1. Not without custom modding

2. Many element in Salient allow for a mouse over with text – it depends on the application you need to use it for which would dictate which to use. The Image Gallery element with the portfolio grid style, the team member element has 4 styles, 3 of which have text mouse overs, the fancy box element adds text on top of images etc.

3. Add this into the custom css box located in your Salient Options panel:

.section-down-arrow {
  display: none!important;
}

The “lightbox only” option is an all or nothing option for the portfolio instance it’s used on, you’d need to turn it off if you need to link to external sites. However the one way you could also get around it is if you activated the “Custom Content Grid Item” for the project you wish to be external in a lightbox only setup
