After updating the theme and visual composer, the homepage layout is broken. When editing in visual composer, the layout looks correct, but it then falls apart when viewing the actual page. I’ve tried creating a new page and re-building the visual composer sections, but it still breaks. It doesn’t respect the 2/3 + 1/3 VC layout defined for the sections under the flex slider when I hide the sidebar or use the page with sections template. If I hide the sidebar, the content gets covered up on the left by the menu and all content under the slider is full width, no columns as defined in vc.

We are using a child theme and we updated the main theme to the latest version (from v5.2) and now the shortcode [vc_emppty_space … ] is appearing visually throughout the website between all areas of content. These shortcodes were not added by us and appear to be visual composer shortcodes in the theme. Is this a bug? And if not, what are your recommendations? I still think that these elements were added by an extra plugin or maybe you used a version of Visual Composer that is different from the one included with the theme.

Dear author,
the main reason I bought the samba theme was the masonry portfolio which a saw on the samba demo page. I would like to use it for creating a gallery. I’ve already spend hours searching the internet trying to find the solution, without any result. The one possible solution I found was to add the “masonry media grid” element with/from the visual composer, but that are no media grid elements in it.
Could you please tell me how it’s done.

dir is not use anymore after php5.3

I just reinstalled the Samba theme, updated the Samba Frameworks and Visual Composer plugins, and then tried to go the dashboard and encountered the following:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function vc_remove_element() in /home/awani/www/www/wp-content/plugins/samba_framework/inc/builder.php on line 75
I now load the homepage awani.com nor can I login via ~/wp-admin nor ~/wp-login.
Have you come across this issue before?

the website is primaltantra.com and finally is very nice and thank you for your work, at last there is one think i can not fix, is the translation of the contact page, i use your contact page with the contact-form-7 plugin, i read the previews posts and spend lot of time with no luck.
i use the wpml plugin with string-translation plugin that worked for many others but not for the contact page and still the settings for translation in Samba page does not have something to give

Hi Pirenko. Long time user of your theme – great stuff!
I have one area maybe you have an answer for. I’m trying to get an underline on H2 & H3 tags on blog posts. I can define the H2 with a “border-bottom” in CSS, but it takes a single color. I’d like to make the underline the “special color” defined for that post.
I’ve attempted through a function filter to parse the H2 and replace, but since the variable is defined on the page, and the functions process before the page loads, it doesn’t receive the variable;
$content = preg_replace( '/<h(\d{1,6})(.?)>(.?)<\/h(\d{1,6}).*?>/', '<h$1 $2 style="border-bottom:4px solid .$featured_color. ;"> $3 </h$4>', $content );I can also modify each individual post and modify the CSS directly for each with the new color, but I’m not looking forward to going through nearly 500 posts
I also know I can run it through ACF, redefine the colors there, and can then parse them in a CSS file, but that’s just duplication too.
Any thoughts on a direction I might explore?

Thanks for the response. I was able to find a workaround for my needs using the “Extra class name” from inside Visual Composer. It still requires our staff to edit every post
As a simple example: I want the “H2 color” to be what is defined in the “Featured color” on the individual post.
I couldn’t find a successful way to put a “php echo $featured-color” inside a style sheet.
The H1 tag can be edited directly in the templates as there’s a place for H1, but when using an H2 or H3 inside the_content() there is no way to apply unique formatting depending on what was listed in the “Featured color” for the post.
I do have a workaround which we’ll have our staff roll out this week, but it would be nice to set the color in one area and have it apply to multiple selectors.

Hi – I’ve just noticed that when you search for something within the blog, on an iphone – posts with images don’t display very well.
Basically the text appears in a tiny column to the left of the picture. Can this be fixed with a bit of CSS?

I have kept it always collapsed for now but the main logo is still inside the menu. I want to show it as soon as the user lands.
Maybe you can rotate the logo so that it fits on the collapsed bar. Or just use the option to have the menu always opened.

That probably has to do with the import via XML that you have performed. You can recreate the non-deprecatedd accordion element using Visual Composer anyway.

Okay. Final Query, if I can replace VC Addons and also run the website with the left menu always collapsed, will it be possible for the left menu to stay open when I select a page?
I do not see that happening in the samba theme put up on pirenko website. The Menu always collapses back.
If you have the menu collapsed by default when it opens the content shifts to the right and goes offscreen. After this when you click on a link the menu needs to collapse again to ensure that you don’t have any part of the page offscreen. Thanks!
