One last question: When I embed flash videos as Portfolio Items, the lightbox back/forward/close buttons will not appear on top of the video no matter how big a z-index I give them. It looks like the flash video needs a param wmode=transparent, but I can’t find which framework file creates the flash object for that page. Any help?

You will find

Change it to your want.

Thanks! That’s exactly where it was… but that didn’t quite fix the problem.
Here’s the dev page: http://www.test.lylawarren.com/portfolio/, if you find an item towards the bottom of the page with a flash video, you’ll see that the close/next/back buttons won’t appear above the video. You can see about 1px of them around the border. Any ideas?

Dang, didn’t quite work.
I commented the line and made sure the cache was cleared. The colorbox no longer gets the class name, but the close/next/prev buttons still don’t appear.
Any other ideas? This is the only thing keeping us from launch!

I can see the buttons in that screenshot because the swf isn’t there. The buttons won’t appear on top of the swf. When the swf disappears, the buttons are visible.

It’s wrong. The correct one is

First of all, congratulations for an amazing theme. Hands down the best WP theme i’ve worked with so far!
Little question – i cannot get a portfolio view (from the porftfolio shortcode) to display my shortcode description, despite the fact i have enabled advanced descriptions in the portfolio settings (advanceDesc=”true”)
I am trying to have an
- in a framed box with rounded corner. On a normal page it displays perfectly but when i try to put it in a portfolio and show it, i have 2 options:
1) it shows text stripped of all html tags if i disable advanced description options
2) it shows nothing if advanced description is enabled.

Do you mean reduce the padding of the sidebar on the homepage ?
If so you can try custom css code below in striking->general options page.

You can try add some slider items. Set image as feature image, and give the slider item a category.
Then go to ‘striking->homepage’ option page, set slider source to the category.

I think you need ftp client, but if you want upload the theme through wordpress admin panel, you can go to edit the striking.zip package.
Delete unwanted fonts in striking/fontface folder to reduce the size of the package, then you can upload it.

Thanks for the update and fixing the iFrame border issues in IE 8 , looks good!
I am glad I backed up my “Striking Options Data” to a .txt because I had to import that after the update to make everything go back to how I had it. I almost didn’t do that!
Also, do you have a Sticky-Footer fix in the works for the next update?

As you see in my example when you click on the video it starts to play automatically and there is no white border, there is only shadow and there are no black bars on the top and the bottom area
4- And finally is it possible to change the video size ? I can change the video thumbnail size but i do not now now how to change video preview size

Yes, I removed the gmap from the main home page and everything “header nav menu and logo”, came back in. Hope that gets resolved at one point. Thanks, great theme.

The cufon and gmap plugin cause the issue.
You can try use custom css code below in striking->general option page.
