Are there any improvements on AVADA 5.0 for the Mega menu?
Hi there
For the Avada 5.0 update we did not focus on the mega menu itself, however, what particular improvements will you be referring to? Let us know, or email your suggestions to support@theme-fusion.com and title your email > ‘Feature Request’

Hi, i have about 5 website, how many website that the license can be use?
Hi there
According to Envato’s licensing rules and regulations -> https://themeforest.net/licenses/terms/regular – you need a license per domain install of the theme. In your case, you will need 5 licenses, one for each domain install of Avada
We will be delighted for you to join the largest theme community out there
Thank you, MB
Hello, I’ve already buy your theme. It’s Great! but, how to insert the license?? I cant install pre-built template.
Thank you
Hello!
You need to only register a token.
Check out the “Product Registation tab” ocated at Avada > Product Registration” in the backend.
Here is a doc post to show you how: https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/getting-started/how-to-register-your-purchase/
This is the main part to look at: http://d.pr/i/69bl

Hello, can i Remove dropdown function? I want my menu to have Categories with sub-categories, but I don’t want to have dropdown categories, can it be done, can I switch of the dropdown function?
Hello @antonioss1
How are you supposed to show those categories and sub categories if you are not going enable the drop down menu items? I am not entirely sure about your query here and perhaps you are looking to achieve something else.
In this case we request you to please open a new ticket with us and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Hi, I mean when you click on Categories at the Navigation Menu to open new page with Subcategories. Is it possible?
Can you show us a screenshot of this? From what it sounds like you need a dropdown menu to do that, so there is something we are not understanding, sorry! If we can see a visual on what you mean it will help.
Thanks!
I don’t see option to attach screenshot, where i can send you that?
Hey Antonioss1
In that case you can actually make a separate menu for your category pages only with the sub categories for each menu and assign it via Fusion Options > Header > Main Menu.
However you will still need other menu items to go back and forth those pages so i am not sure about this, You can use a online screenshot sharing tool and provide us with the link to the image here.
Thanks
Ammar
Hey @Antonioss1
Definitely possible, you can add category pages to menus and then you can use product category shortcode inside those pages
Cheers.

Hello I bought the Avada theme and installed it on localhost first. After that i tried to install Classic Demo but when I installed it (I did it 3 times) this happens: http://petya-talks.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/avada-problem.jpg
What i did wrong or what should I do?
Only Header and Footer are how it should be
Your screen shot shows that you do not have fusion core or fusion builder (or both) plugins installed.
In your WP admin area, go to Avada > Plugins and install/activate both of those plugins.
You will see something like this on that page: http://d.pr/i/3akP
If the issue persists, please signup at our support center and submit a new ticket. Include all the details about the issue, your site URL and version of Avada. Hello, I run the shortcode migration and now it looks OK
Thanks
Fantastic, thank you!
Hello,
first of all thank you very much the theme is awesome. I installed “Avada Landing – Product Page” and in the homepage I have a container with 2 columns and in these columns I have one button that I would like to align to the bottom. I found how to enable “center the content” but nothing about the bottom. Any idea?
Thanks
Hello @MikeWeb.
We are glad to hear that you liked our product and we are looking to make it even better in future, regarding your query on the button alignment to the very bottom of column, this will require you to use a bit of custom CSS and assign a top margin to your button shortcode.
If you need further assistance regarding this, please do open a new ticket and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Hi Thanks you are right. I used the token code not the purchase code…. Sorry!
Hello @MikeWeb.
Glad to hear that you have worked this out

hello pre-sale question
does the themes have header builder or footer builder? so that we can decide how much column to add integrate with VC plugin
second. I want to do like this concept, http://i.imgur.com/0xnExj0.jpg .. can you show me any demo like this?
Hello @Dilden.
We have 6 header layouts for our theme that you can select from via our Theme Options > Header Tab and content of each header layout can be changed depending on the capabilities of header, they are unique for each.
Regarding Footer we have a copyright and widget area, you can have upto 6 columns in widget area and can place anything there including our shortcodes.
That layout you provided can be made pretty easily, however our header area stays in the boxed limit and you will require a bit of custom CSS to reduce it further.
We will be delighted to welcome you in this Amazing community!
Thanks

Hello,
Just to let you know, the new Fusion Builder is not compatible with the WP Toolset Plugins. I get a Javascript error. It was working fine until I updated to the latest version of Avada. I have to deactivate the Fusion Builder when trying to create CRED Forms. Can you please take a note of this and have it looked at? Thanks
Hey @chaseisley!
Hmm, we do have an item on our developers list regarding this plugin, but it’s still under investigation. I believe the issue you’re experiencing is different to the one we currently have on record. I’ll update the item with some additional notes, but we may need to login to your site to debug this one effectively.

