Just installed the theme and going through setup. Now when I go to Theme options, it returns a blank page.

Trying to search for solutions but nothing. Please assist to fix the issue, otherwise may have to ask for a refund.

First of all thanks for using the Porto Theme.

I think you have not installed all the theme required plugins or may be your server settings is not meet with the theme’s requirements:

Optimal Server Requirements:

Server Type: Linux with cPanel ( Bluehost hosting Recommended ) PHP version = 5.4 or greater Apache = 2.2 or greater MySQL = 5.5 or greater PHP Memory Limit = 256mb PHP max_execution_time = 1o00 seconds mod_rewrite Apache module = Enabled

If you are installing through WordPress Theme section, make sure your PHP Upload File Size limit is 40MB, since the theme .zip file is around 40MB

Please make sure all above settings are correct on your server, before complaining about theme issues. You can contact your web hosting company.

If your issue not solved then please contact us through our support system so we will solve your issue.

If you want to build a Multi-Lingual site then you have to use any one Multi-language plugins available on WordPress.org in your site

OR

If you want to translate the site only in a single language then you have to translate the theme’s default languages files into your language. You can find these files inside wp-content/themes/porto/languages folder en_GB.po and .mo files.

Yeah of course,for example when we select “SEPARATOR WITH TEXT” and set setting for title “RIGHT”, its set on left in page!

Please create the Block first from Block >> Add new Block then go to and edit the category >> you find the Content Bottom field >> Paste the block slug in that field which you have created before.

Please edit your page and from page options select the sidebar menu. Or add the Porto Custom Menu widget in the sidebar which you are using on the page.

Just installed the theme and have gone through the initial set up. I’ve started making edits to fonts and colors but none of the changes are taking after I’ve saved them. Do you need to flush cache every time you make edits or something? I’ve tried compiling and that didn’t update it either.

Yes, if you are using any cache plugin then you have to flush cache every time. I suggest yu that please deactivate the cache plugin of your site during the development of the site it is easier and best way to build your site in easy and fastest way.

If your changes still not showing on the front end, then it’s the permission issue. Your server did not give permission to add / save the settings of the Theme Options. Basically, when you saved the theme options then it’s created the skin_1.css file inside the CSS folder, because of permission the theme is not able to create this file into your site. Please contact your hosting provider to change the permission to 777 or 755 of the CSS folder and all files.

Sorry, I should have posted a reply – I found that when I uploaded the files via FTP that the ownership rights weren’t applied correctly. That had to be causing the problem. It was a permissions issue.

1. The child theme is mandatory when you will make changes in the theme PHP files or add the custom CSS and you do not want to lose the customization work then the child theme is mandatory.

2. Please go to Appearance >> Theme Options >> Slider Config >> Set the settings.

3. Yes, you can change the Member page title from Appearance >> Theme Options >> Member >> Slug name

Not so much a questions but more of a request. The built in gallery is seriously lacking functionality. I did a TON of research and tried different plugins. The best BY FAR that I found was Essential Grid by Themepunch, who are the same creators of Revolution Slider which is the best. https://codecanyon.net/item/essential-grid-wordpress-plugin/7563340 Since you already integrate Revolution Slider maybe these guys could give you a deal. Having to pay $26 for something essential for nearly every website I build adds up. Thanks your theme is the BEST!
