Hi there i did not realized that after i purchase your theme i have to purchase Visual Composer plugin and Slider revolution. For the Template to function properly? Is that true?

First of all thanks for purchasing porto theme.

There is no need to activate or purchase the new license for both plugins. Visual Composer and Revolution Slider are already included in the theme package and already purchased the license by Smartwave. This activation message for those who want to update the plugin directly from their website. In our case, you can receive the updated plugin always with the theme update release.

So no need to activate the plugins, just ignore the message and feel free to use it.

Hi, there – I’m wondering if you can tell me how I can edit the syles/theme the forms – basically my contact forms and newsletter boxes are not visible (they are on the page though) due to them being the same colour as the background. I can’t seem to find the option in the theme options…. any idea where it is or am I blind? :)

If you are using the contact forms and newsletter widget in the footer then you can change the color of the footer section from the Appearance >> Theme Options >> Footer

OR

If you are using the VC element in the page to show the contact forms then you can find the color option in the VC element in design options.

Hi, after I purchased your porto theme, there is a message alert me to activate visual composer and revolution slider? does it mean that those plug-in not in premium version? if i want to activate those plug-in, how can i do that? or all plug-in that included the in the theme’s zip file not premium version?

To use premium templates you will need license key and we can not provide you that. You can use demo sliders which are bundled with the theme. Please go to theme package folder and check “Revolution Sliders Demo” folder. Thanks

No, looks like none of these categories that described in this link is not what I mean. And I mean the following. When some user buys for example “product 1” and “product 2” in one order, and next time the other user watching on the page with “product 1” he sees at the bottom of the page “product 2”, because another user bought it in the past with “product 1”. So at this block there are some products that was bought with our product most frequently.

Actually, both the theme are totally different to each other. One of the Porto themes is for the WordPress platform and the other is the Magento version. Both themes are developed on different platforms. It’s up to you which one you are using for your website and up to your project requirements. You can read the difference between WP and Magento here:

Hi! we are setting up the theme and it looks very cool, but we have a question:

We installed Shop 7 and we want to bigger image on the left of top banner to be a slider of 3 images, we saw in Visual Composer there is a Porto Carousel Item and Porto Image Frame but we still don´t manage to configure it, what`s the right way to do it without compromising responsiveness and the proper alignment of the other 3 static images on the right of the banner? Please go to Appearance >> Widgets >> Edit the Footer Bottom Widget. You can find the Follow us Widget in it and you can add or delete the link of social share sites.

I’ve tried installing the demo content from the theme itself and it always gets stuck somewhere near the end.. I gave up and tried installing the demo using the 2nd method on the support forum and after installing the recommended plugins it gives me a HTTP Error 500..

I gave up installing it.. please fix whatever issues the theme is currently having because it’s very unusable.

First of all thanks for purchasing Porto theme.

I think there is an issue of server settings. Your server settings did not meet with the optimal server requirements of the theme. Optimal Server Requirements:

Server Type: Linux with cPanel ( Bluehost hosting Recommended )
PHP version = 5.6 or greater
Apache = 2.2 or greater
MySQL = 5.5 or greater
PHP Memory Limit = 256mb
PHP max_execution_time = 100 seconds
mod_rewrite Apache module = Enabled

If you are installing through WordPress Theme section, make sure your PHP Upload File Size limit is 64MB, since the theme .zip file is around 64MB

Please make sure all above settings are correct on your server, before complaining about theme issues. You can contact your web hosting company.

As I have checked we have solved and provided support to you for all the issues and questions you have asked for. Those all were settings and options in the Porto theme. However, Envato handles all the payments, the distributions and refund requests. They are the only one who can issue a refund. You would need to contact them at their support center. Im trying to remove the Widget on the sidebar that states “All Departments” But this theme now!

I have looked everywhere and cannot seem to find how to remove this box, its currently not listed as a widget in sidebar menu list! How do I remove this thing.

Hi,

This is not the widget. This is the sidebar menu you have assigned to your pages. Please go to Appearance >> Menus >> Select the sidebar menu and deselect it from the sidebar menu from the menu options. Then this will auto removed from your pages.

I’m out of support, so just mentioning it here. Porto 3.1 is not compatible with the WooCommerce Multilingual / WPML Currency Switcher.

In the ‘inc/functions/layout.php’ file you are using the following conditional several times:

if ( class_exists(‘WCML_Multi_Currency_Support’) ) {

However that class (‘WCML_Multi_Currency_Support’) has been long removed from WooCommerce Multilingual. So it will never work with Porto 3.1 unless that is fixed.

It would be great to get a fix for this, I’m sure lots of your clients have the same issue.

Just thought I would let you know.

Other than this the theme is pretty good, though I think there are too many options in it.

Porto 3.1 is fully compatible with WooCommerce Multilingual / WPML Currency Switcher. We have not yet received any complaint about this issue anywhere. If you have any issue with that then please give us more detail about the issue you are facing with screenshots. So we will check it and also please give us URL of your site with admin details so we will check your issue in your site and solve it for you.

At the moment I don’t intend to pay $41 for support, as it is not really needed. I merely wanted to point out this glitch to you, with details to help you solve it.

Currently I solved the problem with inserting some custom code into the named layout.php and it works fine until a fix for this comes. (If anyone is interested, write me.)

Well, now you have. :-) Though not a complaint, rather a flag.

I’m sure you are putting lot of effort into your theme, it is visible on the quality and the abundance of settings, as well as on your 5-star rating. However, this currency switcher glitch is there.

As I stated, in the layout.php (Porto 3.1) file there are lot of checks for the WCML_Multy_Currency_Support class. I have checked the files of WooCommerce Multilingual, and there is no trace of this class. Also I searched through the WPML forums and found this reply, which seems to confirm, that is has been removed: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/latest-woocommerce-multilingual-disabled-my-currency-switcher-speed-issues/#post-909972

At the moment I don’t need support for this, however, if you would like to, you can check on my dev site. I’m happy to give you login if there is a way to do that privately.

My goal is to have two currencies for products: usd and national one. I want to set price for products in usd, set exchange rate for my currency and price in national currency should be calculated according to exchange rate. On frontend the price should be displayed in national currency. So the workflow is: input-> price in usd->calculating->price in national currency. How can I achieve this?

So far I’ve installed WooCommerce Currency Switcher plugin and set two currencies, but at the moment there is no workflow like I discribed, because I have to input currency as a national currency.
