Anyway, install the theme and then install that demo under Appearance>One-click install. Then you apply the theme options under Appearance>Theme Options>Import/Export (the skins are located on the theme Documentation folder).

Hi Pirenko just purchased Hook. I want to set up Services but can’t find them in Widges and whereever. I want to have a look as in landing page way down in the contact area.I want to link from colums (with an icon and description) like that to pages in my website second:I have enterred the recent post widget into my static page but can’t find any way to adjust the look. It would be good enaugh to have there already somthing like three boxes similar to the “standard ” masonary look on the blog page. third how have you enterred maps? (as in http://www.pirenko-themes.com/hook/business/ ) just with a textfield or with an widget. Haven’t found something like that yet in the quick installs yet…. Where are the icons Hidden? not through Media?

I’m working on a new website for a dance agency and have a problem with viewing videos on mobile devices (iPad, Mobile Phone). On the desktop and Laptop everything is fine. It is intended to be like that, because HTML5 video support on mobile devices is still not perfect. So, on mobile devices you will see a fallback image that you can set up near the video options.
If you still want to play the video on mobile you can always stream from YouTube or Vimeo. Send us a private message if you need help setting this up.

There is still another small problem … In the Theme Options / Footer Section / Copyright Area / you can not use the text with HTML Attributes (for a link).

Probably your hosting company is blocking sending emails via the wp_mail function. You should get in touch with them to remove this restriction.
You can also try and install the free plugin Contact Form 7 that has alternative ways to send emails.

Is it possible to make a photo “on click” pop up as a Vimeo video?
I want to have several photos, like a gallery, and when I click on them, it pop up a lightbox video.

You can use the portfolio items for that. Just make sure that on each portfolio item you select the option “Skip featured image on single page and lightbox” and that you add your video on the 2nd media slot. These 2 options are located under the portfolio item content.

The Stylish Showcase homepage demo features a video in the middle (Daylight Dream); however, the 1-click install features only sunflowers. How do we make it playback a video instead? What should be the format, file size and dimensions of the video? Can it be hosted elsewhere like Youtube or must it be uploaded to Media.

If you want to add a video background to that row you need to edit the row properties using the page builder that is included with the theme. On the “Background type” option select video and then upload the video to the media library.

I just purchased the Hook Theme, downloaded it, unzipped the compressed folder and installed the theme following the step in your helpful video-tutorial. Now when I gonna activate the One-click install feature it just does NOT appear in the wordpress menu. But also when I gonna install the Required Plugins (Hook Framework, WPBakery Visual Composer, Envato Market – Useful to keep the theme updated) it fails and give the message “Download failed. Unauthorized. Plugin not activated. A higher version of Hook Framework is needed for this theme. Please update the plugin.” How is that possible? Does the downloaded zip not updated?

That issue is related with rows on which the columns have the height forced to 100%. On the demo that you have shared the screenshot I added a vertical spaced that is only visible on mobile mode. I don’t know your content so I can’t comment with more detail.

1. How can I modify the existing CSS, main.css appears to be minified and it’s pretty hard to get to know the exact class to edit.

Here are our comments:
1) The easiest way to add some CSS is adding it under Appearance>Theme Options>Custom Scripts>Custom CSS. If you need to add a lot of CSS then we suggest that you use the child theme and add it to the style.css file;
2) We’re using Codekit to compile it, but you can read more about that here http://sass-lang.com/install .
We would suggest that you don’t make this type of edit, because you will probably have trouble when you update the theme;

I know music stops when I rolloever other image but it would be usefull to ad for example in menu mute button for users that dont want any music at all on my page?

You have the option to mute the videos on the portfolio page (or latest portfolio element). This will make the videos don’t play any sound at all. Isn’t this what you need?

repiled in mail. I meant some button that mute it and other voices on request of viewer. I think this is very important since Everyone would like to let people view video on main page with music but sometimes people don;t like to so they should have option to mute theme voices.
