VERY nice theme / demos! Question, I noticed that some have different menu and menu functionality.. is this locked into that demo or can menu functionality be selected no mater what demo one uses?
Example, for “One Page” the top menu changes background color as you scroll.. can this also happen with “Modern Creative”?

In salient theme inbuilt visual composer is not working.
Since it is the default plugin so you have to fix the issue

Hi there, I have Popup Maker plugin installed to create click-activated pop-up boxes & it was working fine before the last update but now there is a conflict that stops most portfolio pages from loading & all popups unless I deactivate the ‘animated page transitions’ option in Salient Options. I contacted the plugin author who said “either your theme has a JS error, or may be doing something along the lines of loading an additional copy of jQuery which would definitely going to cause problems.” Can you tell me if this is the case please? Or if there is any way around this conflict that would allow me to use the animated page transitions and the Popup Maker? Thank you for your help!

That’s encouraging to hear- I’ve posted another comment though explaining that my site is closed at the moment while I try to fix these glitches so I don’t think a URL would do much good? In addition to the other issues I’m unable to access things like ‘gradient title’ & ‘cascading images’ on the back-end of the demo home pages so could you take a look please? And can you try to optimize the theme for speed a little more? So many files (stylesheets and javascripts) are loaded with each website load. Maybe you can add the option to disable some of the functionality completely on a options page and maybe make it possible to disable or better enable some of the functionality on a page by page basis. This way we can activate a specific feature on only the page/s that we need it on which makes it load the needed javascript and stylesheet files only on these page/s but not on all the other pages.

1. Yes you could do something similar by using a full width content row with two 1/2 columns inside of it. And then within the right column use two VC inner rows with two more 1/2 columns inside.
2. There’s already logic that prevents loading of scripts which aren’t used in the functions.php however if there was an option to remove elements from the theme all together that would obliviously increase performance more. I’ve noted the +1 for the idea

2. yes but the functions.php is a sitewide used file which means it only enables or disables functions for the whole site except you know how to code if statements and I guess most users of the theme don’t 
So a way to turn some of the heave javascript using features on or off in the options panel and/or on a page by page basis would be really helpful in terms of speed. So for example if I do not need a Google Map on a site (which is usually used on the contact page only) then it would be nice if the javascript for it would only be loaded on the contact form. This is just an example to explain what I mean. Thanks for adding it to your idea sheet. I think everything in terms of speed improvement will benefit all users now and later on even more.

Hey Alan, unfortunately css alone can’t recreate that javascript is needed to calculate the direction logic. I’ve noted the idea for the wishlist though
Would it be possible to recreate the image title sequence? In other words, is it possible to recreate how the text appears not so much the direction logic but more just the text appearing style and method?

In order to get the project navigation on the top with the title you have to choose that option for “Single Project Page Navigation” in the Salient options panel > portfolio >styling tab

1. Unfortunately I don’t have a plugin to recommend, however if you used a Nectar Slider and placed a video lightbox shortcode in each slide caption box, you’d have a similar result

Hey, it seems one of the third party plugins you have active is adding markup into the page which is most likely preventing it from working correctly
If you add extra controls to youtube videos, they break down in Salient.
If I add ?rel=0&showinfo=0&autohide=1 to the youtube link, it shows the link, but not the video, is this normal?
example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VkwQWdbtJI?rel=0&showinfo=0&autohide=1
instead of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VkwQWdbtJI
To be honest, I tested on another theme with Visual Composer and it work without issues.
Hope it can be fixed in upcoming releases.

Hey, thanks for noting – the next update will sort that. However if you still just use an embed code instead of a link you should be able to use whatever params you need outside of the VC video element

ThemeNectar – Oh how I love you! I’ve been promoting you to my friends for some time. Love the update… HOWEVER… oddly, now when I first publish a page I get a blank page that simply says “Are you sure you want to do this?” with a link below it that says “Please try again”. When I go back to wordpress pages in back end the page is there. Please help? This is slowing me down a lot. I’ve turned off all other plug ins, etc., yet so far can’t find the cause.

Hi. It it possible to change the theme light box for PhotoSwipe? It’s much better for fullscreen photography portfolio viewing. With included lightboxes it not possible to see a details of image.

I did try to use the Justified Image Grid – buth it doesn’t work for portfolio images but gallery only. It loapds portfolio image via URL. How to load portfolio images with other than PrettyPhoto? Is it possible to integrate the photoswipe in the theme somehow?
Is it possible to add the PhotoSwipe 4 from Dmitry Semenov integrate to the theme? I’m still struggling to make good looking photography portfolio.
I would like to use PhotoSwipe as a default light box for Project Portfolio: “Lightbox Only This will remove the single project page from being accessible thus rendering your portfolio into only a gallery.”
Please see a sample: I did use a portfolio item and gallery bellow. It would be great to have a native solution.

I use the google chrome. It work only inside the Justified Image Grid plugin galleries. The top powder image is a theme portfolio project. I’m trying to load it in a [Lightbox Only] mode. I’ve setted up the magnific theme litebox. But it opens the image in new page without the lightbox. I like the portfolio better than galleries. The JIG pluguing making everything only complicated. It was much easier to sort portfolio images by categories and tugs. It would be great if the PhotoSwipe 4 will be the theme choice.
Hey, if you have the theme lightbox turned off the only way the portfolio image gallery would open in a lightbox is if the plugin you’re using added a general lightbox functionality to all image links in the site
