Regarding the front end visual composer, it has been disabled since it causes certain conflicts with some scripts in our theme. You can activate it by modifying some of our code. Hi, I have a question regarding the qode slider. I use a base image with text wath an added overlay image. The base image is responsive but the overlay image is not. Am I missing something? Thanks! Jeroen

Slider is responsive and in order to cover entire container image is set to cover. This is explained within the theme documentation here http://bridge.qodeinteractive.com/documentation/8-qode-slider/8-7-tips-and-tricks/8-7-1-choosing-appropriate-image-sizes/
Regarding overlay image, user should actually use some small image, more like a pattern.

How safe is not to update about one year a theme?
i made a lot of customization’s and tired start all over do the same manipulations every time after theme updates. I want to wait last time till 11version is released and hope all my reported bugs will be fixed in this update – this makes me really happy.
also i’m thinking to buy swift security plugin, setup it and hope everything gonna work for a long time.
Please give me your suggestions, maybe there is a better way to keep all things update and secure.
PS. customization’s i made was also directly in js files and php, so it’s not about only use css overrides or child theme
Or i don’t something about child themes? i just a designer, not coder and don’t know a lot of things, but go far/deep in this to make my best in web design

1. Follow change log on this page http://bridge.qodeinteractive.com/change-log/ and if something regarding security or compatibility with WordPress or plugins used is mentioned in the change log, then it would be wise to update. One year period is very long, because opdated are released more frequently by WordPress itself and all WP plugins. We would highly suggest to update the theme and all required plugins more frequently.
2. We are not in position to give you any tip for that plug in or any other except that is highly advisable to use some security plugin and to strengthen WordPress installation as much as possible.
3. Regarding customization, users have to maintain them by themselves, and all customizations which cannot be inherited from the child theme should be stored on local PC so you can upload them easily after each theme update.

Hi Qode I’m using the theme for some time already and now have encountered an issue. I have got tabs on a page and want to anchor them. So, I placed the TAB ID as anchor link like #tab-5d0887ba-8470-2 … which only works with open tab (btw. without scrolling but just jumping to the anchor).
It won’t work for (inactive), not-opened tabs that way. How can I achieve to anchor into a (not opened) tab?

Hi Tom,
Anchoring functionality works only for menu items, and this is explained within the theme documentation http://bridge.qodeinteractive.com/documentation/4-quick-setup/4-2-header/4-2-3-assigning-menus/4-2-3-1-anchoring/ . Setting tab ID as an anchor will create jump, not scrolling, and it will only work for active tab. Only solution is to create anchor which will lead user to section where tabs are contained.

Probably some 3rd party plugin is in conflict with our ajax page transitions, so options are to disable plugins or page transitions. Page transitions can be turned off from:
1. general options Qode Options > General http://screencast.com/t/e6Ytlj3xB
2. local options (when you edit your pages) http://screencast.com/t/vymiSZ8oS8, note that these settings will overwrite global settings from Qode Options for specific page
3. Also you can turn off page transitions for specific pages by writing page URLs from Qode options > General > List of internal URLs loaded without AJAX (separated with comma) http://screencast.com/t/ZjpLeP7RR

Thank you, that makes sense.. One more question.. I have downloaded the latest bridge theme version 10.1.1 and I see it has 972 files total. I have just uploaded via FTP using Filezilla to my server and it loaded 975 files total.. Do you know why this might be? I am just checking in case I uploaded bad files…

Maybe there are more files because you have some additional files within bridge theme folder, or if FTP client just showing statistic for upload, it may be because some files failed to upload for the first time. You should revoke app access for your current instagram account, and then to login to your WordPress admin. In the same browser window, open instagram.com in a new tab, and logout from any profile you’re logged in at the moment. Then go to Qode Options -> Social, and click Reconnect button for Instagram, and it will ask you for a new account you want to login to.
If this fails, submit a ticket to https://qode.ticksy.com , and our support team will check this on your end.

There is an issue maybe bug where there is an “invisible” link at the top of the pages that takes users back to the homepage. By way of example: http://ckl.c7dserver.com/school/ if you scroll downward on the page a little then hover across the top of the page content, you will see an invisible link area that when clicked goes back to the homepage, this causes an issue of course if the tabbed content it at the top, they click on a tab and it goes back to the homepage. Please advise.

I just updated theme a few days ago and today I noticed on the slider at the top there is no longer the option to exclude the separator form the slide. And my client really uses this feature a lot and they have a separator on their slide that they don’t want there, how can I can I remove it or did this get missed on the qode slider??

Is there possibilti to add some Custom CSS to hiding submenu with some delay, not immediately?
Delay for 1 second the disappearance of a dropdown menu when the mouse is moved away, unless it is returned.

Qode slider can only be used at the top as explained within the documentation http://bridge.qodeinteractive.com/documentation/8-qode-slider/8-6-using-the-slider/8-6-3-basic-usage/ and in case that you want to add sliders to page content or footer you should use Layer Slider or Revolution Slider.

Thinking of purchasing this theme. Questions: Is it possible to view any real customer sites? Alos, when testing the speed I notice the error “Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content” which is causing the site to be quite slow to load. Is this a problem for customer sites too? Loading speed is important to me. Thanks!

Render blocking java script is normal on WordPress platforms because some scripts have to be loaded from the header, like jQuery for example. This will not any impact on your visitors. Also this can be fixed by site speed optimization and and some caching plugin.

I can’t change my Instagram account with your plugin. I tried everything, and followed your advices :

You can import another demo from Qode import option, but note that only one demo can exist at the time, and importing another demo will overwrite currently present demo so it is important to clear previous demo. Regarding the warning you’re seeing:
In your WP admin -> Qode Options -> Logo, make sure to upload your logo in all the fields there, instead of our default logos. That should resolve this.
if the warning is still on after it, you should then edit this file wp-content/themes/bridge/includes/shortcodes/shortcode-elements/slider.php , and you need to edit following part of code:

Hey guys, wondering if anyone is having issues with the Qode Instagram widget? It keeps logging out of my Instagram account, when I try and “re-connect with Instagram” I put in my login credentials, it processes and boots me back to the theme settings as if nothing happened. If I now try and click the “re-connect with Instagram” button it just refreshes the page…
Any incite would be appreciated.
