How to fix bug:
On this demo is the full screen portfolio slider: http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-slider-portfolio/
The ‘Left & Right Arrows’ to navigate through the portfolio items at the bottom is aligned to the Portfolio Title and ‘View Project’ button.
However, when you turn on ‘Full Width Header’ in the Salient Options Panel, it also moves the location of the ‘Left & Right Arrows’ to match the left alignment of the full-width header.
The problem is that it is no longer left-aligned to the Portfolio Title, so it looks weird. How to make the ‘Left & Right Arrows’ stay aligned to its original position while still turning on ‘Full Width Header’?
Another bug:
For some weird reason, I can’t edit a column’s responsive options for tablet view, it says in the width section ‘Default value from width attribute’.
When my site is on tablet view, the columns are squished to be really narrow. I want my entire site when in tablet view to mimic the same settings as mobile view.

1. Moving the nav arrows to match the location of the header on a full width layout was intentional, the project caption was left where it needed to be in order to have the best text effect falling off the image on transition – moving this would require custom css
2. VC by default has the tablet settings inherit from smartphone sizing, if that’s not working for you please share the URL where I can see this issue

Some columns set at 5/12 or 7/12 (which I would expect to mimic smartphone sizing and span the whole row horizontally) end up only going half way.

The 5/12 and 7/12 columns appear fine on mobile, they are messed up on the tablet (770-1000 viewport).

You just need to set it for the mobile size to 1/1, even though it’s already displaying as that for you – having the 1/1 value in will force the 1/1 on tablet http://imgur.com/a/gPvrC

thanks but this is not a good way for me. how can i change it with the template, i bought the extension light gallery pro but it isn`t possible to activate, also the developer can`t fix it is there a specific selector like img and a warpper named .magnific-popup? the developer told me that it will work with all “normal” visual composers. thanks for help!
Hi guys. I’ve got an Image Gallery widget on the page, set to “Image Grid Style”. It currently display the image caption on hover. But when tapping it on mobile it opens the image in a popup. We’d rather see the caption (desktop hover event) on mobile. How do we do this?

As of now this would require a little custom modding as the lightbox event would need to be removed in the init.js file in order to allow the hover effect to show alone

A different question – I’d like to make a change to the work-info-bg (hover color), but dynamic-combined.css is being included last, with work-info-bg background-color !important, meaning it can’t be overwritten with custom (since custom CSS is included before dynamic-combined). How can I change the hover color?

I really hope this forum is still active, I have a problem with the nectar slider showing up on my site. On 2 computers and a cell phone its fine, on my work computer with a little wider screen it does not show up. I have turned off parallax and loop as suggested by some other posts. CORRECTION: The nectar slider is not showing up on any browser or computer. The source image in my captions section is showing up on mobile but nothing on browsers. I have not updated or changed anything. It was working fine the other day. The only thing that was done was choosing HTTPS and activating SSL certificate on the site through Envato. Please help

Hey, thanks for the response. I went ahead and removed the SSL certificate since we do not need it at the moment. I could not have it down and not working. I tried the use the Plugin you have mentioned to others for SSL unsecured content with no luck on any settings. I do not know if it makes a difference but I am on the hosted subscription not the purchased version. I have tried everything I can think of and adjusted and turned things off and on with no success so it is for sure the SSL interfering somehow. After disabling it it works perfect. Any advice?
Hey, what version of the theme are you using? Current releases within the past year or so do SSL checks to ensure the Nectar Slider serves images with https if needed – is there anyway you could enable it and screenshot what the browser console shows (you can view the console by hitting f12)

Hey, are you talking about the spacing between your columns? By default all columns have spacing – you can remove this by either setting the row to full width content or placing an inner row inside of a regular row with the 2 columns in there. The inner row will have an option to remove the column spacing

1. You’re using the centered heading which by default has a border on the bottom – if you just use text blocks or custom heading elements instead this will not occur
2. Add this into the custom css box in the Salient options panel:

Any plans to provide a setting to change the mobile breakpoint for the header menu? Seems like any normal size menu of 4 or 5 items line-wraps way before it turns into the mobile menu and it looks sloppy.

Support is down: I am using the Salient 8 and all of a sudden the site is broken up in Safari. It was working fine yesterday. I ran tests my deactivating plugins etc. nothing fixed it. IT works fine on other browsers.

Hey aki4891, there’s no way to fully disable all theme style for form elements without removing the actual css – however you can control the type of form styling Salient offers in the theme options > form styling tab

A full width masonry portfolio display can go up to 6 columns when using the photography masonry sizing http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-photography/ but the column size adjusts automatically according to the screen size, and is only sown at 6 columns on large desktops

Hi Salient, I’m using Masonry Blog option www.takaski.com/blog and every time I scroll down then there are strange white horizontal lines appearing. Also, the biggest issue is that blog post links are suddenly linked to different posts. This problems happen on both: Masonry Blog Fullwidth and Masonry Blog No Sidebar too. I have not modified the blog theme pages and it’s a standard Salient Blog setup. Thanks

I’m in the final process with WP ROCKET minifying JS and CSS, but for some reason unknown only in the Home sticky menu does not appear when we roll to the top, it gets fixed.
Could you check what it might be? I already asked ROCKET not to minify this JS: Wp-content / themes / salient / js / init.js