Hello Avada team!
I purchased Avada to get my feet wet with Wordpress and for starters I am building an ecommerce that’ll sell accessories for men. I have the following queries.
1. Is Avada completely adapted for Russian? What I mean by completely is, is the theme Russianized so that the site can be built in Russian and the frontend user/site visitor will see everything from top to bottom and throughout the website in Russian?
2. If so, can you give me or link me to where I can find a complete walk-through for Russianizing Avada?
3. Would you share some examples of amazing ecommerce sites known to you that are online currently? I know you have a repository of showcase sites, but while I think they’re quite good, I believe there are truly amazing ecommerce or other sites built with your amazing theme.
4. How can I optimize the load speed?
I would request that you answer my queries here as it will be useful for other Avada lovers that could have similar questions.
Thanks?
Haha, I meant to put an exclamation mark after thanks lol
Hey @dan4o!
1 & 2. Avada is ready to be translated into Russian. The theme and included plugins come with .pot files that can be used to translate all of the strings from English to Russian. The process is the same for all languages and the steps can be found in this article of our documentation:
https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/translations/
3. Hmm, this is a tough one. We do curate a few good examples of sites that use Avada on our showcase page, but we don’t have a larger list of all the websites that use Avada and which ones are ecommerce. We have a few ecommerce demo’s that show of Avada’s features in a ecommerce style website that might be a good point of reference:
https://avada.theme-fusion.com/classic-shop/
https://avada.theme-fusion.com/modern-shop/
4. Content is the biggest factor when it comes to page load time. If you keep your content and images as optimized as possible, as well as use a caching plugin (such as W3TC), your site should tick most of the optimzation boxes.
As this comments section is intended for pre-sale questions, if you have any further questions about using the Avada theme, please head on over to our support center to submit a ticket. A member of our team will be assigned and respond as soon as possible.

Hi again,
Thanks for the answers. I have a few more.
1. What is the Child theme that comes bundled with Avada and what is its purpose? I know the general use for child themes but would like to know the purpose it serves in Avada.
2. As I said I am working on crafting an ecom site and for that I created a child theme off of Avada using Child themify immediately after uploading Avada on to WP. Now I transferred both mo and po files to languages folder within the parent Avada languages folder and into the child theme folder that I created. I did this after I created the child theme. Did I do this wrong because I feel like I did it wrong and I need to first put the ru-mo and ru-po files into parent folders and then create a child theme?
3. The child theme folder has only two files in it while parent Avada is full of different files. Is this normal or is there a proper way of childifiying themes instead of using 3rd-party plugins? If so, how do I do it?
4. When editing column options with Fusion builder there are fractional options from 1/1 to 1/6. How do I get 5/6 centered in the middle as the only option would be to have two 1/12s on both sides but the smallest fraction available is 1/6? Is there a way to tweak this without messing with the code?
5. I am using the 4.0.x version of Avada but apparently 5.0 is out now. Do I absolutely have to upload a newer version of Avada every time an update comes out or am I good with an older version? If I can still keep using an older version when a new one is out what are the possible consequences of not updating my website with the latest version? And say if I already have a live website online and an update comes out, in case if I absolutely have to update every time, how do I update it?
6. If I’m not wrong Woocommerce comes integrated with Avada. Do I need to translate it to Russian separately within its own file (put the mo and po in them) or does is do it automatically once I translate Avada parent/child?
That’s it for now. Don’t get me wrong I like Avada a lot even though you might get a meh vibe out of my questions. I just wanna do what I am doing right and it is a steep learning curve for me so a little frustrated a times even though I know what a huge relief ready-made themes like Avada are for the non-techies like myself.
Cheers guys and keep being awesome. Please do respond.
Dan4o
Hello Dan4o
1. A child theme is intended to use when you are looking to make custom PHP edits inside the theme files, so in future when your theme updates to its latest version those edits / customizations are not lost, sometimes however if there are major code changes in themes you need to redo the child theme files as well depending on the nature of your edits.
More info about child theme can be read here : https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/special-features/avada-child-theme/
2. Doesn’t matter if you are using a child theme or parent theme, the location for translation files will always be wp-content / languages / themes folder and nowhere else. You are not putting them in right place. We have complete documentation on where to store the translation files.
More info about translation files storage : https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/translations/storing-translation-files/
3. Yes, that is the correct in child theme cases, it only needs a style.css and functions.php file of its own and the rest of your templates will directly be loaded from the parent theme, in case you need to edit any template then it should also be placed inside the child theme folder.
To learn more about child themes please read this WP codex article here : https://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes
4. Its not possible to do so because our theme is based on 6 column layout grid, you have to either use a 2/3 column in center or use custom CSS instead.
5. It is always better to update to our latest version and stay updated actually, due to the changes being made overall in WordPress core and different plugins, if you stay on an older version for a long period of time some compatibility issues might occur. However our Update method is pretty smooth and all you need to do is register to our Auto Updates using this article below, then you should be able to update any live site using 1 simple click.
How to register for Auto Updates post 5.0 : https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/getting-started/how-to-register-your-purchase/
How to register for Auto Updates Pre 5.0 : https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/getting-started/register-purchase-avada-version-4-0-3-lower/
6. Some strings needs to be translated for WooCommerce separately, however most of them are already a part of our theme po files and should be translated.
Not a problem at all, we hope that you enjoy the product and we are always here to help, However the Themeforest comments section is meant only for pre-sale questions and generalities, we are not able to provide support here. Hi there, Looking at your wp theme. This Woocommerce I do not use or like I use ECWID for my eCommerce functionality. Firstly can I remove this Woocommerce plugin and use the ECWID plugin instead. If I remove the Woocommerce plugin from this theme will it cause me problems in the theme by not working, many thanks.
Hey @bigbert!
Avada is integrated with the WooCommerce plugin for the ecommerce functionality. While you’re more than welcome to simply not install the WooCommerce plugin, we haven’t tested the ECWID plugin with Avada, so we’re not able to guarantee that it will work with our theme out of the box. We currently don’t provide the same integrated for that plugin as we do for WooCommerce.
Most popular plugins work well with Avada out of the box, we just haven’t done any official testing of that specific plugin.
I hope we get to see you join the ever-growign Avada community!
Thanks!

