are patch updates for version 4.03 no longer available?

Thank you for your question. 4.0.3 is not the current version, so no patches will be released for this version. Patches are released for the latest version of Avada only, then each patch / fix will be included in the next version of Avada and it builds from there. It’s recommended to stay on the latest version of Avada as much as possible.

Other important reminders:

Please make sure you backup your entire site first – either via cPanel, or manually back up your WordPress, Avada, uploads folders as well as your WordPress database. Your web host support can guide you more about backup options on your hosting account.

Do not leave older copies of Avada in WP themes folder when updating to a newer version of Avada. Old copies should be removed completely before uploading the new version to prevent errors with Theme Options, loss of menus and widgets, and other issues. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.

Clear browser and any plugin caching systems after updating the theme. Cache can display false views of the theme pages after updating. This is also true when updating plugins as well.

You’ve updated the theme 5 times since March 13th. This is very frustrating as a couple of those updates broke at least one site. Can you please let up know what is going on. 5 updates in a week is not good for confidence building. What about a blog post to let us know its gonna be alright please.

I can understand that sentiment. The recent updates since Avada 5.1 were maintenance updates to correct some problems that slipped through the beta testing phase. There’s no need to be alarmed here. This is a good thing because we’re solving any problems found immediately so the affect to customers is minimal. (hence the rapid release of recent updates).

I can assure you all is well. It’s impossible to catch every bug before release because of the diversity in server setups and plugins customer’s use. However, this recent update (5.1.4) seems to be doing well and we’re seeing this resolve most problems customers are having.

What is determining that the slider header height on these pages (About/Work/Articles/Services) are 700px height but the Contact page is 1095px…I’ve spent 30min’s looking around & can’t figure it out :(

Thank you for your question. The Fusion Slider actually has the option for you to set a specific height for your slider or to choose full screen. The 700px slider is set to 700px in the slider’s settings, where as the other slider referenced is full screen > https://avada.theme-fusion.com/creative/contact-us/

The Avada theme handles the display / appearance of your site as well as some content types (e.g. portfolio posts, blog posts, FAQ posts, etc.) Generally plugins are added for specific functionality and a theme handles the content display / styling. The Avada theme can create many different styles of sites, so it’s highly likely you’ll have no trouble creating the design you need for your site.

Please update to 5.1.4, which is the latest version of Avada and clear all forms of cache. The problems you’re describing are often due to cache not being cleared which can result in JS errors.

After updates, it’s best practice to clear the cache so you’re not mixing old cached files with new updated files. That will cause unexpected behavior.

Each time there is an update, it does not end always well. I have to explain this to my client which you can understand is not very happy and does not have too much faith in the theme anymore. I manage to add a few patches but one has not been done and it might be the cause of this misery.

The site looks broken and I cannot access it. Not very happy.

I would expect that lots of testing would have taken place before releasing the update. I am loose faith today.

Regardless of whether the update was performed manually or auto, the Fusion Builder or Fusion Core plugins must be updated, this is all detailed in the update instructions

If you decide to manually update the theme via FTP instead of auto, make sure that the old theme is deleted outright and not overwritten during the FTP transfer, this is far too often not adhered to and does cause issues as well. Once again consult and be sure follow the detailed Avada update instructions

As a web host, we are seeing this same “Fatal error: Class ‘Fusion_Cache’ not found” error on 3 sites right now (that we know of)). I do not think this is a resource issue (these sites have plenty of resources available). You may have a larger issue at hand.

I think this is the problem “NEW: All Fusion caches get reset when a patch is applied and on theme updates, for best update results”—these sites had no instance in any code anywhere anything about Fusion_Cache or $fusion_cache.

This theme has been previously purchased for a client of mine and we are two separate developers working on the website, however the other developer who has the purchase code is not responding to my emails and we desperately need Fusion patches applied as the site is all sorts of messed up since updating. We have not seen any reports of the icon issue, the only typical thing that deals with font awesome icons is this https://theme-fusion.com/knowledgebase/are-your-font-awesome-icons-or-custom-fonts-not-showing-up/... and that is not something special to a new update.

The current live version is 5.1.4 and our demos are updated to 5.1.4 as are a lot of our customers.

Unfortunately any embedded code created by other devs is impossible for us to troubleshoot without seeing it, and if it’s custom not something we can support, however would try to as best we can through a ticket.

I know it was bought from a previous client, but for us to help, we really do need you to get to our support center by getting the purchase code and submitting a ticket.

So it appears you were on a v4 version if it was back in March of 2016? Make sure to always check our important update notes before you update: https://theme-fusion.com/knowledgebase/important-update-information-archive/

It sounds like you need to undergo conversion, go to Avada > System Status and run conversion manually, you will see the buttons there.

Also, make sure to read that above post from the vrsion you were on to the new version.

I have several large files in wp-content/uploads folder. A couple are named Avada-[sequence of characters].tmp and a couple are named Avada.zipAWSAccessKey[sequence of characters].tmp Any idea why they are there and how to stop any more from being created and if it’s okay to delete all of them?

It sounds like you’re describing the dynamic CSS & JS files. These are essentially cached output of your settings. This is used to increase the speed of your site by reducing server load.

You can disable this, but it will be less efficient. To do that, go to Theme Options > Advanced > Dynamic CSS & JS;

I recently purchased another licence for it for a new website, but when I log in to my support account and insert the purchase code, I get the message that the purchase code is registered with another user. Also having trouble registering the theme to be able to install demos. What am I missing? Please advise.

Technically there is only one field to upload a logo to, so it will be the same on every page However, if you wanted to set this up just per page, you can. Instead of using the global logo option, you could create two blank pages, and set it up as you described. One with white background and dark logo, one with dark background and white logo. However, they would be like landing pages, individual and not able to work with the header theme options that are global. Just two separate pages
