Theme functionality is the same trough all theme demos except that we used different options and layouts for different demos. Yes, by having one main row on a landing page template you can set image as row background when you edit that row, like we did in our demos, like in this one http://demo.qodeinteractive.com/bridge45/ . I’m having issues importing the demo content to my website. This would not be the first case nor the second.
I’ve done my research along with making the proper changes to allow for the import to work. I’d say 100% of the time it will stop at half way through, sometimes at 40%, 50%,60% and the most famous one, 90%.
I also noticed this issue is quite common with other clients who have purchased the Bridge theme when it comes to importing demo content.
I went to the one of the forums by Qode where i was able to find a support question in regards to this matter.
You guys provided the following info to add to a php.ini file
max_execution_time = 1000 memory_limit = 64M upload_max_filesize = 1024M post_max_size = 1024M
So my hosting company uses something called PHPRC instead of php.ini
And i’ve adjusted my settings to match the ones provided from your end. That said the error continues to happen, and happen and happen. I’ve tried on multiple sites of mine to test it out and it continues.
The fact you guys provide us with over 200 preset demos is amazing, making life usually easier for the clients aka someone like myself.
Sadly though there are people out there who do not have the tech background to make proper changes or even dig further into this issue.
That all said do you have another method i can use to import your demo content? Or simply provide a document of the visual composer back-end code used on a particular demo?
I’m trying to import Demo 18 – Masonry Shop
For a theme that has barely anything on it you’d think it would import in seconds. I have even tried importing just the content and nothing else, no attachments etc and the error still continues where i’ll keep my window open for hours and nothing!
I’ve sent a ticket in to my hosting provider just to see if there is something they may be able to do on their end, but if not do you have another option i can choose from?

Commonly this is related to lower PHP directives, but if you increased them like above then this should be fine. On the other hand, maybe you can check with your host if directives which you have set are allowed for your hosting plan because even if they are set to higher values, master value may be preserved. Also, since import progress bar is reaching 100% very fast and content is not getting imported maybe your server is blocking connection to our demo server so check this also with hosting support. Import functionality is working fine, and you can easily check this if you install WordPress on your PC on XAMPP https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/setting-up-xampp/ . If you continue to have problems with import you can contact our support by submitting a ticket at https://qode.ticksy.com/ but because they don’t have sufficient level of access and necessary tools they can suggest you increasing some server parameters, but in order to be able to resolve this you should definitely contact hosting support.

Spoke with my hosting company and it would seem that its for sure a memory limit as I’ve pasted below some info. I have a VPS which i know the import will work 100% since i have much more freedom than a shared hosting account, problem lies that the current domain i am trying to setup using the theme is on a shared hosting account and are limited to what i can change.
I will try a few other things, if worse case the error continues i’ll be sure to submit a ticket for support.
With that said is there an XML file for New Demo 18 – Masonry that you could provide?

Glad to hear that you managed to find out that it is due to shared hosting plan for that domain. Regarding manual import, this can be done with XML file, but amount of content may also time out, so you will need to repeat demo import several times until success message appears. Probably it is not imported because it is large and max_input_vars and some other directives are low for your hosting plan. Try increasing directives like below:
max_execution_time = 300;
memory_limit = 128M;
upload_max_filesize = 64M;
post_max_size = 256M;
max_imput_vars = 3000;
and try to import demo content again.

Thank you for the fast response. I only changed the post_max_size parameter to 256M, because the other values were OK (http://wp.venezia-leinefelde.de/phpinfo.php). I did a database reset and a new qode import but the problem is still the same.

Then check with your host why import is stopping, they surly have some error log on the server, but since it is just menu, you can leave import without demo menu since you will certainly create your own menu. If you want to have complete demo and your host cannot help you with this you can try to contact our support and to ask them to import demo content for you. Yes, but for some reason it cannot import demo menus, and this is commonly related to max execution time or max_input_vars, and these are server related settings, and that is why we suggested you to contact hosting support, but also our support can check this but you have to contact them over support forum and to provide login credentials.

Border top is set with custom css, so change its color from Qode options > Custom css field.
Elements and theme colors are set from Qode options > General, and colors for some elements like button for example is set from Qode Options > Elements > Buttons.
Some other elements can load styling from element options, like for example social icons, so you will need to change colors by changing shortcode hover color or by creating your own set of social icons and adding them to header and footer. Adding icons is covered in theme documentation on the following link.

As we can see, theme and Visual Composer are updated, so if Visual Composer sin’t working, then it is probably due to some plugin conflict or caching, so try disabling all 3rd party plugins one by one and test every time. Also, clear caching plugin cache, and disable it.

Hello,
I was unable to install this theme using the ZIP file in admin. So I used FTP to upload both the Bridge theme as well as the Bridge Child theme. But I still can\’t activate the child theme because I get this message:
The parent theme is missing. Please install the “bridge” parent theme.
Also, tried again on another domain and get the same thing. WP says… “Are you sure you want to do this? Try again.”

Probably parent theme isn’t installed correctly. Unfortunately, this cannot be achieved because script is working in this way, and it is calculating positions according to image sizes, so adding space with css will mess carousel layout and images won’t be displayed entirely.
