Is there a way to put the shop category menu on the homepage in a sidebar? For example, in one of the blocks? I can put woocommerce products or similar in the block, but I want to have just the menu which I have in the shop there.

You can set the categories on search from Appearance >> Theme Options >> Header >> Search Form >> Set the search content type as product/post/portfolio whatever you want >> then next option will appear show categories.

Hello please reply all of a sudden I can’t find the MEMBERS tab in the backend . I had a old window open and when I clicked on it , it said “Invalid post type” why would the members section just disappear out of no where. confused please help asap

1- Please Go to Theme Option >> Member, Set the “Member Content Type” to disable, It will remove member tab from your dashboard.

I want to add a gallery to my site. In your changelog I saw the “Image Gallery porto shortcode”, but I cannot find any examples for it. Should I use this for my gallery or use any plugin (NextGen or similar)? thanks

There is a VC element in Porto named “Image Gallery” You can use it for this purpose.

We have not tested this plugin yet with our theme and its not possible to guarantee 3rd party plugins for us.

But if plugin is coded perfectly it should work with any WooCommerce theme. You can also confirm from the plugin author. This is the best info we can provide at this stage. Thank you for your co-operation.

How can I hide my email adress in the header?

In the description it says “Easy 2 minute setup”. Does this mean that I don’t need any programming skills to setup this theme as a website?

Can I just upload the them folder to a web-server directly or is it a lot of steps in between in order to make it work as a website? I find it hard to actually see how I can set this up. There is no information.

Hi, I seem to be experiencing unresponsiveness with the backend settings of master slider. I contacted their support but I realised that I needed a license key to create a ticket. Since it is bundled with the theme what steps can I do to try and find a solution to this?

We have replaced master slider with Revolution slider with more powerful feature in the latest version of theme 3.0.3. Please use Revolution slider from now, its bundled with the theme too. Thanks

This is server permission issue, Please contact your server support to change the permission of the css folder to 777. Basically when you saved the theme options then it’s created the skin_1.css file inside the css folder, because of permission the theme is not able to create this file into your site.

It was php7.0 related issue. php5.5 with few errors messages but successfully imported. php5.6 with few errors messages but successfully imported.

I am very disappointed about the support. Sorry to say, but I expected a lot more. I bought this theme because it looks fine and the support responded frequently. But with several other themes, the support just asks for ftp login and then does only harm to the site!!! Better to discuss first with the customer. I made a ticket on your support page that I coudln’t update the theme because of wrong permissions (through Envato toolkit). What did your support? They installed an FTP plugin and copied the new theme to the server, NOT over the old theme, but in a new folder. Not only that I have now two Porto themes on my server (old version and new version), but almost ALL my customizations are gone!!! How can this be?? The header lacks the top navigation, the logo is gone, all my favicon logos are not there, the footer is missing most of it, welcome message gone, and many many more!!! I now have to reset everything to what I had before (and don’t remember everything), it takes me days to have the same layout again!!!! How can this be that the old settings are gone?

Sorry for the inconvenience. But we have not changed anything other than the theme update. We have not deleted the old theme just for backup reasons. We have backup your old theme to ensure that you will not lose any files that you have customized. And FTP plugin is just installed to unzip the theme zip file which we have uploaded through your given FTP nothing else.

About the theme options settings, I think your server did not give permission to add / save the settings of the Theme Options. Basically, when you saved the theme options then it’s created the _config folder and settings file inside the folder, because of permission the theme is not able to create the folder and settings file into your site. Can you please check the permission and changed it to 777 for the better result in the future.

We hope that you understand our point and looking for your cooperation. Once again extremely sorry for the inconvenience and for your time lost. Can you please send us details about your settings then we will do it for you free of cost with perfection and it will save your precious time.

After the exaplanation of what you exactly did I am quite happy about your support. Would have been better if you had explained this immediately instead of only saying “theme has been udpated” and leaving me without my customizations, but at the end what counts is a FAST support and your support is really fast. In this way the communication between theme author and customer is a lot better and problems can be solved faster! I think I have chosen the right theme! ;-) thanks

You can bold the font of phone number, email address from Appearance >> Theme Options >> Header >> Contact Info and the other option you can do it with custom CSS, please give us your site URL we will create the CSS for you.

Ok I have got the email and the phone number in bold font using but I need the rest of the top bar information all bolded also. The site we are building is on a temporary domain and for security reasons I would prefer not to give this out. Can you help with this with either custom css or something else? It really should be part of the theme options. Thanks.
