[Menu Question] When placing a menu in the sidebar. It shows all the menu items, including the ones from the dropdowns. Is there a way to have it where it only shows the top level items, and the drop down is only shown for the page you are on, if it has dropdowns? The way it is now, showing all menu items, is making it too long in the side bar if you have menu with multiple dropdowns.

Hello @Artcny

That is how the custom menu widget works actually, the functionality you are looking to achieve will require some additional JS customization for you.

If you need any further assistance with it, please do open a new ticket and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thanks I think I found a way to use the side nav option that will do the trick. However, is there a way to have a side navigation template page also be 100% width?

Hello!

I’m glad to hear that will work well for you.

The side navigation layout is its own template, so it’s not possible to use the 100% width template there, unfortunately.

That being said, we’re always taking design and feature feedback from our users. You can let us know if you have any ideas by sending your email to > support@theme-fusion.com with “Avada Suggestion” in the title so that it can be reviewed.

Thank you!

Hello,

I would like to know how to use the plugin – UberMenu – WordPress Mega Menu Plugin with Avada.

I have used in the past but I am not sure how to do it with Avada 5.0.6.

Do you have a link or video to share with me?

Many thanks

Craig

Hello,

This is actually something that you would want to contact the plugin author about. Note, they do have a section in their documentation for theme integration > http://bit.ly/2hZvqDK

You can contact their support here > http://bit.ly/2iR2jai

I hope this helps!

Hi there. I’ve searched for comments about using this with a Multisite install, and I’m finding mixed responses. I have a WordPress Multisite setup with about 3500 users (public education teachers for our school district), with the subdirectory method for each blog. If I want to use this theme for each blog, would the regular license be sufficient, or would I need to purchase 3500 licenses?

Hi there

According to Envato’s licensing terms and conditions -> http://bit.ly/2bdBDwp – you would need a license per domain install of the theme. There is no multisite license that would cover this, and the licensing itself is per domain install, hat is main domain or sub domain.

This is also a fairly unique case in terms of user setup and licensing requirements and I think that it would require Envato to figure out a solution in terms of a possible bulk discount. Let me suggest that you send your requirements to info@theme-fusion.com and mark it ATT: Luke – from that point we can work with you and Envato to see feasible solutions may be possible

Thank you, MB

Hi, is there a reason why the Fusion Slider isn’t responsive?

I haven’t used that before but trying one of the demos where the content below scrolls over it, I kind of like it. However I notice it doesn’t scale properly on mobile which reduces it’s usefulness as the images I would have used are basically cut off on the right and it really hasn’t scaled the rest of it properly.

I just checked the demos on your site like Modern Shop and Photography which use Fusion and the same thing occurs. Is this a limitation of that slider?

Hello @Shaolin2

That is actually not a limitation on slider end but basically how the background images (Fusion Slides have BG images) work, the images are set to cover position so they will try and cover the entire area of your device size with keeping the aspect ratio of image true, this results into some clipping / cropping on different devices depending on the aspect ratio of image as well as the device resolution.

However we have also ship Revolution Slider with our theme that has advanced options for custom grids on mobile that you can use to create a slider as per your requirement.

Hope that was helpful, if you need any further assistance please do open a ticket and we will love to assist you with it.

Hi Ammar,

Nah, I’m familiar with Revolution slider (have it on many sites) and while I like it the effect of the Fusion slider which allows the page content below to slide over it, is what intrigues me. I haven’t figured out a way to get that to happen without that slider so I’m determined to use it!

I think I will just have to move my fella a bit more left so he doesn’t get cut off (the current Resume slider background image I replace with my artist client, and one of his painting behind him. He was in the same position on the right as your young man. Now I know he’s gonna get cut off on mobile, I’ll just move him in a bit. ;)

Curiously enough that slide does scale perfectly on one viewing size only – landscape 640px. Admittedly I’m on the wamp server and using the Responsive simulator on Firefox but that resolution did a perfect scale whereas non of the others did. Whether it would do that on a real mobile I don’t know. :)

Hello @Shaolin2

One other thing you can do actually is use media query for mobile resolution and then move the background image position as per your own requirement making the part (important) one appear on mobiles. If you need precise assistance with it you are welcome to open a new ticket and we will be glad to assist.

Hello @SixPixels.

You will have to use different instances of the shortcodes in this case, or you can simply use revolution slider to create an advanced carousel type slider using any custom post type.

[ product_page id=”xxx”] shortcode doesn’t work if you are using fusion builder, variations doesn’t appear

Hello,

I tested the WooCommerce [product_page] shortcode with a variable product on Avada 5.0.6 and it doesn’t appear to have any trouble / conflict caused by the Fusion Builder.

This may be due to a separate issue on your site. If you would like one on one assistance with that, please sign up at our support center and submit a new ticket. Be sure to include all the details you have about the issue, your site URL and version of Avada.

One more quick question: Is there a way or a place where we can see the image sizes that are better to be used with the theme’s templates, so everything looks as it should?

Hello,

We do have an image size guide that can help you with determining what image size is in use in a specific layout you like and also some information on factors that should affect the image size you choose.

