can see there is an update available for our theme which also includes update for VC. Please can you advise how we go about resolving the issue of needing to do update when we don’t have the required details. thanks

It’s an unfortunate situation where you depend on someone and they are not responding. Once the theme is purchased, future updates are free with that account, so unfortunately the way ThemeForest.net is setup only the owner of that account can have access to the theme that was originally purchased.
Since you’re not in touch with the person that purchased the theme originally, it’s impossible to get updates for that license. In general, it’s best for the person that owns the website to have purchased their own license of the theme, that way they will be independent of anyone maintaining their website for future updates or access to support forum since the purchase code is required to register in the support forum.

my site got infected with this template that i bought from you. 1 and 1 tech support cancelled my account and told me that contact the theme developer. Any solution to this?

Hi,

Well, your site DID NOT get infected because the theme is infectious BUT because you most likely never updated it or kept your plugins up to date, which means you didn’t keep up with the security fixes along the way. As with any theme or plugin it needs to be kept up to date. This is especially true if you are using Revolution slider that ships with the theme, which has a security update a couple of years ago.
