OK Just spent an hour with Hostgator. Jupiter is so so big there are problems with the compatibility.
IF YOU have this problem with the MAX EXECUTION TIME … The only solution is to move to another hosting company. I am told that Hostmoster will let you up the setting from 30 to 60. Hostgator will not even though you can change it in the C-Panel the change is negated in their system.
For the other errors VARS and MENU the fix that the senior tech taught me today is to go into the C-Panel File Manager and In the main home area at the bottom you will find the “php.ini” file. Activate the edit feature for this file and about a quarter way down is a setting for the – “Maximum Input Vars: 1000”. Change the number from 1000 to 4000.
NEXT: Open the home folder and select the “public_html” folder. NEXT: Activate the edit feature for the .htaccess file.
There isn’t much code in this file so the change is pretty easy. At the bottom under the ”# END WordPress” code paste in the code below WITH ONE IMPORTANT CHANGE. you must change that word NAME YOU SEE IN THIS CODE to the name that belongs to your individual panel (for example: at the very top left of the file list on the left side, my home path ends in “khitch”. So, I would change the word “NAME” to “khitch” ... I put an example below as well.
After these changes are made, the error of vars and menus should disappear. Good luck!

You are welcome … I love Jupiter and really would like for you and other developers to talk to Hostgator. I have spoken to a 5 or 6 senior techs and sent in requests to their management. They truly need to change their settings from 30 to 60 … as this is an issue with the installation and perhaps the functionality of the template. I do not know how many other hosting groups have the same restrictions, but it does need to be address as theme such as Jupiter continue to be developed. Thanks so much, JKS

Yes, sure. The only thing you need is to regenerate the registration API key from your Artbees Dashboard and then register the theme on the new domain.

It’s not theme related, it’s just how you deal with WordPress and htaccess rules. I believe you need to do a research about the URL rewriting rules using htaccess.

Hi. In latest jupiter I cannot see layer slider installed. In Giovendi template demo for jupiter though it seems you are using it. Can you inform me how to achieve the same demo as giovendi? Can I download layer slider? Is it NOT included? Thanks in advance.

hi. Again & again… really the best theme for all designs ! Just a little bug (?) in VC, it’s impossible to move “CustomBox” element from one column to another. Firefox, chrome, etc… nothing.

HiI guys . This warning is is coming up all the time. Unfortunately, Hostgator will not allow 60 in their shared hosting and I have too many clients on Jupiter to move 50 clients to another server. Plus, many have paid in advance, some a couple years. The sites are all working well, but it bothers us this continual error message.
Now there is a new error message and none of their menus are at all large, no one one over 20 menu items, but the error is saying things like the one before. There are no old menus either… on the final one. I just don’t understand what this is.
Because it is affecting all of my clients, I am coming here instead of submitting 50 tickets.
1ST ERROR MESSAGE: Maximum Execution Time: 30 seconds, max_execution_time should be at least 60 seconds. Maximum Input Vars: 1000, max_input_vars should be at least 4000. Increasing Maximum Input Vars Dismiss this notice.Dismiss this notice.

I have read these instructions before.
And there is no way I can fix the 30 to 60.. some of the sites are almost 2 years old. I am very frustrated. Submitting tickets will not help me. The document you sent does not address the menu error.

The layerslider for Thor Template wasn’t included in my download files. Please send me a link to download the demo slides.
Also the menu “hamburger” button opens up a window with logo only. No menu items. I made sure that the pages were in the menu and the homepage was assigned that menu. Still nothing.

Thanks for the response, but the dropbox file is corrupt. I downloaded it several times and it won’t unzip and doesn’t work to import that zip to LayerSlider.
All the other demo Sliders zip files work fine for me. Can you please upload a new file for the Thor Template LayerSlider?

Jupiter is a theme, so you would probably need a third party plugin for shaping your thoughts. However, if you know WordPress enough, maybe the private posts are good for you in this situation.

Hi there, I’ve updated the theme and visual composer but the background color of my pages has changed to #FFFFFF and it should be #F3F3F5. This is set under Theme Options / Styling / Backgrounds. In blog posts it is fine (#F3F3F5) but on generated pages like Woo product pages and category pages this is a problem.
Jupiter does not play nice with Paid Memberships Pro. There is some sort of a caching problem for logged in en logged out members. It renders the css just for one of them. After clearing theme caches it renders the first to visit a page and the others see it messed up. This is a problem from before the update but is still there.

Symbols like these → (see arrow) are not displayed like they should. This is a problem from before the update but is still there only in Chrome as far as I can tell.

The woocommerce archive page for categories does not display the sidebar on the right, it pushes it to the bottom, but displays correctly on the the product page.

Guys and Gals of artbees, You reallly need a better selection of example sites/templates for this there than what you have. Most businesses are not very imaginative and need help with ideas of layouts that make sense. What you have is very plain and ordinary, lacking Pages and definitely lacking layouts that works for real businesses. Jupiter is a great native product, but really needs better templates. Please.

I am using last version of visual composer and also of Jupiter theme + wp types updated
I installed all twice using your advices.
Visual Composer is not saving anything on anymore using Wp-types (from WPML) . I can change things in “classic mode”, but when I go in “backend mode” the code is not changing…
Any news on this please?
