1. Are you referring to the font weight? If so, in the typography options tab in the Salient options panel there’s a dropdown for weight for every section
2. In the header.php file you’d need to add the HTML, could you let me know where you’re trying to move the icons to so I can assist? If you could provide a mockup image that would make things easier
3. In the Salient options panel > header navigation tab you can define your logo height and the header padding – those two options dictate how tall your header will be

The header.php file contains the code – look for nectar_header_social_icons(‘secondary-nav’) to end up at the right location

I try to remove G+ icon from the header. At social media tab it says “Enter in your social media locations here and then activate which ones you would like to display in your footer options & header options tabs.”
I did find footer options, but can’t find header options. Where are they? Thanks!

Hey chasedesignsinc, are you using a child theme with a modified header.php file? If so you’ll need to update it to reflect the current code

Hi,
I am having a problem with the Google Maps widget.
I have replaced:
$.getScript(‘https://maps.google.com/maps/api/js?sensor=false&callback=mapAPI_Loaded');"
with
$.getScript(‘https://maps.google.com/maps/api/js?sensor=false&key=APIKEYHERE&callback=mapAPI_Loaded');
in the maps.js file as previously advised however, the maps section is now blank. Before the modification, I had the “Sorry! Something went wrong.” error.
Please assist.

The current version of Salient adds the API input key into the Salient options panel so modding the file is no longer necessary

I’m using a “Slide Out from Right Hover” off canvas navigation and I’m finding that there’s a major space gap between where the hamburger is and the first menu item. Is there a title that goes there or is there any way to reduce that space?

Hey Salient, I gotta say that I love your work. I am working with the theme for quite some time. Your last update is also awesome.
Today I did add google map with like 100 pins on my site. So I worked with it like for 4 hours because I got to find coordinates for every place.
After 2 hours I felt that my eyes are really tired from the glowing white screen so it hit me, that maybe you could add to only this screen dark background. It would be more comfortable for the eyes.
It’s just my observation user.
Keep this awesome work, you are now way much better than Avada

Can you please tell me where exactly in header.php I should place it. This form is to have a user leave their phone number, which will be received via email.

If you’re using the secondary header layout, inside of the nav tag within the header-secondary-outer div. Css will likely still be needed to make it fit/align correctly. If you’re not using the secondary header, inside of the span_9 within the header-outer div

Question:
page speed and lightweight site matter a lot for my usage. I’m not going to use some of the effects in demos. Are the extra js and css for some contents and visual effects still going to load if I’m not using them? Some of the demos have noticeably high http requests and low page speed score.

There’s conditional logic already in place to stop larger scripts from loading if those shortcodes are not in use – since the demos were just updated I disabled all caching, once I turn that back on the page speed scores will go up a bit

Hi i’m super glad to use your theme, but I ran in to a problem with my mobile version. It won’t open the page if I want to open a submenu. I’m using “page-scroll-to-id”-plugin and on the computer it works like it should, but when I use a mobilephone the menu’s open to the submenu’s but they don’t link to the page like the do on the computer. So I can only open the homepage and the pages without a submenu. Can you help me with that?
