1. If you use built-in Portfolio Grid Muffin Builder item under item’s settings, you can change the number of items per this specific portfolio item. But if you want to add padding between those item, you can use the following custom css:

    box-sizing: border-box !important;

this message means that you can not install theme thru the WP default importer because of the limits on server side. It’s probably because of upload_max_filesize. There is few ways to install your theme then:

- You need to contact with your admin and ask him to increase those limits for you so you can install theme via default importer
- You can install betheme-no-plugins.zip file instead which is much lighter because does not contain plugins
- You can unzip default betheme.zip file and upload betheme folder with all theme files via FTP into /wp-content/ folder.

we definitely recommend to use Muffin Builder. It is much faster, easier in use, definitely lighter and should give much you better speed results. But there is nothing like “most plugins compatible” because authors are not able to test own product with most available plugins. Basically, if the plugin is written in accordance to WP API, it should be compatible with other plugins as well but many plugin authors uses own solution and they forget about good practices related to the api.

Could you be a little bit more specific about your issue? If you mean that you can not change colors under the section we gave you above, it means you must set one-of predefined skins and that’s why you can not change colors from the Muffin Options. Please remember that custom colors works only with Custom skin.

we didn’t touched your site so we don’t know what happened exactly. However, we can see a lot of content which does not come with the theme. Looks like some come with extra plugins but some you or your developer added. So we suggest to start from plugins deactivation and please also remove all extra code. But if this won’t help, you need to start all over again.
