HOW DO I CHANGE THE MENU BACKGROUND COLOR ON HOVER / CLICK / REMAIN THAT COLOR WHEN USING DROP DOWN MENU?

At the moment, Avada does not have an option to set the background color of the menu items, only the menu text. If you would like to set a background color for the menu items when hovered/clicked, you will need to use custom CSS. The menu item selector is:
.fusion-main-menu>ul>li>a:hover, .fusion-main-menu>ul>li.current-menu-ancestor> a {
background: #FF0000;
}

Question about licensing – I would like to duplicate my website on the same domain name with different extensions – like domainname.com, domainname.co.uk, domainname.eu, domainname.ca – each will be hosted on the same server but will have slightly different content (like different denominations in woocommerce – to market different countries) and each will have a different database – it is one website duplicated with slight differences on different extensions. Question = do I need separate licenses for each extension or just one for the domain name?

Our understanding would be yes it would require one since content is different, but this seems to be a unique case as you described. To be 100% clear on this please ask Envato as they make the license. We’d prefer for them to answer to make sure it is 100% accurate. Is it possible to add captions to images when using the fusion builder image carousel?

You can add captions in the lightbox, both title and caption will appear for the image (which is pulled from title/caption fields in media section of WP) ... but captions will not display below the image if that is what you need. Right now they will only in the lightbox, but this is a feature we want to add at some point.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I have tried adding text for the caption and title fields in the media section but they still don’t appear in the lightbox. Do I need to enable this elsewhere?

Lightbox and Image Frame are both different shortcodes so please make sure that you are using the lightbox shortcode : http://prntscr.com/cvpzsu

I am not certainly sure about your query here, however you only get 1 theme (Avada) in $60 and not multiple themes. If you are talking about license you have to purchase/own a license for each publicly accessible domain install of the theme. Regardless of whether the installation domain is a sub domain or not, if it is publicly accessible, it requires a license.
If you are migrating to a different domain and you already have your product registered with your original purchase code etc, you do not need to purchase a new license; You can simply add your registered purchase information to the new installation’s product registration tab.

I’m sorry but I’m not sure what you are asking. It is one theme, that has dozens of demos you can import.
Are you referring to 250,000 sales? That is the number of sales our theme has generated, in fact it’s even more currently at 258,891, which is the most sold theme on Themeforest and has been #1 for 4 straight years.
Every theme sold here is one theme, but you can adapt them by customizations, which most people call “demos”, but it is still the same single theme.

Big issue: Avada 5 is Not working with Visual Composer-generated pages correctly—I prefer to use VC over fusion builder… what happens during your v5 update/conversion process is your converter now changes all pages to use FusionBuilder tags, which now means pages can no longer be updated/edited with VC (I’m using latest VC 12.1 version). For now the only workaround is to manually go and “restore earlier revision” of each page to retain VC edit capability. Please Fix your converter so it doesn’t wreck all my VC-generated pages during update to v5. big mess.

I can’t see how this can be a big issue or issue at all in fact. Conversion screen does mention that generic SC tags are now prefixed to avoid 3rd party plugin conflicts, however I can’t see why or how that would mess with VC. And we’ve not heard this report from anyone else who updated so please do open a ticket for us so we can check it out.

I’m a veteran avada user, 11 licenses; confirmed this problem on 3 sites I’ve tested. (for privacy/security I don’t allow 3rd-party logins to my sites, so can’t do support ticket). how to prevent avada5 upgrade/conversion from messing up/relabeling all my pages w/ fusionbuilder tags your converter inserts?

hi – I prefer not to use ticket system; please update conversion process to allow us to choose to not have it change pages; because it does Not work properly w/VC-generated pages. I’ve confirmed this on 3 different Avada/VC sites. I’m a pro coder w/decades of experience.

hi – is there a setting in Avada5 that can fix this?” in running pagespeed tests, the #1 slowdown says to Leverage browser caching… “Setting an expiry date or a maximum age in the HTTP headers for static resources”—I’m using WP super cache; is there any other way to set expiry dates on images w/in Avada for caching? thanks…

You will have to use any optimization plugin for this actually and look into the advanced settings of the plugin if there is an option for setting an expiry on images and different files, We have never tried this ourselves but you can try this plugin : https://wordpress.org/plugins/autoptimize/

We believe there is an error in the TinyMCE 4.4.1 being used in Avada 5.0.1 “wp-tinymce.php?c=1&ver=4401-20160726:12 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘body’ of undefined”. We have tried to upload the latest 4.4.3. but cannot get the URL parameters updated, so our uploaded version results in a 404.
It seems we managed to trace this issue back to the Yoast SEO plugin.

Hi I have a sub-menu in mobile device, but when you hit the arrow down or the link itself goes to a blank page (the link does not work on pc – which is correct), its only when you press the far right of the menu (past the link text and the arrow) that it works – is there any way to fix this please? so that in mobile the first link make the dropdown work rather than taking it to a blank page? thanks

hi there, I do not want to use wpml plugin because I am not planning to make it multiple language site. How do I change certain text like “related posts” or avada tabs “recent”, “popular” into some other texts? I would like the code to put into the advanced theme options to overwrite those text please.

Help! I have updated to Avada 5. It does not work, and my website it a complete mishmash of code – live. I need your help quickly please. It simply does not accpet my new authorization key from Envato. I followed your instructions to a T. It neither gives a green tick, nor a cross. It simply refreshes the page, and remains blank. I also cannot update Fusion Core. It keeps giving me this message: The www.selfrealizationashram.org page isn’t working

Hi Ammar, Thanks for your reply. My license has expired. I am actually happy to buy a new license, and get the 6 months support included – and even extend it for the $18 to 12 months. Will you assist my issue then if I buy a new license? Or am I required to buy just extended support on this license for $42? If that is the case I will not be keen to choose that option. Can you double check when you did buy your theme? If you bought it before September 1st 2015, then we (ThemeFusion) Grandfathered you in https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/getting-started/grandfathered-support/ ... so check that post first, however the grandfathering does only apply to the site you purchased before that date.
If you buy a new license of the theme, it comes with 6 months of free support plus you get a discount on extending te support when you buy another license, so if you will need another theme license, that is the best way to go.

No, you can still update your installation of Avada even if you’re support period has expired. However, if you have double checked that all of your registration details are correct (username, API key and license code) and the registration is still not saving correctly, we will need to take a closer look at your site for you. To do this, you will need to purchase an extension of your support and submit a ticket via our support center here:

If you want to update to 5.0 but are unable to register your purchase, you can download it directly from your ThemeForest account. As per my reply to your previous comment, if you’re not receiving Avada 5.0 when you download Avada from your ThemeForest account, please submit a ticket to the Envato support team as that should not be happening.

We’ve bought this theme and installed on our website pedrodiaz.com.au. But, unfortunately, when we tried to register the theme using “Product Registration” using the purchase code, it’s showing “Invalid token, or corresponding Envato account does not have Avada purchased”.
