Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 covers a wide range of recommendations for making Web content more accessible. Following these guidelines will make content accessible to a wider range of people with disabilities, including blindness and low vision, deafness and hearing loss, learning disabilities, cognitive limitations, limited movement, speech disabilities, photosensitivity and combinations of these. Following these guidelines will also often make your Web content more usable to users in general.
It’s not only important to offer my content to anyone but I read that building your web site while following these guidelines will also improve your Google ranking, so how does Salient comply to these guidelines?
Hey htusco, Salient uses basic aria tags for various areas however the theme isn’t created specifically with wcag – all of the top themes on here don’t offer full integration with all the wcag techniques, however you can find plugins to add some of this without any development https://wordpress.org/plugins/tags/wcag

Vertical_Productions, I don’t own a license for this template yet. I will buy it as soon as the update is released… BUT! From the experience with other templates (they came with slider revolution and visual composer in the package) but I managed to achieve this by creating slides with video background and slider revolution has the option to start the video at any moment I want. So I created more slides withthe same video starting at different moment and made slides to show random. Maybe you can try this as well. Good luck!

Buddypress Activity Feed – Comment Button Not Working. Hello, I have installed Buddypress on my website and a registered user should be able to make a comment on an activity they see in their feed. However, when the “Comment” button is clicked, nothing happens. The page just reloads. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
I’m pretty sure it’s a javascript issue because I switched to a different theme temporarily and the comment button worked. Can you please fix this?

When I try to click on the comment button for any of the activity I see, it tries to load the following URL but just reloads the current page instead:

Hey there! Fantastic theme! Is it possible to have a bit of bleed from the previous row when scrolling down when full screen rows are being used e.g. let’s say on a home page?

I am a web developer, and have many clients with this theme. I have a support account and have been able to ask questions in that account but am having trouble now as the theme in my account support has expired. I have a new client, who’s site i need help with, and who has support… but i’m not able to ask the question in my account as my support is expired. Is there a way to put the new purchase code into that support account? it’s super awkward to have to create a new account, as i like having all the questions i’ve asked in one place.

Hi! Great theme! Im glad to work with it. I have a few problems, I hope you can help me:
I’ve created a form with raw html in certain page, and when I save the changes the theme wraps the input and select tags with lots of span tags and another html tags. There is a way of avoiding this? (the select tag becomes unuable). Another thing that happen is that the styles of the input text are overwriting my custom css, even if I use !Important.

Hi i’m using Salient theme, it’s a great theme and I like it. I have a question: If I use the site at: Enable Boxed sets Layout. Then my calendar dropdown disappears. When I disable it, than it works again. I use the Gravity Forms plugin. See page https://mecar.nl/

Hello again. Will the much awaited update include visual composer or slider revolution? I would like to pay more for the template but I would like to be sure that I have all the resources and tools needed for designing my website. I want to use this template for a web design agency so I need it to be as cool as f**k 
to make an impression and people to remember the website. I need it to look different then any other agency’s websites.
I bet other people interested in this template expect the same.
Also, it will support the latest wordpress version?
And another question… if I buy a template that already comes with visual composer and I install both templates, your and the other one, on a multi sites wordpress install, will I be able to use visual composer and other plugins that come with the other template to build content on salient also?

1. VC is already included, but the update will be including the new version and some custom Salient developments 
2. It’s already compatible with WP 4.7+
3. You can only have one version of VC active per install – on the site which you’re using Salient, you’d still be using the Salient VC
4. It’s not on their official list but many users are using it

Hi! I am using the “service demo” for my website www.webclaps.in the website looks really great on desktop but the experience on mobile is really bad. I enabled “Disable On Mobile Check this to disable the page full screen rows when viewing on a mobile device.”
Which looked fine but the button that I had created “Explore Now” no longer works on smart phone but it works on desktop.
Please help or suggest something to fix it.

Like everyone else, I am also having issues with the new wordpress update to 4.5. When I upload to the latest version of salient, I lose all my custom css code and I cannot access visual composer. When I update the plugin, I get access to the visual composer, but all of my previous css is still lost along with several parts of my layout. I do not see the rows anymore. I have been using the manual code to update and fix, but the image gallery has me stumped. I tried revising the wp fix: (’.wpb_column[data-hover-bg^=”#”]’) to no avail. These are the errors I get in my developer tool. I think it has something to do with the helper.php. It is within the custom css boxes. It works fine when I use the js_composer_salient, but the VP doesn’t work, specifically with the image gallery. When I upgrade to te latest version of VC, it loses all custom css and I lose my [vc_row] layout. I tried to submit a ticket, but envato isn’t recognizing me as a “paid” product, though I have purchased several things now.
i want to set up a site with salient that has three sections, each section has a different menu, woudl i be able to do this with this theme?

Removing the top menu fixed that problem… now new problems are arising. Like whenever I edit a page, the name resets to the name of one of my portfolio items. For example, I have a page called “video-production” when I click update, it resets to one of my clients whose name is “samina.” Additionally, I can’t get rid of the big blue header on this page – http://imagepeople.com/web-design/ – the page also keeps resetting. Help!

I tried deactivating all of the plugins. This began happening when I updated the theme (using envato market plugin). Wordpress has also been updated to the current version.

I haven’t added custom integration for the plugin – but the theme comes translation ready so it likely has little, if any issues. If you discover any just let me know