I love the image “Lift Up” affect… I just wish that it worked on all images and fusion short code… like blogs, woocommerce. The way it works now is that if you chose to use that affect it’s only available on certain things like recent posts. I’d love to see “Lift Up” implemented across all of Avada.
Hey @toddoddbot!
If this is a feature you would like to see added to a future version of Avada, please take the time to email your suggestion through to support@theme-fusion.com with “Avada Suggestion” in the title so that it can be reviewed by our development team? We’ll then be able to see if this is something we can work into a future version.
Thanks!

You guys really need to check your theme upgrades. After importing demos page layouts, i hit save and URL keeps rewriting itself to template. After saving and changing page URL, it will always revert back to template page URL. This is after applying upgrade to 5.0.2 and all patches.

theme update went smooth, i imported a demo age template for first time in this case to a specific page….other pages work great… its when I imported a demo page this occurred. Its rewriting page URL and Page meta data to your template settings. No matter if I change it, it saves, then when i make edits and hit save it goes back to your template settings. I have video showing it.

Hi, I upgraded from 3.9.1 to 5.0.2 and now the site is completely messed up. The logo has changed to the Avada logo and it seems I’ve lost all my shortcode settings. I have tried manually retriggering the conversion again ‘Rerun shortcode Migration from version 3.8.5 to version 5.0 manually.’, but this has’nt helped. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have looked on forums and a lot of people have this problem and say it’s not fixable. This is massively disappointing and could cost me a lot of time an effort to get things back to normal, so if anyone can help?
And I can’t raise a ticket as my support has expired, so I was just hoping for a bit of guidance before I look into other options.
Hi there
Firstly to clarify, Envato introduced paid support back in September 2015, we as theme authors had zero control or influence over this initiative. In fact, in response to paid support by Envato, we (ThemeFusion) decided to Grandfather in any customer that purchased Avada prior to the 1st of September 2015, for hands on support without the need to renew/extend support for that license. Please see more info here -> http://bit.ly/1SwDKpe
Now, regarding updating to Avada 5.0+ and the migration process, this does not even touch your theme settings. If you have issues with that is most likely the update instructions were followed 100%. It is imperative that the update instructions be followed with out deviation to ensure the process runs smoothly.
We have thousands of Avada customers that have updated without any issues. Please check and make sure that you followed these update instructions very carefully, this is very important to ensure you don’t experience any issues

Hi, thanks very much for taking the time to get back to me. I can assure you I did follow the upgrade instructions very, very carefully, which is why I was surprised when this happened. Anyway. I have sent a support ticket so hopefully we can resolve this soon. I appreciate you allowing me to do this. And I should add, it’s a great theme, and generally speaking I have no problems with it, so perhaps it’s just a one off with this new version. Thanks, Giles
