Oh my god… how do i set the button style same like you have in your “Startup Home” header section? I’ve create a button with 100% same settings and the button looks different…
also when i hit Preview Changes it set my customization after second hit… for the first time it never worked!

Hey! For the copyright extension (I assume you’re referring to iPad as that’s the only size when I saw it break into two lines) use this css:

Is there an option to enable menu item descriptions? I know they are visible in Off Canvas Navigation, but it would be nice to be able to show them on the default layout navigation as well.

I’m using the shortcode to display my Portfolio on a page on my site. I have it set to be sortable. I like how it displays the current category on the left if Horizontal Filters is enabled. But, I want the filters to be a drop down menu while also displaying the current category on the left. If I remove the horizontal filter option, it displays the options as a drop down box but doesn’t display the current category on the left. Is there anyway to do this?

Unfortunately combining these two styles would indeed require custom development as the selected category html is simply not output in the dropdown style

Is there a way I can add a hover effect to text in a text box. I want to make link, but without it being in a button, but in the text box I can’t have a hover, underline, etc. I can’t launch into another tab either.
Is there a way to do these things?

If you’re trying to look specific text within the whole block you could do so with a normal html anchor, which can be set from the text editor. If you’re trying to link an entire block of text you can do this from the column settings in VC, but a new tab from this method would require some custom modding

On the blog page, I noticed that all of the blog entries plus the entire blog are listed on the page. How would I go about shortening the blog entry so the page isn’t so long? Also, would some automatic pagination happen after so many blogs. The page is here http://www.twotheking.com/blog

You can set an automatic excerpt option in the Salient options panel > blog options > functionality tab as well as control the pagination type. To control how many posts show per page, you can set that in your admin panel > settings > reading

Loving the theme more and more I use it.
1. I really like this layout with the book image and text to the left. Can something like the layout in the link below be done with Salient’s Nectar Slider?
2. Is it possible to add an image into the nectar slider similar to how it’s displayed here: http://demos.shapingrain.com/offtheshelfwp/novel-landing-page/
It appears there is a background image as a .JPG and the book image is a .PNG.

It would be much easier to do it in a VC row, no custom css would be required at all. If you want that alignment in a Nectar Slider css would be needed to position it. However you can add png images into a slide in the slider, just add an image tag into the caption field of your slide

Quick suggestion: Would be great if there was a way to carry over the “Accent Colors” from the Salient Theme panel to the color picker on all elements, so for instance, I can update a background color of a row to any of the colors in my theme. Much fast than having to keep my Accent Colors page open in another browser window and copy and paste HEX values back and forth.

Responsive Bug:
When using Column Settings > Responsive Options > Hide On Device, it works perfectly except when the browser window is in between 1200-1300 in width.
On my webpage, I have set certain columns to ‘hide on device’ for desktop, laptop, and tablet – so it will only display when on mobile. It works, but when the browser is between 1200-1300 then it suddenly displays the columns. Above that range, the columns are hidden. Below that range it is also hidden until it reaches the correct mobile browser width.

The header row formatting on athleteessentialsgroup.com is completely wrong on Internet Explorer browsers (IE 11 is what I am using). Chrome, Safari and Firefox are just fine. I have submitted a support ticket but it has been two days with no response.

I don’t have a specific sharing plugin to recommend – but adding it to the top & bottom of the post would require modding to the single.php file.
