Hello,
We have same Problems with SVG Files !
The latest update I have major problems with svg files. Before the update all svg files were scaling perfectly fine to any size of image container with the VC. Now all SVG files are shown super tiny. Really, really weird. Please let me know if you have a clue.

Are it is, the background changes to white when hovered over but the text stays white and gets bleached out.

When using the “see through solid on hover” button style there’s an option for “Hover Text Color” – you can set that to dark

Is there any way to mix-match the sliders? For example, I’m currently using the eCommerce theme version, which only offers a full-page video background slider. However, the ‘new’ Startup theme version offers a nice slider with a video pop-up (activated by an arrow-button on the righthand side). As I don’t want to use a full-page video slider, this other option would be more ideal.

The section on the startup demo isn’t a slider – just a VC row with elements inside. You can create a section like that anywhere on your current site easily as long as you’re on Salient 8.0 – just head into the Salient studio > Hero sections http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/salient-studio/

Thank you for the fast reply. Is there a way to mix the two? For example, having the VC row with elements inside (as the starter page) and then somehow have the auto-rotating Nectar Slider kick in afterwards? Or vice versa. I doubt it, but I thought I’d ask. Thanks.
p.s.- the point is, I really like the Nectar slider, but I don’t want a full-screen video in the background and instead just want one of the sliders to either have a small video on the right-side or have a pop-up video (like discussed for the Startup demo).
Hey as of now there’s no way to have slider like functionality set as a row BG, though I’ve noted the idea for the wishlist
Hi ! Thanks for your awesome work, I really love this Salient ! I’m on VC 5.0.1 and WP 4.7.3 I can’t use Image Gallery because I can’t upload images. Sometimes I can upload between 1-4 images, sometimes 0 images are not too big (50 to 250Kb each) I have an error in the console: Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found) on the wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
does Salient require a specific server configuration ?

No, there isn’t any special requirements you would need for that – have you checked with your hosting company to take a closer look at what might be causing the upload failure?

Hello ThemeNextar and congratulations for the Salient Theme. I have a question/wish to make. Is it possible to limit the parallax effect on VC only for x or y axis? Is there a shortcode for this on the settings of a row? If not, is it possible to implement this feature on a theme update?

This can maximize the creativity of the parallax effect I think.
PS: Also could be a nice idea to add z axis on parallax, while moving the mouse or scrolling to have zoom-in/out effect 
I don’t know if you can do this but I thought to drop this idea here because I believe Salient is an over all theme for any use that could make good use of this

I’ve recently taken over web development for therfieldpreschool.co.uk after a long period of time during which no updates were applied. I’m in the process of learning my way around the site and see that it uses the Salient theme, however, I have a question. On the mobile version of the site, in the navigation bar, when I click on the about page it opens up a navigation sub-menu rather than going to the about page. Is there any way for the about link to go to the about page? I would also like to keep the sub-menu, as these are important pages on the site.

unfortunately on the woocommerce checkout page when I click on the dropdown to select the country I’m in the whole page reacts as it was a link and just blanks out to the background color of the page and that’s it? haven’t updated to the new woocomm version… talking about the one before… any ideas on that? :((

You can import multiple demos, but then you’ll have all of the pages from each – Salient also offers a template library which can be used within any page which contains 155+ templates, so the odds are the sections you would need would be in there

Does the theme require an update to incorporate any changes relating to the Woocommerce 3.0 release? Or is it something that is automatically applied on your end? My Envato Market plugin is not working at the moment so I can’t see if Salient has come out with a new version compatible with Woocommerce 3.0.

I am going crazy with frustration regarding the responsiveness of this theme. I can’t figure out how to change the text size for tablet/mobile/pc. It is enfuriating. On desktop is nice and large, then it gets very tiny on laptop resolution, very small on tablet and then nice and big again on mobile. I’ve been trying tho change the bloody settings but can’t figure out how and the documentation doesn’t seem to help, google isn’t finding anything good and it’s been over 6 months since I purchased it….
