I just bought another copy of the theme but I do not see that I have much control over the header like other famous themes I thought it was ready.

Thanks for writing in. I’m sorry, it’s not quite ready yet, but our next major update is being beta tested right now, so we’re getting closer to a release. I can’t give an ETA on this however.

Hi there Themeco! Awesome theme … couple of questions. It has been hard to find a Reservation Theme for Condos. It is not for a Hotel. I need to be able to make reservations through a calendar for a couple of condos in Hawaii. I like the Hotel Themes only because you can set up your Room features pretty easy and add a gallery. But they do get too convoluted with features, which is fine for bigger companies.
But my client has two Condos, she hates to call them rooms … but wants a calendar for each condo and able to set up an instant quote—I’ve been using the Booki plugin which is awesome.
Can your theme support Reservations? I hope my question makes since … just want something simple, that’s all.

Thanks for writing in. As a theme, X is a great choice for designing a site and presenting content to your visitors beautifully. Reservations would be getting into plugin territory, and isn’t something typically built into a theme, nor is it included with X. You may want to explore some reservation/booking plugin options. We don’t have one that we officially recommend, but it our experience X works great with any plugins coded to WordPress best practices.

Hi X Team, Is it possible to use different styles of theme in the site? I mean you have different theme styles such as renew, integrity, icon, and ethos so can i use it in different layout styles like that in my website without creating sub-folder or sub-domain? Thanks

Thanks for writing in. A Stack is a global setting, so once it’s enabled that will be applied across your entire site. There isn’t a way to use more than one at a time.
Is there a way to make the nav sticky on mobile. I read in a previous comment that it’s disabled intentionally to improve UX. I would argue that it makes it easier to navigate and you use the functionality yourself on theme.co/x. I love your themes but would love to have this functionality.

Placing advertisements on X Theme
Hi there, I’m super keen to buy X theme for my magazine style publication. BUT it seems like there is still no advert extension or widget. Looking back through other questions, it seems this has been asked in the past with some workaround suggested, but I am not sure where things stand right now. I am a business owner, not a designer or developer, so I don’t want to be fiddling around with something complex. I want to be able to easily place advertisements. My site relies on ads for revenue so not having this would be a dealbreaker .
I was looking at Extra by Elegant Themes, which has easy ad integration, but now I’ve discovered X Theme, I feel like that is a much better theme for me. I really want to use Ethos as it looks incredible and ticks every other box (other than ads).
Please tell me there is an easy solution for ad placement!!

Integrating “advertisements” does not need any sort of 3rd party plugin. As a matter of fact, any theme or product that claims to do that is typically providing something very one dimmensional that ultimately is not very customizable or useful (for example works only to show Google Adsense when in fact adding Google Adsense doesn’t need a tool as you can add it directly quite easily).

My actual question remains unanswered – perhaps because I used the wrong language (let’s remember I’m not a developer/designer) by using the word ‘integrated’?
My question: Can I easily and simply place ads for businesses on my site? Businesses with whom I have a relationship and who want ads as part of their sponsorship package with my magazine. And then be able to track click-thru stats.
This is important for my business because many of my customers (who are micro businesses) do not have ad sense accounts, so they want a simple solution: an image with a link.
Adrotate is a third party plugin that’s been recommended to achieve this, and while being mindful of your feedback around ad plugins, please bear in mind I am just trying to ensure my needs can be met before I purchase.

Yes, you can place ads. It would not be the theme’s place to track click throughs or any data related to those ads as that is the job of whatever ad software you are using. We also can’t answer for you whether that is simple as it depends on how familiar you are with adding tracking codes (many of our customers do this). If you are looking to add tracking codes, ad codes, or anything of the like you definitely can, you simply need to do so following the guidelines from the particular ad software you are trying to integrate with. I’m not familiar with Adrotate but virtually all ad networks provide instructions for how to place their software on your site so it would simply be a matter of following those instructions – again not something the theme manages directly.

Thanks for writing in, both the latest Visual Composer and Revolution Slider are included with X 4.6.4, please make sure you have a validated license for X and you should then see the available updates within your WordPress admin > updates.

ConvertPlug does work with X as it is an Extension. We also work closely with the developer of that tool to address any issues that may come up. While Addons to a 3rd party plugin like ConvertPlug are outside the scope of our own support, we do make sure X works with all Extensions and will connect with the developer directly if there is any issue on our end that we can help address.
