Hello, I’ve upgraded yesterday to the 7.0.9 release and it something has happened with the icon fonts—they’ve all disappeared. The Behance icon seems to still be in my footer, but all other social media icons, everywhere on the site, are blank. When will a fix for this be released? Thank you for advising!

Hi, Doesn’t seem to be the case. I’ve been using Salient on this site for a while now and the problem also goes away when I revert back to the previous version of Salient.
When you updated did you delete the old version of the theme before uploading the new?
Yes. Even re-deleted and re-uploaded from scratch just now. Cleared cache. Doesn’t work.

I’ve upgraded Woocommerce to the 2.6.1 version and the Salient theme to the 7.0.9 version. Now the cart and checkout page are completely empty.

We have a small issue with our website: All icons and shortcodes are not properly displayed anymore. For reference, here is our site. http://picavi-wp.aix-cloud.de/
For example, in the 3 blue boxes there should be an arrow in the end. However, only a rectangle is displayed. Also the “to-top” arrow is not displayed in the box.
What could be a reason for that issue and how can we fix it?

As purchased I really prefer “update automatically” but sure, I can update it by FTP. Thx.
The Envato toolkit plugin isn’t maintained by me personally but rather a tool the marketplace gives to allow users to update. If you’re experiencing issues with it still try reaching out in a support ticket to them to see what could be preventing it from working on your setup
+1 To add support for Youtube / Vimeo video backgrounds instead of self hosted – really hits page load times quite hard. Keep up the awesome work.

Hi! It only happens when you are redirected to the page (http://test.omegaexp.com.mx/nosotros/) from a link/button inside the page. For example If you click the button “Acerca de” from the home slider in the Home Page you get redirected to the page “Nosotros” and the icons wont show but….if you enter directly to the page http://test.omegaexp.com.mx/nosotros/ from the browser the icons show! Please help! BTW im using Google Chrome
Hi there – I’ve been using your theme for quite a while now and am getting ready to buy two new licenses for clients that I am building two different sites for – this is truly the best theme I have used so far.
I have a question that I had resolved once before but I think it was wiped out with the last massive Wordpress update. My client wants to make it so that when scrolling on mobile, the map locks in place and is not scrollable.
Could I ask you to please let me know where and what I need to add this snippet of code so that the map is not scrollable, draggable or zoomable in any way on mobile?

I’m still experiencing the scrolling map on mobile.

Oh no, I know that it was only for the map. I just realized that the image wasn’t loading in a specific instance yesterday and it might’ve been my internet connection. Also, that image is pretty large so I think that when it scales down to mobile there are some issues.
I’ll look into integrating a mobile setting through a snippet somewhere online that can effect that nectar slider and downsize that image when on mobile.

Hi, for some reason when I try and upload an image to either a post header or a page header, the upload button is not working. When I click upload, nothing happens. Any ideas? I believe I have the latest update, I purged my cache, etc.

Hi Theme Nectar! The Parallax scroll with a Mouse Based Parallax BG has the Parallax going side to side (horizontally). Is there an option to change the parallax to go vertically when you scroll down instead?

Hey, as of now you can’t have a multilayered parallax on scroll – the regular row BG can be set to parallax which will respond to the scroll position though

Does Salient offer multiple header layouts? Say I want to create a center menu and logo at the top of my page, I don’t see any of your demos that offer the center logo header option – only top left justified logos.
Hey, There’s an option for the logo to be centered above the menu in the header options however there’s no option for it to be centered between two menus if that’s what you’re looking for

It seems as if Yoast doesn’t work correctly with Salient. In Google it doesn’t show the custom SEO titles or Meta descriptions for my pages. Any idea what may cause this or how to fix it? We’ve never had this problem with yoast on any other themes we’ve used.

A new strange problem after the update.
I am getting ERROR 404 errors on the “View Cart” and “Checkout” pages. I have updated both Salient and Woo Commerce to the latest updates.
Can you take a look and go to the site and add a product and test it out: http://www.unionfoundry.co/mercantileAdd the product, and then go to View Cart or Checkout and you will see it listed in the URL as “Trashed Cart” (here is the exact URL: http://www.unionfoundry.co/cart-2__trashed/)

Hello! i purchased this theme last year, and now the wp upgrade has broken the Visual Composer in the site. I need to update both the Salient theme and Visual composer – but I can’t seem to do that easily within the plugin / theme settings. Do i need to buy a new copy of the theme in order to do this?!

What version of Salient VC do you have active now? If you’re upgrading from Salient VC 4.9.2, you’ll need to delete the plugin from your plugins section in the WordPress admin panel before installing the current version (4.11.2) in Appearance > Install Plugins – This is necessary due to a bug in the Salient VC 4.9.2 which prevents regular updating.

Hey, Thank you for your reply. For VC, newest version is 4.12, the site is using 4.3.5. The salient theme: Newest version is 7.0.9, current site is 5.5.53.
How do I install the current version of VC? Does it mean I need to purchase it separately? And also, how do I update to the newest version of Salient?

We added new videos to the page. Code is the same but they don’t get rendered. I even went into vc_video and the run_shortcode gets triggered (at least the call gets into the following block. I saw that through adding a little string to the output and it appeard on all video… also the ones that don’t render only url is outputted there)

But that should be fixed… the weird thing that half the videos get rendered but the rest not. I read that the $wp_embed is a special shortcode and disables all others then runs and then gets disabled… maybe he/the shortcode reference gets a timeout and is disabled to early while still being used in VC? STRANGE!
Well putting the output for Vimeo as a string fixed it… But that would have to be reapplied on every Salient/VC update. Not a good place to be.

As of now it wouldn’t be possible to embed it as a BG but you could embed a normal player – add the embed code into the sub title textfield and make sure to change all the quotes into single quotes for the embed iframe attributes

I am using this theme for the first time after the purchase. However, when i installed the theme and imported the demo content, I am unable to edit the page using Visual composer. It shows me the option only during classic mode but no options during page builder mode. Kindly help am using the theme first time to my client.
