It have to be used as page template, and for full width, try to add following css code:

    margin: 0;
}

Apply the code from Qode options > General > Custom CSS field.

thats the reason i asked, if i can integrate the blog chequered as a shortcode with visual composer? There i can set the width as a row and not full width.

Sorry, but blog chequered does not exist as shortcode, and it can only be sued as template. Maybe this still can be achieved with some additional custom css code, and you can submit ask our support about that by submitting a ticket at https://qode.ticksy.com

The theme is up to date and since the API key is installed, the map works fine.

The only error I am still concerned about is that once I want to update a page I get the following error:

Regarding warning, it is just for debugging purposes, and you should disable wp_debug on live enviroment https://codex.wordpress.org/WP_DEBUG , also ask your host to disable PHP warnings.

Space between widgets cannot be changed from options but you can add html line brake within text widget in order to create additional space, or you can paste empty space element raw shortcode.

Demos contain posts and pages – content, and all content is saved within WordPress database, so importing demo means that content will be created on your installation and this also means that if there is some page with same name like in demo it will be overwritten, so it is not advisable to import demo on liver site and if you want to do so then make sure to create full site backup first.

Regarding importing demo content over existing one, then you should clear everything first, because content structure is the same or very similar and this is covered in theme documentation http://bridge.qodeinteractive.com/documentation/3-demo-content/3-1-qode-import/

Also note that it is good practice to install WordPress on your PC (localhost) and then to try different demos. In this way you can see which options we used and you can reproduce that on your live page – https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/setting-up-xampp/