You can find that here > http://bit.ly/1RRn6lS

Real Customer Reviews From The Past Few Days!

We love our customers and our customers love us. These amazing 5-Star reviews are fresh from today!

recent avada reviews

You guys are asking if we have ideas for new Avada demos … well, I do have one idea … there is one very important industry out there, that is often forgotten, and that is TRANSPORTATION INDUSTRY … so, it would be great if you guys could create one TRUCKING RELATED Avada demo, that would be suitable for trucking companies, and maybe also one demo for truck load brokers …

Take care guys and keep up the good work. Avada is still the one and only … #1

Mike

Hey Mike!

Always a pleasure to speak to a long time Avada user :)

Thank you for the demo idea, I’ve added it to our list. I agree, it would make a nice demo for sure, we have about 12-15 that will be released in the next few updates, and I’ll try to get this one made after those are out.

Thanks again, hope you had an awesome holiday!

Cheers! Luke

Hi Guys, Quick question: In the Health Demo, what are you using to create the sidebars on the department pages?

Hello!

Those appear to be sidebars, but are simply columns :) Just an additional creative way to lay out the page. So for example, the left side is a 2/3 col, right side is a 1/3 column.

Also, you can import the full demo on the Avada Welcome screen or just the single demo page through the Fusion Builder Library to check it out in detail.

Not a problem!

i’m not able to create any kind of content, i get the error: Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function ’’ not found or invalid function name in /home/ugocabua/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php on line 298

if i disable the “fusion builder” plugin i can create contents but obviously it’s not a solution since i can’t see the content editor properly

You are welcome.

Always!

Hi, I’ve just updated my local wamp installation with the new 5 prior to live installation. Went better than I thought (only had one area on the home page become distorted but eventually sorted that. The new Fusion builder takes a while to get used to but I suspect I’ll end up liking it.

I have the Fusion Builder switched off on the old version on live site and I see I can still do that, so yay! However the new version puts a tiny mice button in the editor box for the Fusion Builder which I definitely don’t want the client messing around with (don’t mind the shortcode one, but not the builder access button). I can’t see an option to remove that button in the Theme Options – am I missing something? If there isn’t an option will you be including it in the next version?

As I won’t upgrade the live version till I’ve removed that button then I’m currently looking to see if I can do it manually (CSS doesn’t work) or find a plugin to remove select buttons. I really hope the option is already in the Theme somewhere I have just overlooked or you’ll add it into the next upgrade if it’s not currently there.

Hi Ammar. :)

Yes, I’ll definitely go give some feedback and suggestions to you guys. I may even register as a beta tester in the Summer when I should have more time. Heh I’m an old woman so got plenty time on my hands when not working. :)

I’m most mad about the fact that I only discovered the theme a few months ago. It’s apparently the #1 seller so how on earth did I miss it? I bought one very similar (one letter, you know which one I mean) and while I liked it I never actually used it because there was always something that didn’t give me the look I was after. This one did, and frankly it’s the nicest and prettiest site I have so far built (really!). Now I’m thinking of how it could be used for other clients. (A demo for a newspaper/magazine would be a good idea!). Having one theme that one learns inside out and could be adapted to any type of business, is a very valuable tool for those who build sites for others.

The most exciting thing is having the Builder standalone. I use Dynamik-Genesis site builder for some sites (it’s a framework rather than a theme, and not the same kind of builder as this) and while that is great for complex sites, the themes that come with it are dated. The possibility of using the Fusion Builder to give them some modern ‘oomph’ when upgraded is awesome. I assume the builder will be licensed on it’s own at some point? Doesn’t really matter though, if I had to buy the cllient a license for the theme but could just use the builder without it. I do use a similar plugin from here on those sites, but yours is better. Could even be used on one of Wordpress default themes the Twenty-whatevers to turn them into something special I think.

(If the 2 builder plugins currently work without the theme I might play around on the wamp server with various themes to check the possibilties for when needed.)

I think I’m going to have a real read through the online documentation and training vids to make sure I don’t miss any cool features. I don’t normally read instructs I just wing it, so I think I miss a lot of what this theme is capable of. :)

Darn, it won’t let me edit. Just wanted to say if the Fusion Builder is not yet truly standalone (ie capable of working with other themes and not just Avada) then I hope this happens very soon. :)

Hello @Shaolin2

What if i tell you we are already working on making the Fusion Builder a stand alone plugin to be used with any WordPress theme you want?

Not only that, there will be some more add ons for the Fusion Builder too which will be introduced soon, in short the best is yet to come for Avada and Fusion Builder and we are very happy to have a customer like you in our midst :)

Thanks for being an Awesome Customer

Ammar

Hi,

After editing and saving an existing box with links on the homepage of my site https://www.wesparen.nl/ makes the used font (Montserrat) disappear.

An example can be found here: https://www.evernote.com/l/AAQJaC1Hp9VAJpjVna6XxZg8wgxHTMoX0rg

What causes this? And how can I get things to appear (with the Montserrat font) the way it should?

Thanks on beforehand.

Cheers, Marc
