Hello, I have an older version of Impreza (1.3.1) and the built in visual composer has stopped working. I’ve purchased the latest version of the Visual Composer, can you please advise how to remove the built in version so I can install the new versin of VC. Thank you.

Unfortunately, Impreza 1.3.1 won’t work with latest Visual Composer, so you should update your theme using this manual, then activate your license, and update all 3d party plugins which came with Impreza to their latest versions in dashboard absolutely for free.

Excerpts are suddenly appearing on the bottom of blog posts, as well as archive and other pages. We do not want them there! Examples:

I can’t figure out how to turn them off, even after searching the theme options and knowledge base. I’m assuming this is related to the recent theme update…

PS – There are also other formatting issues as a result of the theme update, including the loss of vertical spacing between certain paragraphs. Very frustrating!

Here’s an example of the spacing issue: http://southloop-living.com/chronicles/things-to-do. There should be two paragraphs at the top. I cleared the cache and it didn’t fix the problem. Everything in the page code looks fine.

As I can see there are no paragraphs tags around the first part of the content:

We have Impreza 2.x and we would like to upgrade to the latest version (v4.0). I wanted to inquire as to what level of success/failure do you feel is possible from such an early version and what steps are recommended? As I understand, the process involves changing to a standard WP theme, uninstalling the older theme, followed by installing the updated theme (i.e. Impreza 4.0).

Our current Impreza 2.x theme doesn’t have a child theme nor an uninstall option, so in our case would we simply change to a standard WP theme, then remove the older Impreza theme from the folder and then proceed to install the latest version?

Additionally, we have current versions of the theme provided plugins (i.e. Visual Composer, Slider Revolution, etc.), will those be overwritten or skipped?

We also using additional CSS and several color changes in the Impreza 2.x theme, will these carry over? Lastly, our older version doesn’t have a header builder, will this cause any issues?

Basically our goal is to gain the newer capabilities of the latest theme version, including the new header builder feature and footer capabilities and our fear is the upgrade resulting in and/or requiring hours of post theme upgrade changes just to get back to the visuals we had in the older version.

FWIW, we’re a very narrow market eCommerce (ref: WooCommerce) site that offers events and a few simple products.

Any advice and/or suggestions are gladly welcomed!

You don’t need to purchase an extra license if you’ve got one. You should activate it, and update Impreza to its latest version in dashboard.

Most probably update won’t bring any problems if you didn’t edit main theme files, but we recommend to make a backup before updating to be in safe.

The site was purchased as a packaged solution from the original developer some time ago; no activation information was provided and that developer is no longer part of the project, hence, the reason for the questions about upgrading as it’s clear we’ll need to purchase a new license. If the updated theme requires a significant amount of post upgrade work, it’s likely we’ll consider an alternative vendor/theme, although if the upgrade poses little risk, then it’s worth the latest feature set.

During my research, it appears the majority is straight-forward although the method used to store page/style colors has changed between the versions and we’ll likely loose all our color styles immediately after the upgrade, in addition our current footer layout would be lost as well, requiring recreation; again, these are questions we needed answers to prior to purchasing the latest version. .

Thoughts?

As we wrote above update won’t brake your design, and settings won’t be lost if you didn’t edit theme files directly, but we recommend to make a backup, because result also depends on your server, 3d party plugins custom code etc.

Once you purchased a license go to our Support Portal, and create a ticket there so our support guys could help you to update Impreza properly.

And the author bio on blog posts keeps disappearing and not including the bio text and correct public name, then pops back into place and shows the bio text, correct name, etc. Do you know of anything that affects this? You have to simply navigate around the site a bit, save the user profile, go to a couple of pages, then the correct publically displayed name and bio text, website displays in the author bio box on posts. I actually have a license for this site too it is just for another client and not my personal Impreza which the support expired, but I just bought this theme a 2nd time for this site-

Please answer these two questions and I will also go and start a support account with this Impreza license…

1. Go to Theme Options > Blog Options, and change Featered Image Layout to Modern or Trendy there.

How to force numbers to be dialable on mobile devices?

I have bought this theme twice so that I could have 2 license keys. But when I resync my “upsolution support portal” so that I can activate my second website that I’m trying to build it says that I only have one license key (which is currently being used by one of my former clients). Please help?

I found the 500 error problem source, it is about cloudflare minify . I remove minify js tick and it solved. But how can i speed up site as your demo. (my support expired)

WOAH! What a great and flexible theme with the update to 4.0. Thank You for that. My question: Where can I get this little side-menu (pipette, Monitor, TEST DRIVE…) that You use in demo? Or is it implemented in IMPREZA – and I´m blind .-)

Afraid that it won’t fit, this switcher was made especially for this particular demo site, and it has no settings, so you can’t adjust it via GUI.

I can’t see my license here: https://help.us-themes.com/user/no_licenses even though i have bought the theme.

Thanks for the new update with the sticky sub menu. I found out that there is a visible scrollbar in the sticky sub menu (Safari 10.0.3 on OSX) even in your demo page http://impreza.us-themes.com/pages/about/

I changed URL of my theme and deactivated the license for that URL and now Up Solutions website won’t recognize that I have a license, it says I have 0 licenses. Even though I’ve purchased 2 of your themes. Since it won’t recognize I have a license it won’t even allow me to use the support forum. Yes I do have Envato API connected as well. Nothing won’t recognize my licenses.

okay that got it to show up on the UpSolutions website I can see two licenses. But it will still not validate the theme.

We had temporary issues with Envato API interface during which some of requests to API returned incorrect information about users’ licenses. That was leading to deletion of license information stored in our database – under normal conditions info was deleted for refunded licenses only. That’s why the licenses were deactivated. We do apologize for the inconvenience and investigating the reasons of the issue. But we have already made changes that will prevent deletion of any license information from now on, so this should not happen again. Please let us know if you have any other issues or questions on this matter. Sorry for the inconvenience!
