I’m having major problems with the responsiveness of this theme. It doesn’t show my individual posts on mobile devices. Although the frontpage loads ok, the top menu and header area do not load on mobile devices. And, to clarify, this has nothing to do with the mobile theme – I deactivated it (and even when I try to use it – the same problem happens.) It seems the theme is having problems interacting with the word press content on mobile devices. Are you sure there are no bugs related to the responsiveness of this theme?

We are absolutely sure there is no issue with responsiveness. Please inspect our live demo here: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/ The demo is responsive and it works properly. We test our theme thoroughly and there is no issue with responsiveness coming from the theme. If it will not work on your end, there is something else affecting the responsiveness. Please disable all plugins except visual composer. clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then test responsiveness again. I am letting you know about my experience with your theme. It’s up to you to take it seriousy or not to. I spent two days and nights banging my head against the wall looking for a solution, going through every nook and cranny of the theme… even went into the code (where I think I saw some missing closing-divs.)
I reached out to you guys multiple times, on here, on YouTube, and in another thread. The response I got was along the same lines of what you said (which did not work), and the person did not bother to take the time to read and understand my issues. And, instead just regurgitated the same response I see all over this support page.
Through my own research, I found the solution. And, here it is for your use. From what I see of the questions on this support page and on YouTube, I’m not the only one who has issues with the responsiveness of this theme.
The WP Super Cache plugin blocks the responsiveness, because it doesn’t convert to mobile cache or something like that.
To solve the problem, I downloaded the WPTouch plugin, and followed the installation instructions.

You received the same answer because it is me who answered there as well. I have checked your site and your site is broken. You are missing containers, you are missing headers, there is something very wrong not just with responsiveness. Please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin and ftp access so we can investigate this issue. If you find that you cannot use the theme on your site we will be able to provide a refund if you make a request for it.

It’s working on some computers on others it’s not. I think cache-ing is still the problem. I’m getting this message in the WP Super Cache plugin settings “Notice: PHP caching enabled but Supercache mod_rewrite rules detected. Cached files will be served using those rules. If your site is working ok, please ignore this message. Otherwise, you can edit the .htaccess file in the root of your install and remove the SuperCache rules. “

Ok. I understand – Anyways, I think I’ve figured it out. Since, we’ve started here – let’s just finish it here – it may be helpful to future users. To fix the problem – I noticed that when I logged into wordpress, everything worked just fine. So, under the WP Super Cache settings, under “Advanced” tab, I unchecked the box for “Compress pages so they’re served more quickly to visitors. (Recommended)”, and now everything is working ok. Can u take a look again, and confirm that you see the blog contents. PS: if the refund offer is still on the table, I’ll gladly accept.

hi before i take this theme i need to know few things. 1. now we are using a diffrent thumbnail image after install this them we need to regenarate all the images again? we have 25K blog post so this is very messy task. 2. this theme is 100% error free? 3. when someone will upload any image this theme will resize and create lots of other image from it? i mean diffrent size of same images? or it will work on fly without create diffrent size images?

1.Yes, after you install ANY new theme you should regenerate thumbs as themes use custom thumb sizes and they do not match with one another.
2.Our theme is error free, as we cannot provide a theme with errors to our clients. Every theme update is carefully tested before release.
3 Our theme will create different thumbs for the image. It depends on the thumbs you select in the theme panel. There is a section in the theme panel where you can enable or disable thumbs based on your preference, but there is no “on the fly” thumb creation

You can simply put a ‘space’ in the custom title box if you do not want to have any titles. This applies for the border title. If it’s the white box you are using, then you will have to remove it with css. Add this code in the theme panel-> custom css box:
.td_block_image_box .td-custom-title{
display:none;
}
You can use custom classes as well to target individual image box elements.

Sorry but the mobile container will not show 2 posts in a single line as there is not enough space. Only tablets provide enough space for 2 columns. The mobile version will always be 1 column. There is however a block that will display 2 posts on a single column but you can only use it in the standard responsive version of the theme. Hello, I just want to ask about facebook video height. Is it possible to change the default height? For example in this post http://www.clanocky.sk/2016/11/20/rychly-navod-chutnu-veceru/ the entire video is not displayed. I try to change the height in html iframe code but without result.

Unfortunately the portrait videos will not position properly when added as a featured video. We will look into this and hopefully we will find a solution for future updates. Please try standard ‘wide’ videos, not portrait ones for the moment. Sorry for the inconvenience.

You can add a wide video if it’s uploaded on facebook as a landscape video. A normal video is filmed widescreen. Check YouTube…all of the videos there are wide, not portrait or they have a black border around them making the overall video container ‘wide’. Facebook allows portrait videos but it does not add the black border you can see on other networks. You will have to stay away from implementing portrait videos as much as you can. How to setup it to be 100% width?

Our theme can only show the header and footer in 100% width. The main content area is fixed to 1068 px. If the header and footer are not full width it means you have a background image or color set to your site. Please read this guide: http://forum.tagdiv.com/background-introduction/

Unfortunately our theme was built in such a way that it;s very difficult to implement a full width style. but we did not say we will not get it done. We do have it on our list for future updates but someone has to decide what gets implemented. We have lots of requests and we have to pick very carefully what we add to our theme. Maybe in a future version we will be able to provide it, but for now there is no such plan.

Before purchasing what demo would be great for gaming news the video or default?

The correct answer is: The one you like best. A demo only changes the style of the theme, but it does not change the functionality. It is a sort of skin for the theme. The theme will still provide all of the features and functionality on all demos only it will have a different look and feel to it depending on your choice. In the end that depends on your preference.

That’s great. I like the video demo. So I would be able to edit it to have it not only display videos on front page but also anything I place. All demos are just a faster way and example of how to make your site look like that type of demo correct?

Yes, the video theme will show all content, not just videos. All demos are a faster way of doing it and also have a few styling elements added to them that you normally would only be able to add through coding. The pictures are still there only you have a javascript error that is preventing the theme from displaying them properly. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then test again. Plugin conflicts are the number 1 reason for the images not displaying properly. Sorry but unfortunately the related articles element does not have any extra settings besides the ones available in the theme panel. There is no such option in our theme to only sort a particular year span.

Do you have any plans to add an obituary section?
Also it would be nice to have post reaction polls where they would link to menu items that would show the stories identified by poll questions. For example let’s say you had 5 reaction choices for each story I.e. Hilarious, intriguing, depressing, etc to choose from and you could group all of the hilarious stories together as a menu link and so forth. The polls would show votes or percentages of readers choices for each story I have seen emojis as reactions but this would be more beneficial

I was embedding twitter tweets in my blog. Which showed up correctly on desktop but are not supported on mobile theme. On mobile its just displaying as text instead of embedded tweet. I have mobile theme plugin activated. Tried hard but nothing is working. Please help.
