Isotope JS for products is a built in feature and you don’t need to change any code to turn on it on alternative shop layout for example. Simply enable this options in Theme Settings and you will see masonry grid on your shop page!

If you are talking about product appearance when you just open the page it is not implemented in the theme at the moment. Since we don’t have any instructions how to achieve this it may need additional files customization with JS and CSS.
I’ve just installed the theme and added one product. When I tested checking out with Bank Transfer, it showed success thank you page but I don’t receive the order confirmation email at all (I use different email for customer). How can I fix it?

We would be glad to help you but it seems to be a problem with your WooCommerce configuration or server mail function. Are other emails work correctly? Does it happen only with our theme or even with some default one also?
In case when emails are not sending at all you should contact your hosting providers and ask them to check mail function on your web-site.

Hi, do you plan to add an option to edit the email templates in color, add the logo or something else? I think it would be very great without a use of any plugin. Its very good if it is in theme options integrated.

Actually email templates doesn’t come from the theme, they are WooCommerce functionality. And ability to change their design is more plugin territory so we don’t have any plans at the moment to implement such function in Basel.

I’m having issues with the CMB2 plugin your theme requires and Visual Composer. Whenever the plugin is active, Visual Composer stops working. I can see the shortcodes in the Text view of the page, but I can’t get the Visual/drag and drop side to work. Please advise.

@xtemos i found it, you need 2 deactivate the plugin. Then create a new static blog page and then active the plugin and everything is fixxed.

Actually the whole menu element (with shipping info etc..) PLEASE PROVIDE STEPS THIRD : I did all options in wocoomerce and theme. Still i dont understand how to get to show product attributes in product grid or anywhere else on the site for that matter. My products have three options for colors (i use images) Your products show these 3 options anywhere on the site bellow add to chart and near price (select options)

one more thing : for mobile menu – i would like to have an option to change color : main category color and non main category color . Also an option to put image on mobile menu too . Your css excludes images for now ….Not quite sure about that yet..but for this few minutes that i checked i think yes..

1-2) To create “Mega menu” dropdown you need to create a new HTML block in admin panel with Visual Composer (to enable VC for this post type you need to go to Visual Composer -> Role Manager -> Post Types and choose custom then select all post types). You can set it’s layout as you wish. The only one way to add icon to mobile menu is to fill “Icon name (from FontAwesome set)” field in Appearance -> Menus with the name of the icon you want to show for this item from Font Awesome set http://fontawesome.io/icons/

Only bug i found on your theme is : http://themeforest.net/item/basel-responsive-ecommerce-theme/full_screen_preview/14906749 IF I ADD VISUAL COMPOSER ELEMENT THROUGH SHORTCODE under the TITLE OF PRODUCT ; EVERYTHING WORKS FINE ON DEKSTOP AND MOBILE , but on quick view ; vc is disabled and show text of shortcode . Have a quick fix for this ?

Are you going to use visual composer for products short description? Unfortunately VC elements shortcodes doesn’t work with any AJAX requests, we don’t have a solution for this problem at the moment.
Too bad , because under product if i put badges for product , all okay except for quick view . I dont want to disavle it….Hm… I willl not bother u anymore as i allready took enough of your time. Just a small fix idea ; For vc elements – all start with same code – do u have a css fix for ajax quick view : show all content ; hide product element that starts with vc code – only on quick view ?

Same thing is with other quick view in themes, not only yours…so its actually not a bug…..This shouldnt be a big deal to change but apperently it is .. And for me as i was running multiple shops … i understand that user checks description field more often than additional info. And first field is more important for sale of product , thats why it graphic intervention should be supported. i expect mobile users to check more frequently quick view…and right now most of the sites have 50% mobile phone users surfing….

I remade your vc add in htmlbox on my site. Doesent show nothing, except on mobile it created black block . So i simplified all to try the most simple thing possible. To add wocommerce product anywhere in menu

We will consider your feature request in the future but currently it is not available in our theme. HTML blocks can be added only for main navigation but not for mobile.

Hey, still in love with this theme! Just one more thing I want to change and I tried and do not know how! So I want to extend the space between the site logo in the upper left of my page and the top bar…it looks pretty cramped and I want more space between the top and the logo. I am using the simplified header option.

Actually you can easily translate this string. It comes from WooCommerce plugin and you can find it in plugin’s POT file. It doesn’t belong to our theme translations and we will not fix it.

Hello awesome support of Basel theme. I’m setting up a popup but my image is on top of my content on the right (https://s31.postimg.org/7o2vvep0b/Screen_Shot_2016_06_16_at_16_05_28.png). I have already tried resizing this image twice but it doesn’t work. What characteristics does the image need to have?? I would really want to use that one.
Also, I want to change the font family of the text on the right. I have seen tutorials in which they recommend installing WP Google Fonts and set the desired font to every h1, h2, h3 and so forth. After that, then they say to remove the original font-families from the style.css of the theme. I don’t want to mess up. I like the font family of all the pages of the Basel theme, I just want to change the font-family of the text in the popup to Bree+Serif and Lora. How can I do this?

1. How are you trying to set your image? As a background for the popup? In this case try to make it squared. Or you can add it as a “Single image” element of the Visual Composer, it may look better in this case.
2. Did you try to change fonts in Theme Settings -> Typography? You can set any font there including google fonts. If you need to set google font for some specific element of the page so you need to install some plugin that will add fonts to the site and then write some CSS code to add this font family to desired element.
Anyway it would be much easier for us to help you if you will create a topic on our support forum and give us your web-site url.

I didn’t know that we could set up the pop up with Visual Composer. My Visual Composer actually doesn’t work on frontend mode since two weeks ago or so. Why do you think this happened to me? And a more general question: should we avoid updating the plugins that come with the Basel theme?

Visual Composer updated plugin will come with the next theme update (probably one-two weeks). So it is not necessary update it right now.

In general we suggest you update both WordPress, plugins and theme in the same time.

Hi, I am really happy with the theme so far. My question is related to the new update or updates in general. What is your advice? I am using a child theme and now with the ew woocommerce and so on I wish to update to the latest version of basel. Do I download the new version and update the whole theme parent or will there be an automatic update feature? Should I use the envato toolkit from GitHub? What is your advise?

Using child theme is a perfect way to do the customization. So when new theme version is released you need to download it from themeforest and just replace parent theme folder with the new one. Or you can try to use Envato new plugin for updates for this purpose http://envato.github.io/wp-envato-market/

Our latest update version 1.6.1 was mainly developed to fix all the issues caused by WooCommerce 2.6 update. At the moment visual composer version in our theme is stable and there is no necessity to update it right now. Anyway new version will be presented soon (probably 1-2 weeks) so you will be able to update the plugin also.
