You can translate Avada’s backend strings using a .po file, you don’t need to use WPML. Our translation files are curated by the community, so while some of the languages have been fully translated, there are some that are only partially translated. You can find the .po files in this GitHub repository:

Hi,
I’m having problems with another major theme that can’t seem to do basic stuff, so I ask you can your theme do the following:
http://imgur.com/a/Do9geIn the image is the basic layout I want for pages, with a transparent background. The first 2 nested rows must always be centered on the screen and the footer must always be at the bottom of the screen, with no overflow – it must all fit on the viewport. (I don’t have a lot of content).
The header and footer areas must be transparent.
If possible, also transparent page transitions, ie. when clicking another page it fades into the next page, without some jarring solid colour being the transition colour – I don’t want ANY colour in the page transition. Because my background needs to remain constant.
Is this possible with your theme?
Also, the page content must not go behind the navigation area because it is transparent, as is the case with this other theme.

Thank you for the screenshot, going by that screenshot and as you explain its here, you can certainly achieve that with Avada. There is only one thing to note though, Nested Columns will only be available in Avada 5.0 which is going to be released very soon.

A transparent footer would require customization to achieve, dependent on exactly how the footer needs to be laid out.
Transparent page transitions as you explain it, is something called AJAX that allows a page to be served without the browser actually needing to refresh the page. Unfortunately Avada does not make use of AJAX to serve pages and posts to the browser

Hello,
I just insalled WMPL to my website and added the language selector in the secondary header area.
Now the whole secondary header is way bigger, than it used to be before the installation of wpml.
1. So with which code ( in custom css) can I edit the height of the secondary header? In order to make it smaller?
2. To flags stick to the very top of the page, and that does not look very nice. Can you tell me with which code I can adjust the height of the flags? Or add a little padding, so they are displayed at the same height than the infos on the left side of the secondary header?

Hello, I am using “Page/Post Content Shortcode” to display post content on the page. I afraid your theme will not compatible with this shortcode. I also have 2 shortcodes. One for display the post title by ID and other for display the excerpt.

Unfortunately we’re not able to provide any assurances that third party plugins and custom shortcodes will work with Avada out of the box. We test Avada with some of the more popular plugins, a list which can be found on the right hand side of this page. Any plugin not on that list has not been officially tested by our team, so we can’t offer any guarantees, sorry!
Having said that, we keep Avada as close to WordPress coding standards as possible, so it should work with most well-coded plugins with no issues.

I’ve installed the theme for a friend who bought it. but theres a problem installing the fusion core plugin. I always get the same error message:

Plugin not activated. A higher version of Fusion Core is needed for this theme. Please update the plugin.

It sounds like ZipArchive might not be enabled on the server. I would get in touch with your web host and ask them to check your PHP configuration and ensure that ZipArchive is in fact enabled on your account.

I love the theme, has a bit of a learning curve with so many options to choose from. The only things I had major problems with were the single page parallax, I could not get the pages to scroll smoothly and also the Fusion and Revolution Sliders are a bit of a pain, but I’m sure it is something I am doing or not doing. Anyways, great work can’t wait for version 5.0

This theme with its framework is powerful, I have more than a year that I’m using it, but I think it has a weak point, is the loading speed… It is some slow in admin like so the frontend… It is not the fastest frameworks. Hopefully improve performance in next versions. Greetings!

While speed is something that we’ve paid special attention to in the upcoming release Avada 5.0, we’re not aware of any significant speed issues with Avada 4.0.3.
The speed of your site is majority affected by the content on your pages, as well as the server that you’re hosted on. Avada itself is not particularly heavy, especially on the front end. If you are experiencing some speed issues, please do head on over to our support center to submit a ticket so that we can take a look at it for you.

The submenu is placed at the very bottom of the menu container. If you want to bring it closer to the text, you would need to reduce the menu height via your Theme Options -> Menu -> Main Menu -> Main Menu Height.
If you wish to keep the menu height the same, you will need to use custom CSS to move the submenu further up the container. We have a getting started with custom CSS guide here:

Hello, Avada team! Very lovely theme, but i found that i can’t change any font options in “Headers Typography” and “Body Typography”. Select font is not clickable. I’m able to change only font color, but not the Font-size, especial Font-family and other options looks locked… I tried in different browsers like Chrome and Fitrefox… What to do?

I do apologize, but I’m not entirely sure I understand your question. Our theme uses WooCommerce here https://woocommerce.com ... so whatever can be done with that, you can do with Avada since that is the plugin you use.
When you create an account to buy something with WooCommerce, it does allow you to create an account, and you have a username and password. When you go back to the site, you use that to login, and you can have a login widget in the main or top menu, or even sidebars, etc.

We are getting a javascript error since upgrading wordpress to 4.6 “Uncaught Error: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: [href=#]” it is breaking all of our GravityForms instances…. if i turn Avada theme off, the forms no longer are broken, and if i backdate to older Wordpress, the forms no longer are broken… is there an update that fixes this? Avada 3.8.3 is what we have
nevermind, i upgraded to 4.0.3 and the error is gone now answered my own question
