I went to the website today and the home page is completely corrupted. I updated to the latest version of the theme yesterday. On turning off plugins I can see the problem is the master slider which was out dated. I downloaded the master slider zip file and extracted and uploaded via ftp after deleting the old plugin but when I activate it it shuts me out of the dashboard and gives a 500 error. Please, can you advise?
I found the problem has been caused by updating to the newest theme, reverted back to the last version to access the site again but can’t get the old version of master slider or the latest version to work on the site and the home page is completely broken without it please can you advise?
Thank you for letting us know. That’s unusual, the theme has been updated but it should work well. The 500 error is generic, do you have any log files or more descriptive error reporting?
Have you tried installing the newest version of Master Slider using the old version of the theme?
Yes it just logs out of wp admin and everything. I have just tried the free version of master slider responsive touch plugin, which didn’t break anything and I could see the files I had set up before but didn’t actually work on the front end. So I’m currently trying the pro version and will let you know if that works. Really appreciate the help thank you.

master slider responsive touch plugin breaks it too, I’ve already downloaded the latest one as part of the theme earlier that and the original one break the site and kick me out of the wp admin. I had to pay for the responsive touch plugin to test it. The whole websites ruined and it’s supposed to be taking bookings.

I’ve just realised my support has run out. Could you please tell me if updating to the latest php 7 could be causing conflicts with anything as I did that as well as update the theme and master slider to eliminate any javascript issues as I had an error warning when adding Stripe extension to Woocommerce.
I’ve just downgraded the php from 7.1 to 5.4 and all working again. I did a search for any issues and Woocommerce and Wordfence Security don’t work above PHP 5.4. Very annoying because I’d like the latest version but thought you might want to know for future reference.

Yes and Master slider even at the latest version had issues withPHP 7.1 as that just shut me out of wp admin.

I was wrong in the 1st post it was 7.1 when checked and tested downgrading. I had my head in the issue so long all day I think I’d forgotten I’d done that until I took a break for 10 mins and tried to retrace my steps!
So you can confirm that Master Slider and Woo do not work with PHP 7.1?
There were other things to be fair because all the widgets and I can’t think of the name of all the recommended widgets you use but the whole of the home page including styling menus everything disappeared. I only found a confirmed article about Woocommerce and Wordpress but it knocked out functionality in everything on the home page, feature heavy. Some of those same features like the showcase worked on internal pages but not the home page post php update.
So some plugin that features only on the home page knocks out every other home page feature on update to php 7.1 if that was isolated it may work.

Hello, I have the same problem as Brightwire one day ago. Hi, I’m having trouble importing the widget file (Bellevue-demo-widget-content.wie). I browse to the file but when I hit import, I’m getting this error message: “You must upload a .wie file generated by this plugin.”. I noticed that the .wie file is only 1kb. Maybe it did not download correctly? Please let me know how to get the widgets imported, considering this issue. Thanks!

Hello and thanks for the question. The space between the menu and the top of the page is under theme options / General / Navigation Top Margin . That will allow you to add spacing.
RE: Slider b/g – Chalet uses a Slider at the very top of the page. You can add this under WP Dash / Bellevue / Slider / Edit the slider you wish and then look for the background options. It looks like this: https://cl.ly/3c3b1T1V3R3x
Thank you. I did set the Top Navigation Margin allready at zero. but there is still to much space. does not look nice. What can i do? I the logo in the way? A deleted the logo but notting changed. A managed already to put a picture behind the slider. Slowly my site is going to look less messy. I found it in the helkpfiles, wich a allways look first.

Hello! Happy to help. The images that are included in the demo import are placeholders as we cannot provide the stock images in our import process. You will find a nice selection of Creative Commons photos inside the theme zip / under the /demo content folder and then inside the _Photos.txt file.

Does this have to use woocommerce? It seems there are some shortcomings.. For instance if a user books for 20 days, they can go into their cart and change it to 18 days, but the calendar doesn’t update. It seems like the payments are completely separate from the booking management which could get very hairy with 100+ rooms. Anyway to solve this issue?
Hello, thank you for contacting us. That’s correct. The add to cart button passes the total off to the cart. You can hide the cart options to reduce the quantity using CSS. Would that be a good fix for you? The plugin authors are working on WPBS to have better integration with WooCommerce. This is good news for people with many rooms. I buyed this Theme to build a website quicker. A build a few websites whit DreamWeaver and this goos rather well. I am not a professional and work intuitive For now a spend a lot hours to try to build the site but a am quit frustrated. Sorry for that. For example the sticky menu takes to much space and I want it to be smaller and higer. A cannot manage to put any pictures in a slider, in fact a do not understand much off the sliders at all. Your’e theme photo’s are also not on the my site I try to look it up in your helpfiles but could not find it. So now it is time to use a bit of youre time. Hello, the plugin is provided by a 3rd party so we don’t provide the markup but we do ship with some custom styling and in that styling we change the size of the calendar cels. You can reference our file which is located under bellevue/assets/css/bellevue_wpbs.css. I hope that helps

There is a new setting I believe you have to enable it for rooms. Try Settings / Duplicate Post. With the new version of Bellevue this feature is already built in.

Hello and thanks for your interest. We don’t have a option for that but you can certainly customize if you wish. We have included a child theme that you can activate and then copy the features template file over and edit as you wish. The file you want is bellevue/templates/meta-featured.php , once the child theme is installed, copy that file over to the child theme folder /templates if one does not exist, create one. Then you can edit as you wish and make 3, 4, 5 columns.

Hello, happy to help. The child theme is installed just like the parent theme, you can upload and install it via the zip download from themeforest. Then you copy over the template file from the parent into the child /template folder.
