Hi, my support ran out but this has to do with the Visual Composer. I updated my theme and the visual composer is glitchy – it shows the short codes in the blog previews…. not ideal! I have deactivated, reinstalled, cleared cache… didn’t work… I deleted it manually via FTP and reinstalled via FTP… again no luck… please, advise – I’d rather not have to buy support for something that really shouldn’t be an issue.

Make sure please you’re using latest Bridge 9.1.3 version, and that you updated Visual Composer to 4.11.2.1 that’s included in it as well!
If you see shortcodes in blog lists – Excerpt for blog list can’t read shortcodes and because of that we implemented Excerpt field for each blog single. You just need to go in your back-end Posts -> Each post -> And below text editor or visual composer, you can find Excerpt field, just add here what ever you want to display for that post on blog list.
If you don’t have this section, then just go to top right corner -> Screen Options -> And enable excerpt. http://screencast.com/t/CxGqaIkWG

In Appearance -> Widgets, you can see all the default widget areas. For Footer, you have Footer Columns 1 -4 , and footer bottom areas.
Additionally, for every page/post/portfolio , you can activate Content Bottom widget area, that will be shown above footer , and choose it to display one custom widget area you’ve previously created in Appearance -> Widgets http://screencast.com/t/O8eJukNnhY

Hey QODE, My blogs comments keep getting set to hidden every time the settings page is refreshed, thus the default(or third party) comments disappear. If I save other options in the blog settings they update correctly, just not the “Hide comments” option which I want set to [NO] to make the comments visible. Any idea how to fix this? Thanks.

You can email us at support@qodeinteractive.com if you want us to provide you files, but those are the same files uploaded to ThemeForest and they don’t have any virus or anything suspicious.

Hi, same problem here with Visual Composer. After updating wp and bridge VC does not work anymore. Support ended one month ago, so I can’t use ticksy anymore. Great 
Quode, could you fix this please as soon as possible and give us an new update package? I understand support has to end somewhere, but updates which keeps the theme working with new wp-versions should keep working for a longer period.

Latest Bridge 9.1.3 that includes VC 4.11.2.1 is stable and tested with WordPress 4.5 +
Please make sure you’ve updated both – theme and Visual Composer to the latest versions, and clear browser cache upon updates, it should work all fine.

Dear Bridge Team, after my Provider said i’ve to update to PHP 5.6, my visual composer plugin is no longer working in the classic mode. It only says “loading, please wait”. I’m using the latest version of bridge 9.1.3 and Wordpress 5.4.2. The Visual Composer Version is 4.2.3.

That is very old version of Visual Composer. Bridge 9.1.3 included Visual Composer 4.11.2.1
You can upgrade Visual Composer by performing following steps:
1. Please make sure main theme is activated while performing other steps
2. Go to Plugins page in your WordPress Dashboard, locate Visual Composer in the list, deactivate it and delete it
3. You will see message that required plugin is missing at the top of your WordPress Dashboard
4. Install the plugin and then activate it
And clear browser cache upon update.

Dear Qode, now i installed the latest version of Visual Composer. But i still have the problem that it is not working. I cannot edit any Site with the Visual Composer, because the VC is not displayed.

Just bought theme a day or two ago. VC drag and drop not working. I have uninstalled and reinstalled latest version of VC as per your directions (from other posts here) but still a no-go. I opened a ticket (more than 24 hours ago now – I know it can take some time to get through all the tickets but had planned on building the site all this weekend hence I’m posting here as well hoping you might see the issue here first). If you mean the front end view for Visual Composer, this has been intentionally disabled since some of the added custom shortcodes require page reload because of script calculations, and due to this do not appear on the page while building with the Frontend view. The Frontend view can be used, however while building your page some elements might not display properly until you refresh the page.
Our support will write you the instructions now on your ticket on how to enable it.

Hello! I love the theme but trying to work out some glitches, I contacted support yesterday and waiting to hear back and need help asap. I am using the “Branding41” Demo and trying to link anchors on the home page. When one of the buttons are clicked it goes to that section of the page however, all the sections above and the sticky menu goes away. It then adds the pages that disappeared above to the bottom of the website as white blank pages and I can only scroll down.

Hi, Absolutely love the theme. I’m using “Avenue”. Like many others the transition and animation between pages doesn’t work and I want it to.
I searched the comments and do not see a resolution. (I don’t want to use the Page & Transitions plugin; I want to use the Bridge out of box animation).

The Avenue demo uses anchors to achieve this scroll to section functionalities. And Ajax page transitions should work properly on this demo.

i have 12 slides in a homepage carousel at edwingouldfoundation.org. i added an order to the newest slides (1-4) but nothing changed. do i have to add an order to every slide for this to function? thanks.

When you add Qode Carousel element via Visual Composer on some page, you can choose the Order By option, and Order.
Carousel items can be organized by menu order, title, or date, and You can also choose between ascending or descending order.
So specify your desired order – if you choose menu order, you can then manually set order number for each of your items, from 1-12 if you have 12 of them, to define order of appearing.

I update to a the new version of wp and now my logo is gone from the site(customers can’t see it). It’s still present in the media file and able to see it on the back end.

Hello I am having a major problem with Visual Composer since the update. When I go to edit a page or post the Visual Composer area is gone. I have done all I know to do.
I watched your video on updating the theme plugins and did the following.
1. I deactivated and deleted the old version
2. I installed the new version using the method in the video
3. I emptied my server cache and browser cache
4. tried disabling all non-template plugins and it didn’t help so I reactivated them.
5. restarted my computer – didn’t help
I really need this fixed asap. I appreciate your help.

We have informed our support about this, your ticket will be processed now. Please make sure you’ve allowed them WP admin access in your ticket.
And note: in order to be able to update Visual Composer to the latest version, you first need to have your theme updated to latest version (Bridge 9.1.3 in this case) , since that’s where the updated plugin is included.

Ok so after several different tries I got it to finally work. I disabled all plugins and reactivated them one by one and the biggest culprit ended up being the “Templatera” plugin ( it cannot stay activated now) which is weird. I really think it is a bug. Wether it’s Wordpress or the template I don’t know but once you activate the wrong one VC disappears. But you can’t just deactivate the plugin… you have to start all over by deactivating all plugins that aren’t necessary for the template and start reactivating again. I noticed that the following plugins had “bug like issues”as well… I hope this helps others with this issue.
