I am Check Your Theme .it Good Design But Problem in Size Reduce in Pc My Pc Display Setting is 1152×864 Please Fix This Link (http://imgur.com/aWnaFnt)

Hi

This is how theme is designed, when you take a look at resolutions being used today and modern day magazines you will see the same like in our theme. We will try to improve this part of template in near future but for now this is how theme works – usually when you are having magazine you have a lot of menu items and that you cannot fit all menu items into 1024px wide screen ;)

Hope that this helps

Cheers

Very very very nice theme. I’m buying now!! Excelente Job. Congratulations!!

Thank you! Enjoy :)

If you have any questions, we are at your service :)

Thank you my friend :)

I am trying to buy the theme. Will you support with 1) Facebook instant article. Should we go ahead and buy it now if this is going to be supported out of the box https://media.fb.com/2016/03/07/instant-articles-wordpress-plugin/

Hi,

Yes, Facebook instant articles is a plugin feature and should work out of the box with any theme :)

Hi, Great looking theme. On this theme, where would you put an email sign up form and can you use your own html email sign up form?

Hi

You can put email signup form via plugin(widget) and then you can place it in sidebar or in content via HTML/text module. You can also place code manually in content(HTML/text module) or text widget.

Hope that this helps, let me know if you have more questions

Cheers

Thanks

Hello and Great and nice theme. Please clarify my doubt : 1) can we have Trending section in the header where article short preview will be displayed by animations, just like in some sites, there is a Trending. you can see an example here : http://businessdayghana.com You can see above the slider there is a TRENDING NOW which display latest articles or any category we want to display the articles excerpt. 2) Does the theme integrate with MailChimp ? 3) Is it possible to add a Time next to the Date at the top right of the website ? and have the date in Long Format like Wednesday June 1, 2016 ? 4) Can we customise the layout to make it close to this : http://emploisite.com/test.png

Again thank you for the theme.

Hi and thanks for your words!

1. At the moment, it is only possible to have six posts with circle images as you can see on our demo website.

2. Integration with mail chimp is a plugin feature, you can use this one for example, it will work great with our theme: https://wordpress.org/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/

3. Basically, yes. Our date displays your date/time format specified in WordPress general settings so you can change it as you wish.

4. It is possible but it will require some additional work to achieve that. Once you purchase the theme, we have a team specialized in theme customizations so you can hire us for any additional modifications.

Feel free to ask if you have any further questions :)

Best regards

Hi guys. I’ve noticed that Entry Views plugin has not tested on recent Wordpress version. I found another free plugin that is updqted, it’s called Post View Counter. Could you fix the older plugin with this? (Or could we do it by oursleves?) Thx

Hi,

You do not have to worry. It is just not clearly stated by the plugin author himself, which doesn’t mean it is not tested.

We have tested it and it works just fine :)

Presales questions based on URL: http://demo.mekshq.com/herald/?p=127

1. On single posts, the [H2] tag is used in the “You may also like” section, footer links, and “Featured” widget. How easy is it to change the tag to [H3] or [H4] without changing how these sections look?

2. Is a child theme included?

3. Can the little author sidebar (left of the content) be removed?

4. Is HTML allowed in the author bio?

5. Can I easily add java script to the <head> section, such as the Facebook API java script?

6. Are breadcrumb links included in single posts?

7. Does the theme support background image links?

8. Is the category description field displayed on category pages?

9. Is there an option to make social media profile links “no follow”?

Hi,

Thanks for your interest!

1. Very easily, all H elements have their classes, so you can have something like this, so actually have one H element styled as different H element.
<h3 class="h2" />
<h4 class="h2">
</h4>

2. Yes!

3. Yes, very easily via theme options.

4. I guess this is a default WordPress behavior.

5. Yes, there is a field in theme options to add some javascript. Or, you can use a child theme.

6. Yes, but breadcrumbs are not built-in, we provide support for breadcrumbs from SEO by Yoast plugin.

7. Not at the moment, but I guess there’s a lot of free plugins to use in this purpose?

8. Yes, if description is provided, it will be displayed.

9. Yes, via link relationship (XFN) attribute which is available in WordPress by default.

Hope this helps, if you have any further questions juts let me know :)

Cheers!

I only want to say “thank you”. Look at this score of my website Il Flusso Magico

Hi

I have tested your site on pingdoom tools and it appears that mailchimp.js ( mc-validate.js ) is causing big load time because it has slow response. Can you please tell us how subscription box is added, via plugin or manually? I would recommend you to optimize that big header image with https://kraken.io I think that it will help.

Hope that this tips will help

Cheers

Hi, yeah Mailchimp gives me problems. It’s embedded via plugin, but I think I could use only script. Big header was only an experiment. Thanx!

