Nightmare trying to update 7 months after purchase!!! Grrr. Invalid download location says to “refresh the download session”, which we do repeatedly. Next error says we downloaded it too much! We didn’t even download it once. No help. Nightmare flaws in version 4xxx, can’t upgrade to version 5, can’t get site live. can’t get help from envato. Awful!

Just updated to 5.0.4, fusion core 3.0.4 and fusion builder 1.0.4. I think there might be an error with the button shortcode. I get a ‘Content Error – your page could not be converted…’ when I switch from default editor to use fusion builder on a page or post. Narrowed it down to the custom color part that seems to fail. Have tried adding a single custom coloured button but can’t get this to display in fusion builder once you’ve switched between the editors. The code itself seems to work i.e. the custom colours are coming through on the web page, but it won’t display in the fusion builder, and therefore any page alterations then need to be down in the default editor with all the shortcodes displayed.

This issue was already fixed in our older versions and should not happen on 5.0.4 at all, Can you please make sure that you do not have a cache plugin in action for this or if somehow the update didn’t go thru with old files being used.
Please try and install a fresh copy of theme using FTP method by completely deleting the older one.

The complete FTP refresh didn’t work, but applied patch #415022 and it now works great! This is a brilliant theme and the new fusion builder is fantastic – the library and the new way to build saves significant time and is very intuitive – great work on such a massive change.

I’ve updated from version 3x I believe, to version 5. Updated all required plugins. Updated WP. Now when editing, instead of seeing a graphical interface I only see HTML code: https://i.gyazo.com/88eaa32655bcfb176d1dd7cc1c5ac31f.png

That looks like that either your Fusion Builder is not Installed / Activated. If its activated please go to Fusion Builder > Settings and make sure its enable from there for each of the custom post types.

SERIOUS ISSUE
I just updated to 5.04. After making changes to a page and hitting “update” the page reloads, everything is now greyed out – the fusion builder seems to hang up the system. I have to reload the backend and quickly click somewhere else to avoid the hanging. I mad a backup of the page beforehand, and it doesn’t have the problem. The change i made, IS however reflected on the website. But I cant make any more changes due to the fusion builder crash. I have tried both Safari and Google Chrome. This is a serious problem – someone else have posted a note on the Avada support forum – so I’m not the only one.
All plugins are updated.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?

This should not happen at all for you, please make sure that none of your 3rd party plugin is causing this issue by disabling them one by one also please make sure your system status limits are all good as per this doc post : https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/special-features/system-status/

Limits are okay. Tried disabling plugins. No effect. Strange thing is, that it’s only this one page that causes the problems. Before I edit my home-page (one-page setup) i make a backup/copy of this page. The backed-up page seems to work just fine in the editor. It has the EXACT same content. But as soon as i hit “update” it all goes mad. I have converted all short codes using the Avada System Status-thing .

That is the default behaviour of how Grid layout works, this will happen if you have inconsistent length for the blog titles and that is exactly the case here for your 2nd post item causing the 5th one below it to go down.

Hi there, I have an important pre sales question. Your theme is my absolute favorite. But I need my team members to have a video on their own page. Would that be feasible using the Portfolio page instead? Each of my Project would be a Staff Member..if so, only problem would be I would need to replace the “Copyright” and “Project URL” strings to something different, can I do that? (I’m not a developer)

Of course that is possible, we have a default fusion option field for embedded video where you can embed either YouTube or Vimeo video as well as have shortcode elements for both that you can use to put a video anywhere on any page.
Also, those hard coded strings you mentioned can be easily changed to something else by following the translation technique, A lot our users change such strings depending on their requirements.

Hello ThemeFusion. I have a suggestion: Add a contact/enquiry button next to the Addtocart in product page with enable/disable function on back panel. Clicking on the button will display a lightbox with a contact-form-7 form. I’ve used a plugin for that here http://www.ecotec-uy.com/catalogo/galcon-9001-bt/, but I’d rather have it as a built-in feature. Thanks!

I have not been asking for help, as I know how to use the theme. But I have one problem. With facebook like box. The plugin included in the theme, does not work, and when I add other working facebook box plugins, like https://pl.wordpress.org/plugins/cardoza-facebook-like-box/screenshots/ or other, the facebook box just does not show up. We want it to show up in the footer widget, but it just does not appear. with some plugins when I hoover over the area where the box should appear, it behaves as if there was something, but it is not visible. You are on a very older version of theme that is 3.8.6.1 and there was a JS change in core WordPress that broke a number of JS related features and elements in theme, i can see the same error in console for you right now. We will need to update to our latest version 5.0.4 in this case please.

Thank you for your kind and informative letter. I have updated my theme to the new version, and remove the previous Avada version from the serwer. However, the site looks bad now, I think it is due to the new Fusion builder not updated yet. I try to add the theme purchase number into the product registration field on my website ( i am adding the purchase code, but I keep getting the note “Invalid token, or corresponding Envato account does not have Avada purchased.”

The token is not needed for Fusion Builder.
Just to go Avada > Plugins and update Fusion Core plugin first (if it’s not already), then activate and install Fusion Builder.
The token key is only required for Layer Slider, Revolution Slider and Avada demos. For which you can get by following this help file: https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/getting-started/how-to-register-your-purchase/

Thank you, I did what you said, updated the Fusion builder, and the website works well. I just have two questions: How to remove the horizontal line from the navigation element (there is one about the currently open pag, small line in colour), how to remove the line above the upper navigation, with contact details, on our website it is blue, the the third question: on our home page there is a line of text just below the slider. Which is in different font than the rest of the site. The site uses Arial. How to change the font of this line? (it relates to all this kind of line across the site)

That could be a different font setting, each type of heading it tied to a different heading size, so check the typography options in theme options > typography > headings to see.

Currently there is not an option to hide the slider on mobile, unless you are on Avada 5.0+ and use our new visibility system: https://avada.theme-fusion.com/mobile-visibility-system/
Instead, what you can do is simply set a fallback image on that page that you are using. Edit the page, and look in the fusion page options area, there is a fallback image field, insert an image and it will show on mobile instead of the slider.

That is a JS error and if you are getting that it will be more than likely that you are still running Avada 4.0 or lower. I will suggest that you check your installation and update to the latest version to ensure that you are up to date and compliant. Right now the latest version of Avada is version 5.0.4

Firstly, there is no Avada version 4.3 – Right now we are at Avada 5.0.3. Avada 4.0.3 was released back in June 2016. The 4 series incremental updates where -> 4.0 / 4.0.1 / 4.0.2 / 4.0.3
Every couple of months you do the same thing here and elsewhere, with no reason other than to create false statements and negativity. We have repeatedly asked you to create a support ticket if you need assistance, but each time you have refused to do so.
With that said, as with each reply we have provided regarding this, we have stated very clearly that the update instructions need to be followed carefully

You do (!!!!) give other people support here in the comments. So please dont tell us that you dont support here.And by the way: Why does your Update infects the styling anyway???? We run a child-theme and if Avada was coded correct, things like this should not happen at all.
This is getting tiring, why will you not open a support ticket?
As we have explained many times before, any support given here in comments is because it is minor and something we can quickly answer.
Your situation is not, there is something that was not followed, a corrupt update, or you are maybe using a child theme, or it could be any other number of things but the bottom line is we know that it works, more than half of our user base is on v5+ and if there is something wrong with you updating to it, we need to be able to diagnose it first hand and login.
This is why we need have hands on support, we can get login info, diagnose the situation, troubleshoot it, see it first hand and actually offer you a solution. Is that not what you want?
