Is there an update coming to make google maps work again?

The next updates for all our themes will include some solution for users to be able to enter their google maps API keys.
For the moment, here’s what you should do:
1. you need to generate your API key online.

2. After you have generated your API key, find this file wp-content/themes/onyx/functions.php file and there add your generated API key at the end of the line of code that is calling the google map API. So, that line of code currently looks like this: http://screencast.com/t/I1dSszisz
And when you attach your API key to it, it should look like this: http://screencast.com/t/ookCxxgXO
So, basically it will look like this after you implement it:

this error refers that your server’s php version is low. Please check it with your server, and ask them to increase your php version to 5.4.x or higher.
Note that WordPress is now officially recommending 5.6 or greater https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/

hi there was a major crash and after installing your new version it somehow fixed BUT in the Chinese version the slider arrows are not showing right and instead of arrow they show as $ and # i cannot attach the snapshot here and your support site is not working either. please visit http://www.arciscap.com/zh-hans/ to see the arrows for the home slider. can you please fix it?

The issue is not related to the font you’re using, it’s actually the support for icon fonts. You just need to add that small snippet from the article into your .htaccess file , and it should be all fine then. You can even ask your hosting provider to do it for you.

Understand. Like we have explained, “cross origin” problem is server related issue. It’s a very common problem, and server should be able to resolve it for you if you don’t want to edit .htaccess file your self.

We advise using at least php 5.3.x or higher, because the latest version of WordPress and all themes require that version because of security vulnerability and php functions we used in our theme. Also note that WordPress is now officially recommending php 5.6 or greater https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/

For some reason, my site is not pulling up my logo. I’ve tried the following:
- Updated to Wordpress 4.5.3
- Updated to Onyx 1.7
- Deactivated/Deleted & Reinstalled Visual Composer (4.12)
- Deactivated/Deleted & Reinstalled Layer Slider (5.6.9)
- Deactivated/Deleted & Reinstalled Mikado Core (1.0.3)
When I inspect the in the browser, I can see all of the logo images pulling up in the DOM, but nothing is showing up on the page. Any help?

Bought the theme have a couple of questions:
1: In the portfolio my client has images of all different sizes. It seems when I insert the portfolio item the images don’t size correctly or stay uniformed. Is there a tweak/option to make all images sizes to the same size.

2: the header on your demo is transparent, but it seems that in my mock its not allowing to do that. What is the option to allow the header to be transparent.

1. When you add portfolio list element from Visual Composer to some page, you can choose image proportions http://screencast.com/t/irkGwcuAtHv
We have used the same size images on our demo, but you can choose one of predefined proportions, to have same images, but it’s necessary that your originals are all bigger than some minimal requirements, so the script can render appropriate thumbnails.
2. In Mikado Settings -> Header, you can define header transparency for your site. If you set it to 0 , it will be fully transparent. And also, in pages -> each page, under Mikado header settings, you can set header transparency for that page individually.

I am in the same boat as lcottner. With Visual Composer activated it breaks the style sheet from loading, but the custom CSS still works. I just disabled it since I don’t use it anyways currently.

Is there a way to adjust the spacing between columns in a row?, I have a row with 3 columns and each column has a border on them, but they all sit edge to edge. I’ve tried adjusting the margin which will add spacing on one side but it then overlaps the other column on the opposite side.

-After it, update your Visual Composer plugin to 4.11.2.1 which is provided with theme
1. Please make sure main theme is activated while performing other steps
2. Go to Plugins page in your WordPress Dashboard, locate Visual Composer in the list, deactivate it and delete it
3. You will see message that required plugin is missing at the top of your WordPress Dashboard
4. Install the plugin and then activate it
-And make sure to delete cache. Then everything will work just fine again.