You are welcome :)

Hello,

How to ‘combine’ multiple modules? Like you have done in your demo (http://demo.mekshq.com/?theme=herald) where ‘Media of the Day’ is added along side ‘Breaking News’. I tried to do this but couldn’t achieve it. Please see (www.pakistaonsunday.com)

Thank You

Hi

“Media of the day” is post widget and it is added when you go to Widget area and add “Herald Posts” widget.

Please let me know if you have more questions

Cheers

Okay. But in theme documentation its mentioned that we can ‘combine’ multiple module. That’s the only way to do that? (I mean by adding widget)

Hi,

No, widgets are used in sidebars only. To combine modules, you need to use modules page template and just create some post modules. Inside each module, you can choose main layout + starter layout. Please check this part of documentation: http://mekshq.com/docs/herald-home-page-modules/

If you need any further help, please open a support ticket via http://mekshq.com/contact and we would be glad to explain further.

Best regards

Hi,

How to translate this in the theme: ‘1 week ago’

Hope that this helps

PRE SALES Question:

Hi there, is this theme compatible with php7, nginx and fastcgi?

Yes :)

This is a WordPress theme, so if WordPress is compatible then the theme is compatible as well.

Feel free to ask if you have any further questions.

Cheers!

one of the best themes for wordpress self hosted sites..

Thank you ebuzz

Hi!

You had me at “More than 500 post layout combinations”! Here is the question: I have a customer that wants to decide per block or per post if there should be a thumbnail or not and which size. Is this my theme?

Hi,

Regarding post by post, you can have all separate options in the single post view.

For home/archive pages, you just choose posts listing layout, as well as many filtering options (per category, tag, post format etc…). But, display options will be inherited. For example, you manage Layout E in theme options, and then whenever you choose posts to be displayed in Layout E in modules, they will inherit global display options set for Layout E.

Hope this makes it more clear!

Interesting… I am still not sure if this is what I want but it is by far the best/most complete newspaper theme I have ever seen and I am willing to try it. Now I just have to sell it! :) Many thanks! :)

You are welcome! Thanks for your words :)

Hello Meks,

i think, after a long decision, Herald is what I am looking for.

But my problem with Herald are just two little facts.

1. Herald can not handle custom posts. This would be an awesome feature and would even more awesome, if filter via taxonimie/meta would work.

2. Herald has no layout with more than 4 columns. For fullwidth layouts, 5 or 6 columns would really make sense. Would you integrate two more post blocks for this?

Hi,

Many thanks for your feedback, it is highly appreciated.

1. The only option for now is to use manual field in modules, that way you can use custom post types. The automatic way is a bit technically limited but it is already addressed to our developers and we will see what can we do in the next updates.

2. Actually, there is 6 column layouts. Please check layout K and Layout L. http://demo.mekshq.com/herald/?page_id=1093 http://demo.mekshq.com/herald/?page_id=1095

Feel free to ask if you have any further questions.

Cheers!

Hello,

thanks for getting back to me

1. hope this updates comes. A CMS is a lot of more organized when you can use custom post types for those loop modules. and I think, to choose fields to show would be also fine (example layout I: Would be awesome not to show the category but for example a custom taxonomie for my post type… and more than just one taxonomie.. or taxonomie and field… You need just to read the registred post types and use fields and taxonomies they have.

2. Yes, I know and I like them.

But for Layout I for example, this would be awesome. Just the image, but 6 in a row.

I would instantly buy Herald if this comes.

Hi,

For Layout K (6 columns) there is a simple option to hide the title, so yes, you can have only images in 6 columns :)

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

Cheers!

Dear Meks, many users are noticing that the breakpoints are far too early on this theme. It is a real shame and hopefully will be fixed on next update as it is the only negative on what is an amazing theme.

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback.

As we already said in several conversations, if the breakpoints trigger later, many of the post layouts will not look good and entire design will be ruined on resolutions like 600px wide.

The only thing that make sense to improve is the header area. We are working to provide more flexibility there so you will probably have an option to choose the resolution which will trigger responsive header.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Cheers

Hi, after using Herald I’ve noticed that on an 8” tablet, vertical version (800×1280), of the website content (post/pages/etc.) is too narrow for the avalible space (half used). Could you fix that? Thanx

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback. The problem is that some of the post layouts won’t look good on 800px screen, that’s why we have decided to break it to mobile version earlier as it is much more safe.

What are the layouts you are using? Basically, there is a way to change css files but it will require some significant modifications.

Theme goes to mobile version at the display 1250 px, I want it to go to mobile version at 1024 px and less. What do you suggest?

Hi,

Unfortunately, it will require a lot of customization in the theme code to change that. Also, most of the layouts won’t look good if you just re-size the content.

Can you please explain what is the main problem for you?

Cheers
